So far with the coco, I've been feeding every day till I get a small amount run off. Using half base nutrient and half bloom to get to 600ppm for flower and about 350 ppm for veg. I've also been using the same nutes to feed my soil girls in flower, just not as frequently. These mid flower girls are starting to get a little more green in them. I think the temp was dropping too low in the night cycle and the were getting locked out of available nutrients in the soil. Temps were about 79 day and when it got cold here last 2 weeks it dropped to 63 night. Could this have been the cause of my troubles??
KK#8 on the bottom right. KK#6 top right.

Vegging some purple storm on the right. Can't wait to see how fat these buds are when run in coco. Clones on the left are MD and Ceasar #2 the keeper. Just transplanted 4-5 days ago.

Yeah man Im in the same learning curve, ive been reading what I can about plant science. Im using big clear solo cups to see the health amd vigor of the roots as youngsters. It helps teach me the more stable plantsThanks Jakey, I was running an amended soil before and re-amended I don't know how many times. It was Peat, Compost, Perilite, and worm castings plus fertilizer. I think I started using too little nutrients in my mix, just eyeballing volume of soil and things got out of wack. Honestly getting tired of all the mixing and storing large volumes of soil mix. I've still got a couple hundred gallons of mix. I'll use it somewhere though.
I'm enjoying the more chemistry approach to growing even though Idk that much. On like day 5-6 of flower I can see white fuzzy roots poking out the holes of my containers.
The main thing is being tired of mixing the soil. Takes lots of space to store the amount I need. Last couple runs the soil has been deficient, fungus gnats, and just wanted to try something new. See if I notice any differences in the nuggage. What issues you having with soil tex? I know some guys start having issues by over amending soil. Once you've done 2 runs you can skip a soil amendment the following cycle.
Oh no doubt you will get larger yields. I cannot deny that. It sounds like your soil was compacting. Excessive magnesium causes soil to hold too much water. The main thing is being tired of mixing the soil. Takes lots of space to store the amount I need. Planning on recycling the coco, and using raw salts drain to waste to practice and new way of growing.
Could be the case, I know I was keeping it too cold for a while too. Didn't notice it was going to the low 60s in the morning. I think I cold shocked the root system, but compaction could be playing a role too.Oh no doubt you will get larger yields. I cannot deny that. It sounds like your soil was compacting. i noticed your pots are directly on the floor. i use shelving from stackable shelves to elevate mine. keeps good O2 flow also. I just use the cheap plastic ones for that.Could be the case, I know I was keeping it too cold for a while too. Didn't notice it was going to the low 60s in the morning. I bet it would help, it's been so cold Leyla. The shed floor is elevated off the ground at least. I'm thinking about making slanted trays out of some roofing metal with a gutter system so I can drain the waste outside. That was a problem with the soil too. If and when I over watered the plants just had to drink it back up.i noticed your pots are directly on the floor. i use shelving from stackable shelves to elevate mine. keeps good O2 flow also. btw they look beautiful lol...i don't feel right giving you any information but i feel that elevating the pots will make things pop.
If only it was that simple. Wife's got me renovating the house all winter.Well sounds like you got a plan now. Go on! Git!
Yes, found 4 females from the first 5 seeds. Very good smoke on all the females. The #2 seems to poses great qualities from both GG#4 and the Triple OG. Large rounded nugs, dense with very good leaf to calyx ratio. Funky sweet aroma. I've had people comment that it is the most potent. Also the highest yielding. We'll see what the rest of the pack holds in store. #2 could be the winner.Have you smoked the Caesar? Looks interesting.
I'm not really sure. Forgot to write it down this time, week 6 I think. You’ve got some very nice looking plants Tex. What day are those in the last two pics?
