Eww, the 4.0L Jeep motors are trash. (sorry to offend any purists, they are absolute shit.) Terrible gas mileage, no torque and shitty power production.
Reading about that STI is sounding a lot like my Datsun @Junk. I'm not making nearly that kind of power and it's only an OEM clutch but with the suspension work I have done to it anyone that rides in it thinks that I fucked it up. I disagree, taking corners at 100+ MPH is an awesome feeling. You move in the seat, but the car stays put. 140+ is a dream, car sucks down and holds the pavement like she was meant to move that fast all the time. Speaking of not making decent power, I need to go do some work on her.
@DemonTrich those are some serious cars you have the pleasure of being around! Would love to have consistent access to physically hear and touch those super cars. Never would own one personally, too much damn maintenance. Read one time that a Ferrari will spend more time in the shop than on the road because every time you take it out for a cruise it has to go back in and have the valves adjusted and get a full tune up. Ridiculous. Doesn't change the fact they're gorgeous automobiles and do have a place in our world of speed.
