Yo tokers and growers, the Afgani 6 are starting to settle down, and new growth abounds. Apart from a bit of tip burn due to being over jolly with the nuits, the plants are doing well. The colour is nice, roots are pushing through the substrate. Still in veg, but if they stay on course, they should switch next week.

Bit of tip burn. :(

Cruise Control on. Keep tokin folks. :smoking:

Evening tokers and growers, the Afgani 6 were put into flower this afternoon, so we'll see what happens over the next 8 weeks.

Your browser is not able to display this video.

Plants are all good at the moment, picked up a bit of tip burn last week, but the new growth is over it, so nothing to worry about, got the odd thrip bite, so spraying them until the flowers develop, hard little bastards to see in this bushy strain, but I think I can batter them bad enough to avoid a major upset. lol The mixed fem ten that I planted have produced 0/10 at the moment, could be a wipe out, bad seeds maybe, who knows, I'll give them another week, and if it's a no show, then I'll have to find some thing else to bury. lol And that's it for now. Keep tolkin folks. :smoking:

Well that's week one out of the way, and very bushy little sisters they are. No problems to report, all six have good colour and vigour, so it's off into week two we go. U

Still no life from the mixed 10 fems I was gifted, hard to believe none out of the ten put out a sprout, nearly two weeks now, I'll give them a few more days just in case they're just lazy seeds, but hope is fading for a good result, never had seeds take this long to pop, we'll see. Potted up a Juan Herer cutting and a Gorilla cut to run next time round, don't know what else will be going in, got a nice looking little Lemon Haze, it has a nice structure, so I think it's next up, not had a lemon strain in a while, so maybe this is it. Have to say I'm liking the Bubblelicous as a change smoke, as smoked in the film Poltergeist from 1982. Very powdery flowery smell, taste slightly of Bazzooka Joe's. lol And there ends another hastily arranged update. lol Keep tokin folks. :smoking:

Well we've arrived at week two of flower, all's green and mean, still got a bit of stretch to go, the plant's stalled for a day, not sure why, Summer heat maybe. Anyway, it's skirts up, knickers down, and legs shaved time, got to look their best as they enter week 3. :)

Still nothing to show from the 10 mixed fem seeds, strange to have ten duds. :speechless:
The Lemon Haze is looking good, 4 weeks from seed, it's going in next round, like a nice lemony taste.

And that's the Afgani 6 caught up, should be talking about ten other seeds, but. That's a wrap. Keep tokin folks. :smoking:

Week 3 of flower whistles by, all's good with the plants, no issues or defs, and they're drinking like thirsty camels. Flowers are now bushing out the whole length of the upper tops, so this bodes well for a good harvest.

Plenty of tops.

Plenty of flowers forming on the upper tops.

Like walking up a tree lined avenue.

Nice level canopy for a change. HPS makes the weed look variegated in leaf colour. Now there's an indulgence, variegated weed. Stripey Gorilla maybe.

And there ends another update. Keep tokin folks. :smoking:

Week 4 has bit the dust, nothing to complain about, no defs, all six plants have good colour. So not a lot to report this week. So a quick vid and a couple of pix will tell all.

Some good node spacings, and plenty of flower coming on. :)

We've finally arrived at week 5, the week to keep an eye on every thing, and not a time to be lazy, or you generally pay the price. All is still well with the Afgani's, they've put a bit of weight on this week, colour's good, no defs, can't complain with these plants this run, definitely better ran on their own and not ran in a mixed group, because this cabbage is finicky as fook, so no matter how it turns out, this is it's last shout in my stable, all the other Afgani plants have been passed on to buddies to make room in my small grow, for some thing different to try.

Starting to turn into a frosty old cabbage. :)

Bulking up a bit round the tops. :)

And a quick pic of the wind blowing over my six praying ladies. :)

And that's about it for these six (update), 3 more weeks and we'll see what we have to work with. Never bothers me how long a grow takes, until the last three weeks, then I can't wait. lol
Keep tokin folks. :smoking:

Kudos Chem, that was one hell of an eighteen page ride through several grows, so far, along with the builds. I do appreciate all the excellent info and pix.

Welcome back, week six and nothing much to report, no defs, thrips are back having a nibble at the Afgani's, and a little bit of light burn/wind burn. As the plants head into week seven, can't see anything getting in their way, all have good colour, so no worries.

The canopy.

