I can vouch for this,My son brought me a brownie from a dispensary he vended to that was supposed to be a double dose but in reality it was like 10 times that because whoever made it fucked up,I was begging my old lady to call 911 but she made me tough it out.I was literally hung over HARD for like 4 or 5 days,I was so pissed i went to give the dispensary owner a piece of my mind but when i got there i found out he had ate the same brownie and went to the ER and they kept him for 2 days!I dont eat edibles anymore, lol.I have no doubt in my mind it could kill a dog.
The Very 1st time my wife did edibles it was from a dispesary in fresno
it was two dose Cheese cake she ate less than half...and wanted me to call an ambalance...I told her she would be ok..but she was scared..So I called..
they came....they told her she would be fine....she fell asleep a couple hours later..
she was just scared mostly....and thankfully she was willing to try it again,
Home made and tiny doeses at 1st. That was 3 years ago... Helps her sleep every night now :)

Night folks :) Peace

Sister is a vet. I've been a dog guy forever. Many vet friends- large and small(mammal). I'm not saying don't do it if you think pups wants it- just know its toxic to dogs and like alcohol and humans, toxic shit has its limits. Blow smoke on your dog a couple of times, if it comes back next time maybe the feeling was alright for them.
Dog in my neighborhood last year died from eating dope. I know someone posted about one horse and one cat died in all of last year but thats just not the real tally.

EDIT: Oh yeah, Morning Ya'll the wind has stopped and its likely to be the best day of 2014.

Good morning! Hope everyone is staying warm. Brrr it's cold! Having a hazelnut cappuccino this morning.

Good morning folks! Got a lot done yesterday, bunch more stuff posted up on eBay to sell, had the fellow Dave hired do a bunch of brush clearing and chipping and MAN he works fast! I'm amazed at how much he did in an 8hr day, and I feel a lot better having more manzanita down and chipped with this "winter" we're having.

Y'all realize we don't even get springs this warm, right?
And we are assuming the vets were correct about what actually killed that horse and dog

But I hope we can find out more about dogs and cannabis

Many cannabis lovers also love dogs
We should know if it's not good for them
A cat and a horse. I'm making a whole lot of assumptions, but I figure that if they did a post-mortem (and on a horse that's a big deal, we always had post-mortems done on our horses) and felt that they could unequivocally state that the death was caused by cannabis, they must have used techniques and methods that would allow such a statement. I agree, I'd like to know a whole lot more about cannabis in general. :)

I tell you what, it really blows me away how many animals can't eat onions. And avocados!

When I made my 19gram brownies that happened to me. I felt as though I couldn't breathe. I calmed myself down and made myself go to sleep. Woke up super-late, at 9am, the next morning. Dave...? Not so much.

I dont know how much was in them sea but it was the worst and thats coming from someone who has a pretty high tolerance to such things.I had the dry heaves so bad trying to get that shit outta me it felt like i had cracked ribs for months,i can only imagine if a child or animal got ahold of that shit as im 6' and 210 lbs.

Good Morning good Farmer's! Blessed safe productive day to ALL! ! Didn't sleep at all UNTIL , i found a bit of some lulu( green crack x federation seeds mikado) courtesy of them good ole boys up in Canada at Northern Alliance Genetics! Respect! !

Toxicity
An LD 50 has not been established in dogs or cats. Research in dogs and monkeys showed that oral doses of delta 9- THC and delta 8- THC ranging from 3,000 to 9,000 mg/kg were not lethal, and all dogs recovered within 24 hours of ingestion. 5 At higher doses, clinical signs in monkeys persisted up to five days. 5 No histopathologic lesions have been noted in dogs or monkeys. After ingesting 3,600 mg/kg of delta 9- THC, rats developed mild to moderate lesions, including splenic hypocellularity, lung congestion, pneumonitis, thymic congestion and hemorrhage, and adrenal congestion.
I'd need help with the math here, are they saying they had these animals ingesting 3.6g of pure THC? The mention of lesions is obviously troubling, but I have trouble with numbers unless they've got a dollar sign in front of them.

Prognosis
Out of more than 250 cases of accidental marijuana ingestion reported to the ASPCA APCC, two deaths were reported. In one cat, exposure to multiple agents was possible, and the results of a gross necropsy revealed that the animal probably died of complications of cardiomyopathy. The second death reported was a horse with signs attributed to colic, but a gross necropsy was not done. The prognosis is favorable for symptomatic animals with no secondary complications, such as aspiration pneumonia. With supportive care, these animals usually recover within 72 hours.

I've seen more horses die or have to be put down from colic than I care to think about. Colic is damn near a 100% killer. So in my mind if the animal was already colicked, THAT was the cause of death. All it needs is a single ligament to snap and some guts to slip through, and their whole digestive system shuts down. Horses have very delicate digestive systems in my extensive experience.

So based on this report, I'd say that we have yet to be able to attribute ANY animal deaths to cannabis ingestion. There seem to be secondary factors at play in all scenarios.

i read both those real quick..
the two dogs that died ate chocolet
the horse had colic

But I dont plan to give our dogs any weed...Hope I never need to

I have a 19 yr old toy poodle. She lays around and sleeps all day. I'll get her high and she acts like a puppy again. She's never ingested it. We just give her shotguns. lol

She's adorable. My girl looks at me like I have flippin' dragon breath whenever I let ANY smoke drift her way. Our old cat, or I should say my husband's old cat who is now no longer with us, Stinky or Stink-mon, loved gettin' all up in my smoke. The kitties we have now just look at me. And say, "meow."

G'Afternoon y'all. Another cool cold day down here in the sunshine state. Hurting the extra metal parts in my body. In about a week or so I hope to be back riding my motorcycle so I can visit a new friend.
