Thx for the props and the feedback on the evaporative cooler PB!ps. that evap cooler works wonders. I have found it will go through about 4 gallons in twelve hours on the high setting. I suppose that it would go through more or less depending on environmental circumstances. No, it doesn't make good noises when it runs out of water- sounds like a dryer alarm; ooops. Needs timer.
Shady, nice work bro.
PB
Sounds like a proper solution brah! Thx for the advice again...in drier climes, swampers are da shizz... cooling AND humidifying, all for a tiny fraction of the cost of AC.
You might consider installing a evap. cooler style float valve, and connecting that to your water supply. Less hassle keeping up with refills that way!
Nice mod eh! I haven't picked up a humidifier just yet, but I will look for one or an evaporative cooler soon...Don't know if you got a humidifier yet? I buy the whole house humidifiers from sears
they go on sale all the time 100$ off. I have 3 of them hooked to my res with auto fills hooked up. Just drill a hole and set and forget. I use H2O2 to keep them clean and replace the filters every 3 grow. When they brake you just take it in and they replace it. I have had one crater so far. Here are some pix of what I do to them...
Thx bud! I'm just trying to stay on top of things...Your kickin ass shady good shit bro
Thx sdgrower!Looking great like usual Shady. Thanks for showing the way.
Right on RollinEndough! I'm sure you'll be rocking them soon... I want that gavita...I want those baskets, ballin'.
Thx bud! I'm only using the neem with Penetrator, but I'm not using any detergent soap as the Penetrator is supposed to be the surfectant if I'm not mistaken... I have never used Liquid Light...Neem oil is the best, good for your skin, brush your teeth and a 100 and 1 other uses. I have found that using a surfactent helps to disperse the neem for evenly and helps keep it in suspension. Surfactent is just a fancy way to say
lower the surface tension of a liquid, the interfacial tension between two liquids,
so if you add a few drops of dish soap like ivory, do not use antibacterial soaps. I have an articular on neem that a good friend wrote for one of the better hydro gardening mags if you interested. I found neem to be most effective when used right from the get go, as it will keep bugs at bay, but is not a knock down killer, great stuff. Are you using it with penetration and LL?
Many thanks M.S.T.!Awesome job Shady. All so healthy and beautiful. Very sexy staff of ladies. You pimpin hard! Upscale.
Glad to have you on board QBM!Shady this is turning out to be a hell of a show here... those are impressive look at how healthy and happy they all are... Im feelin this shit son
Thx Metaray! It took me a while to get to this stage... I started with a single light setup and slowly upgraded after each harvest...Inspiring thread Shady.
Under current is so amazing. I hope to set a setup like yours one day, but not enough money for it currently.
Metaray.
Thx bigcheese! The wood frame holding the protective plastic sheeting is 4' x 6'. This holds the entire UC6. The chiller and 55 gal top-off res are set next to the frame.damn shady. you got it doing on up in chea haha. . how much space is the UC system taking up. first time i saw 1 of those i was blown away, love the system even without ever running 1. youre kickin ass up in here . keep it up.
Thx M.S.T.!Awesome!
No worries brah! The girls have been eating as evidenced by the drop in PPM's, so I'm not sure that going below 250 PPM @ 0.5 conversion to EC would be wise at this point. I have major leaf curl at the edges and I suspect it is being caused by moisture heat stress from low RH and/or possibly too high of water level in the buckets. I will probably lower the water level tonight to be just below the net pots...I'm still sticking with my assumption based on the appearance of the leaf tissue. The wrinkles in the leaf margins should be taught and paper thin.
Only trying to help ya Cap'n, I'm sure you'll avoid the iceberg ahead and keep the ship afloat.
Sup Rival! Thx for stopping by my new thread... I'm sure you will do well in the Under Current if you ever get your feet wet...Yo Shady! Long time no see, bro. Good to see ya back in the swing of things. I need me a UC set up still. Best of luck with everything!
