" What’s your pet peeve? " Resent away ...its like being offended ....that's your right...my right is not to give a rats ass about offending you.....You asked and I replied, if you don't like the answers then don't ask the question? have you found the ignore button yet?You missed the point entirely, even tho you liked this post above. I have seen how you speak to others and if I have a few posts or nine million makes no difference, my pet peeves are still the same. I earned my “superiority” as you call it and I have never treated anyone here with anything other than respect. I rather resent your catty remarks.
One thing I will say that kind of annoys me is that when these grow places he's hydro store is hire people who claim to know what they're talking about and you go in with the experience that you have not even wanting any of the products that they have just like wanting whatever it might be missing one little thing that you got to get they happen to have it getting into conversations with some of these people it just mystifies me what they put on their application, it reminds me of these guys that come to the tree service claiming they know like I asked him the first thing I asked him is do you know how to tie a clove hitch knot show me do you know how to properly sharpen a chainsaw chain show me 65% full of s***This kind of thing once bothered me, not just in gardening, but in my professional career, as well. Now I just couldn't care less if someone goes with someone else's advice.
If I know something for a fact, I'll tell the questioner or client. If they want to know how I know, I'll tell them that, too, but at that point, they're on their own. Sometimes people don't get something unless they're figuratively hit by a 2x4. No need to get upset by their learning process.
I'm not trying to start a battle, it just struck me as a attitude problem, I've ignored my problem...issue solved...i'm out.alright let’s keep this sane before you all get banned!..
kidding.. well kinda
i see how a thread like this can cause problems, even my comment was a bit harsh,
so keep it descent or it’s getting deleted..

I’ll do my best to calm down and behave@jguit im with you on this one
this started out as a cute thread - never meant to bash newbies or any grower for that matter ! This is a friendly helpful site for all to come and share .
sorry granny I see this being a problem soon. Let’s calm down in here .lol
Too much Calmag! Here's one for all the other smarty-pants, know-it-all growers:
A seedling never came up after I planted it, complete with a strong root, into a pot. Then in another pot, I find this —

What do you think? Overwatering?
lolJust an FYI to all of us pointing out the weird proclivities with people being more experienced than being looking down their noses at other people that smacks of a much deeper issue in that person then their Growing Experience from my experience when I've run into people that act like that there's usually a behavioral issue going on. I call it the you were raised by parents who gave you kids glove syndrome anyone want to question why we have so many lunatics and Society nowadays I'd like to point them to the fact that we had people who said I need to put my kid in a Timeout and give them participation trophies yeah
I studied the difference between them, Keith told me you will get more leads from photos than autos but autos is a 12 or more week life span from germination to flower, depending on the strain, the only difference between the 2 is photoperiod plants rely on the sun upon change you can grow vegetation stages longer where autos they go from germination to seedling bypassing the vegetation stage to flowering, thinking they won't be very big but won't take long, not too bad to have the autos growing inside where I have my photos growing in the greenhouseI have to admit it makes me cringe to see all the interest in autoflowers. It really speaks to the power of marketing.
A common question that I often find difficult to answer is: "How much money will I get?"
-that depends on a whole lot of things, many of which are entirely out of your control.
you will run into seeds or plants that are not very strong, etc., which will die with no faults of one's own they weren't strong enough, but after the seedling stages, they can recover easily if the conditions are right, I have gotten many plants that were on the verge of giving up on them but told them to bring them here & I'll place them in my garden, I have 2 plants out of 3 that were on the verge of dying during the seedling stage, but they recovered but turned out to a lot bigger than I thought they'll be thought they were autos but being photos I HAVE ENCLOSED A FEW OF THEM NOW ON THE VERGE OF FLOWERINGToo much Calmag!
I can tie a clove hitch, my saw sharpening abilities are poor at best. I can put a good sharpening on a case knife.. I’ve a trunk load of Calmag.. Can I have the job?One thing I will say that kind of annoys me is that when these grow places he's hydro store is hire people who claim to know what they're talking about and you go in with the experience that you have not even wanting any of the products that they have just like wanting whatever it might be missing one little thing that you got to get they happen to have it getting into conversations with some of these people it just mystifies me what they put on their application, it reminds me of these guys that come to the tree service claiming they know like I asked him the first thing I asked him is do you know how to tie a clove hitch knot show me do you know how to properly sharpen a chainsaw chain show me 65% full of s***
that's not even true, who told you that. whoever told you that was misinformed, I have had other autos that were decent but they are genetically changed to have the same potency, I just got done reading about that, maybe I can find it to show youAutoflowers have been crossed with a non-potent cannabis species, Cannabis Ruderalis. If someone sells autoflowers at the market rate without disclosing it, they have ripped off the buyer. The quality of Ruderalis hybrids is greatly diminished when compared to purely Indica/Sativa hybrids, across virtually all aspects of the end product: potency, structure, yeild, flavor, smell, bag appeal, etc.
If you're not a heavy consumer and want something that is low maintenance for outdoors thats just for you, then you might consider autoflowers. But if you like it strong or you plan to market it, I strongly suggest leaving the Ruderalis out of your genetics. If you are growing indoors then it really makes no sense to grow autoflowers, because you are already able to control the photoperiod, and thus can make the plant flower as soon as it is sexually mature, just like an autoflower, if you desire.
Cannabis Indica and Cannabis Sativa are the cannabis species that produce the psychoactive effects that are most desired by consumers. Autoflowers have been adulterated. It is pseudo-marijuana; quasi marijuana at best. THC% is not everything, and even on that front the leading photoperiod strains are crushing the leading autoflowers.
Cannabis Ruderalis is not photosensitive, and thus it is crossed with indica/sativa hybrids to create autoflowering strains. Unfortunately, along with the autoflowering characteristics of the Ruderalis, comes the diminished quality discussed above.
you have them everywhere I have seen it since I was a kid, now more than ever, you have those working in departments that have no clue what they are selling, 1 of the reasons I stick with my own knowledge on what I have done, there's a no 1 rule that been out for ages that stick to me that the best fertilizers are the foot steps of the gardener, meaning only you yourself can fix the issues you created & no one can else can pin point an issue unless they knew what you have doneI can tie a clove hitch, my saw sharpening abilities are poor at best. I can put a good sharpening on a case knife.. I’ve a trunk load of Calmag.. Can I have the job?