The wind burn/light burn, it's just the inch between the wall and the rest of the canopy, I think the white wall behind the plant is what pushes those leaves over the edge, and the fan stalls at that point for a second as it changes direction, did the same to the Gorilla that I grew in that same position last run.

Thrip damage, and a bit of old tech to back up the digital thermometer, just in case. :)

Super sticky.

And that's it folks, keep tokin.:smoking:

Yo, as week seven waves good bye to the future and slips into the past, week 8 begins, no problems, cola's are getting fatter, another week and they should start to fall over. lol
First pic is the canopy, you can see what the plants have packed on since last week, love it. :)

Cola's are not fat all the way down, but they're about half the stalk in length, and about three BIC lighters in width, so not bad.

Very sticky plants, like giant Venus Flytraps.

Don't know how long these will run, at week 7 they're still pushing out new flower, so maybe nine/ten weeks, then the flush, would be nice to get another run in before Christmas. lol :party1: Keep tokin folks. :smoking:

Morning tokers and growers. That magic week 8 has arrived for these Afgaini's, still pumping out the muff, no defs, so can't complain. :)

First pic is the canopy, in not so HPS light.

Still a lot of white hairs for week 8, but they're browning off at the base of the cola's, so their time is coming.

Back to the HPS and a bit of frost. :)

And that's all there is to report this week. Was hoping to report on some new seeds, but nothing has arrived yet. :(
So, until next week, keep growin and keep tolkin folks. :smoking:

Had a couple of hours to spare, so thought I'd get some cuttings taken, I favour the small rockwool cubes, but after this batch is gone I'm going organic plugs, of some description, not decided on a brand or type. Anyway, it went like this. :)
Rockwool stuffed into mini pots, and my home made rooting machine is assembled. lol

Next up, chuck the cubes in the jug full of water, have a bong while they soak. :smoking:

If your feeling opulent, then add a spoon instead of using your fingers. lol

Next up it's just a case of chopping some nice bits from your plants, and dipping them in your chosen rooting compound, I like this brand. :)

And stuffing them in the rockwool cubes. :)

Don't forget to label them as you go, or your fucked. lol
Cuttings under the dome, and away they go.

Next six up are, Super Lemon Haze, Juan Herer, Aurora Indica, Bubblelicious, a Gorilla type, and I want another go with the Purple Bud, I don't think I did it justice growing it with the finicky Afgani, so this time it's in with good solid Indica's, so it can eat until it's obese, and by the time the Afgani 6 are chopped, these next six should have filled out.

And that's what's coming up, unless something else comes up, keep toking folks. :smoking:

Yo tokers and growers, week 9's gone and we move into week 10, the flowers are starting to brown off, buds are still fattening up. No sign of defs, or other problems.

The canopy.

Still quite a bit of muff on these plants.

Other than that, nothing more to report at the minute. Keep tokin folks.

Yes, I'm hoping they're done, and flushed by twelve weeks, but these are slow plants, last time I grew them they were slow to finish. This is not a trait I like, as it can lead to bud rot if the plant is tight and leafy like these, it's when they sweat, there's no way for the plant to evaporate the moisture as the new leaves grow inwards.

I'm hoping the end result pays off in extra pleasure, last time I grew this cabbage type weed it took 14 weeks. But the longer the Afgani's take, the more veg the next plants going into flower get, so it's all good in a round about way.

Yo tokers and growers, been away for ten days with the family, no phones, tabs, PC, good for the soul. The Imoji's have changed, can't find the toker. Anyway, plants are down, stuck them on a flush before I went away, so when I got back we would be ready to groove, and get the next 6 transferred to the flower space. The one thing I didn't want to happen, happened. Bud Rot took out 4 of my main cola's. Ah well. I new this would happen, it was on the cards, for some odd reason these plants sweat a lot, and there's no way to get the moisture out of the middle of the bud, to much air and your leaves dry, to much heat and they sweat more, this strain is more suited to being grown outdoors, or a high tech grow room with climate control, it likes a dry environment, and since I grow with mainly DWC (water). Moving on.

This is the flushing canopy before I took the family away, the plants were just starting to yellow off, so thought I'd put them into flush.

But when I got back home, the bud rot had taken it's toll. Only lost the 4 tops, and funnily enough, these were the 4 on the fan side (blowing away from), so not getting the same airflow the other side of the room gets.

Lucky this was not a total loss. Will post the other pics when I get minute, it's been a rush since we got back. lol
Keep at it tokers.
