It's stick so easy and only need 2-3" I wouldn't fill an area with.. shit actually dries pretty fuckin hard. nothing like that around here hahaah,damn ceder and oak mainly,i love my red oak trees and it kills me when i lose one,when i colorado my in laws used birch also said same thing,stuff does burn a while too,father inlaw brought some down one time ,that white pine burns pretty good too,the pine of east texas has so much sap in it,it will form creasok in your stack,boy let me tell ya though it burns so hot that i will crackfire brick hahahah,when i was hunting,all i used in the woods was that and it burns hot,start a pine knot and sit back and wait for the hogs to come in lmaoI like birch. i burn it outside ,but dont indoors ,shit pops stinks and like i said creasote all up the stack,my dad use to burn it all the time till the stack caught on fire,damn flame was 12ft coming out the stack,folks called the fire deptTip on the pine, burns hot and fast like @oldskol4evr said also pretty dirty and keep the dam door closed it like lighting fire crackers. I would say best ya got is oak there, burns pretty clean and long but a little cooler than the other 2 ya got. Poplar is also dirty burning
