I still say dogs are the answer in Cali. If you are protecting your family with a gun you just commited a felony if ya have kids. If you have a gun in your house it must be unloaded in a lock box and have a trigger lock or you just committed child endangerment. 1 count per child in the home. and try explaining how you were in duress when ya unlocked the box unlocked the trigger and loaded your gun. alot more time than calling 911 hmm.. not gonna fly your going to jail. I do believe thieves should be shot but i dont believe in leaving my family unprotected and unsupported while i do time. Bndr u reminded me of a real life story when some dude broke into a house and fell in the kitchen and got hurt and successfully sued em. But that is rare bro I think the reason it even made it to court is because the guy claimed they left a key under a mat outside for em which they didn't but they did have a key outside hidden there for themselves. So that is how that happened the headline was like : 'Thief breaks in and sues for an injury he suffered during robbery.' But I later read that he didn't steal anything or break anything he used the key which is why he won.

Every time I've been into a collective in la, there is always an armed guard at the door with a firearm visible. What makes this ok ( and I think required in some citys ) , but not ok for you to own a firearm if you are growing 100% legal at home. Anyone know of security guards at clinic's being sentenced to 5+ years for having a gun?

Im with ya on that. I have been faced with that situation. Car jacked at Gun Point. Granted I was drunk. I was carrying. I had maybe 5 occasions were I could have popped both of them in the back of the head and then went and got something to eat. With me being drunk I would have been in jail......a long time. I let them take the car and my wallet. Was that the right decision? In my mind yes. Granted the guy driving the car went and bought a a pistol the next day and started carrying. Do I carry anymore? No. The Drug and Gun laws hit me close to home. Texas dont fuck around with possession. 5 years for a registered pistol and a blunt in my car no thanks! Not to mention loosing all my gun rights after that.
