yeah bro - if it aint broke, dont fix it... If ya get a bulb fail (or 2) then start second guessing it...

technically dont bulbs fire over and over again but just appear to be lit constantly?

Is an hour off long enough for the plants to start to stretch for the bulbs that are lit?

I really like this experiment your running and just may be my solution to expand my medical grow without having to pony up for a 2 ton split and res cooler

motherlode - Right on, you see the potential as well. This will remain as is, but may go for 2 hour intervals next time as further experiment.

Smokin' oil 'till I can't see straight. All the projects are pretty much dialed. Spinner goes 12/12 on the 1st.

seems like you got a good idea instead of getting 2 big ass ac's you could just flip flop the light every 2 hours and double the lights and plants in the grow with the same size ac...in return saving money but yielding more! see i thought about this when heath robinson first mentioned and experimented with it...but i always wondered if my nugs would be as solid and if i would yield double the amount? im still pondering this hard like that monkey picture you posted lol

thetreegrowerrr - Ya got the hairy male DNA in ya too eh? It's a wonder us stoners get anything done with all the monkeying around!

this is something that would take a kick ass electrician but would great and would put out massive yields! shit im gonna try it monkey blood is running wild through my veins...i could run 30k with a 5 ton switching lights on and off every 2 hours! to the drawing board!!

Olyver will build you a board that has PLC's and the logic to checkerboard on whatever schedule you want.

Seems easier than daisy chaining PowerBoxes together. That is, unless something failed.

I hate to be the bubble buster, but yield is always relative to total light output over a given area. With that said, even though the light source is repositioned, the light intensity is still the same collectively over that given garden.

Same phenomenon with light movers which is typically more elongated plants with beautiful flowers.....but ultimately about the same yields as if have the area was used with a more concentrated source of light. IMO

The application still kicks ass though, thanks for sharing RED =)

Now what could be easier than connecting a buncha Flipboxes? Here's the manual, simple as pie.

IIRC you are a graphic artist, but damn you must have one hell of a pic gallery/stock to pull some of images from. A pic is worth a thousand words. In your case, a few thousand.

I used to think that as well, but stoney419 over on IC ran some tests with his dialed tables (8) 4x8's with 2 600s on a mover vs 3 600's stationary over each table. Yield was always better on the mover tables, everything else being equal.

It will be tough to compare this lighting scheme to pure watts/ft2 as I don't think he's run this before like that. Interesting experiment nonetheless. Do I think it will be double? No. But I do think it will be better than if he cut the room in half and smashed everything under the 3k.

It simply has to be true. With 3k over 12 I'd probably get in the 5-6 range. With the 24 I'd hope to max out around 8-9.

Time will tell. These Hesi nutes aren't anything to write home about. May lose my patience and switch over to Dutchmaster, proven killer.

That was going to be my next question, how you were liking them.

Guess that answers that.

Running DM Gold + Pure Flowers and loving it.

Garden of Dreams - Thank you. Let's see what she can do!

Fuckin' spinner motor died. Can't say it's the first time watching that happen to one of these either. Do not recommend.

That room is getting a 1kw flip-flop conversion today though, so there's a theme among the circus. :yes

whats up with your dutchmaster nute schedule, Im running floranova and I want to switch to something that doesnt cling to the buckets

mrdizzle - I played it simple and ran their Gold A+B. For bloom a half-strength dose of AN Big Bud and Overdrive.

Probably swapping to DM within the next few days. Other than the base I may dump in some Zone to nuke it sterile.

Hope ya weren't expectin' a complex recipie!

The ADD .27 leaves a pink film on EVERYTHING. Other than that, its a pretty clean base, pH stable as all get out.

The UC at a dose of one blue bucket per plant acts as an ADD.42 replacement. :D

I can't believe the spinner already failed. not even trying for a replacement?
