We let the adult male hang with the rest of them for a bit while we watched.
The baby male (Buddy) wanted to play "head butt" with the adult male,
We let them play till little buddy started to bleed, then we had to separate em :(
That little guy's hair was standing up..he wanted to fight!
The adult seem to be going easy on him though.
this is him playing with him mama

heya folks...wyandotts are so dumb they'll drown while it rains cause they look up...had a visitor come over earlier...he's been watching dutch and I work and he's a very well known handler of champions...he's offered his services, for a fee of course, to make dutch a word champion in Schutzhund III...he says he sees a champion with a little effort...a year is what I'm told it will take...not sure what I would lose if I did this with my dutchie...he means far more to me than a bunch of trophies if he gets aggressive...more aggressive I should say...he'll eat a man as it is when commanded

That's about the best flock guardian around(so I'm told by all my wool making ladies). He must be really enjoying himself with all the little hoppers, too. They're so silly at that age!
Thanks for the share!

Proper Sentry training (for show & for function) shouldn't ruin him if he's trained by a good handler. Is he of US or European descent?
I'm going out on a limb & assuming that handsome furface in your pic is him.

yes Kit, sure is...he's obedience trained, protection and aggression trained...all Uncle Sam's training...military and no games...SCHIII is agility, obedience, and tracking...very competitive...he's got the bite and protection down to a science, just dunno if there's a line in the sand for over training a dog thereby altering his personality...he won't bite unless commanded as it is...unless some dumb ass does something really dumb like reach in the truck of take a poke at me...all bets are off then...his protection skills are insane

not sure right now...depends on how he likes it and I know he will, off the chart ball drive and super hard impact hitter and biter...I'm assured a III title in 5 weeks locally...dutch has all the skills, he just needs to hone them...alot depends on the next conversation...I won't risk him crossing the line...you should see him at traffic lights...he scowls at people approaching me...in my line of work, hobby work, I travel far with large sums at times in not so nice areas...having a friend in the pocket is one thing but a 100 lb. shredder with the windows open...I hope I never see him tested other than when we work to train...

Went to bed at 630pm, up at exactly 420 am...
Wake up 420 or close everyday, the exact time my father died. spooky..
Was wore out from fishing and farming and farming and fishing...
Coffee, hash dubbie then more of the good life, however no fishing today, Sunday nap after some love making is the way we start our week...
Then it's farming and fishon all over again. Sweet deal if ya ask me..

One step closer to having my veggies in the ground. All this manual labor is making my pants fit better. Exhausted from playing with manure all day, I need a shower something horrid.

Good to see everyone!

Woke up at 7am with a mad craving for Zydeco...
*poor neighbours*
Chickens loved it.

I've got a plant that's showing real desire to grow. Hopefully it's going to be a beast so I can practice all these great cloning techniques Y'all have taught me. (I need the practice... well, I want the practice) I just wish I knew what it is.
I guess it's a mutt & that's fun, too.
Now, to keep the rats off it...
;)

Up before sunrise. Breakfast in me, coffee going in. (is there a way to set up an IV drip?)
Gonna rent a tiller and walk it home. My body says I'm not allowed to turn that much soil 2 days in a row. At least when I walk it back it will be down hill.

Short of tilling, I gotta..... eh, lots of stuff. Why cant days off actually be days off? I swear I go to work just to avoid the to do list

Anyone who grows doesn't get "days off".

I feel for ya. I have entirely too much tilling to do, as well.
At least I have my own itty bitty tiller.

Ken, you got a floater! Wait... a DOUBLE floater! (Looks like a two-headed goat) Good photographic work! How much land have you got, anyway? I wish we had some more spread to our spread. And some level, too.

Wow... I know you love your boy, but assuming he's intact, you must have a HELL of a dog there. It's not just trophies, it's that knowledge and, frankly, stud fees having a dog like him covering only the very best bitches. Plus, his color is fabulous. Have you ever read The Story of Edgar Sawtelle?

Yeah, I have plans for the other Wyandotte. It's called 'soup.'

I built this pond on a hill :woot:

I need to add some more dirt under the liner at that far end ....
but someday we want to make a little stream there and have it flow into a bigger pond below this one :)

I'd kill for 5 acres of vertical mud at this point.

Love the pond.
