Careful chickenman, we don't want too many folks back East realizing that they get the shaft from the weather ALL the time(excepting large amounts of water...). We probably shouldn't let them know that arid temps like -14 this morning ARE Preferable to twenty degrees and 75%humidity...

Workin on the Harley... AGAIN. They really start to break more after 75k. Breakfast, chores, lunch, work, then home. CM's life looks like a permanent vacation.

Am up and out at sun up. Everyday must grind, mix and feed 200 lhs of chicken feed, wash, box up eggs, in season milk 15 goats, make cheese, breakfast, animals are always fed before myself, then whatever else needs to be done till around 2pm or so then it's nap time, deliver goods, or hit the river till around 7 pm or dark thirty, then its time to collect and evening feed goats and chickens.
Always something to do or needs to be done. The work is endless so I have learned to combine work and play. Most days the work is play, but sometimes it gets old especially when shit breaks down or I get overwhelmed. Got 2 workers part time who cover for me when I need to fish, but it's mostly myself and wife running the show...
Have traveled the world seen a lot, this is where I belong for now, someday may hand it over and live on a beach somewhere.
I have worked ass off to get where I am at, it's all downhill now after all the hard work it took to get to the top, so it is time to enjoy the fruits of my labor......still work hard like many others do but am not a slave to the big boss man, just chickens and goats and wifey...

Still sounds like a good life to me.
I am so grateful, can't believe it myself at times........
Hard work and luck...

When you get older keeping active spiritually, physically and mentally is preventive medicine of the best kind.
What could be better for any one than fly fishing and farming ? The hand to eye coordination, fresh air, hiking and wading in the water, constantly thinking about fishing, clearing the mind of all else.
I get such a high on the river and farm with or without shrooms or pot. Growing a lot of your own food, passionately sharing preparing and consuming...
13 years ago folks thought were we crazy. Now wife's retired from high paying job of 45 years as a nurse to farm, she sleeps in everyday, cause she deserves it.We both get by on small pensions, and farm breaks just about even.
Have not nor we will we ever worry about money we live way below poverty level after expenses.
We have each other, our health, and lot's to look forward to in the future.....
Don't be afraid folk's, if I can find it so can you.......

Will continue on with this......cleaning my office...

I wanna be like Chickem man someday!..
But I retired to early and my pension is too small now that the county i live in says I cant grow my own meds on my own land. :(
I guess need to go back to work to pay for my wifes meds
..I knew when I retired from the union it probably wasnt forever..
Im still young enough to work for another 20 years or so
Building stuff was still fun sometimes, But I was sick of the BS and Faking piss tests
So I had to get out of that line of work..
Now...WTF am I going to do...I dont want to fake piss tests..
I dont want to quit smoking..Its what keeps me sane.
I need to find a job in the MMJ industry..any of you know anyone that's hiring?

Hey Seamaiden, Can I post a "looking for work" thread? :wacky:

Now you're talking buddy. That is my ultimate favorite concert of all time. :)

this was also one of my favorites. Saw this show at Red Rocks 3rd row dead center general admission seat..
Never will forget this. got to Red rocks 6 am first in line, gates opened. Ran down, saved two seats. my friend brought up my 78 year old neighbor Millie Fishincord, and we saw this up close.....
