Also, I've learned that utilizing some of these steering techniques could shave some time off the flower cycle and I should watch them close when they swell like this to time the water only finish correctly, otherwise I could end up with excess P. And I know P isnt necessary or needed and can even be harmful, but I'm now a believer that it has its place in my grow when used correctly, not as a nutrient, but as a trigger. Ive always used it at exactly the wrong times in the past lol.
And the shortened flower time is mainly because everything is just happening so much faster. Faster budset, faster stretch, faster flower development, and looks like a huge increase in yield. Plus the quality looks off the charts.
According to dudes who taught me this, their pot has been consistently testing higher across the board for Terps and noids since doing this too.

So I mean, take from this little grow experiment what you will. I know what I'm taking from it, and I dont think I'll be doing things any differently any time soon.

I think it's easier to get a quick reaction from the plants in coco or wool for sure. It's also good to do it at the end of stretch too apparently, around the same time I start dialing nutrients back. Light rinse, let them get quite a bit of dryback before resuming regular fertigations.

PICTOU, N.S. —
From this day forward, May 16 is Pizza Day in Pictou County.
The Municipality of Pictou County made the proclamation during its June 1 Council Meeting which took place virtually.
The proclamation made special recognition of the late Alice Xiros, founder and operator of Alice’s Pizza “who served her customers with a smile and a story for over 50 years.”
Xiros was born in Glastra, Greece in 1933. She left there as a teenager travelling to many places before finally settling in Pictou County, where she established Alice’s Pizza on Washington Street, New Glasgow. She passed away on May 16, 2020 at the age of 87.
Warden Robert Parker noted the contributions that immigrants like Xiros have brought to Pictou County.

“She and her family have contributed much to our county,” he said.
Pizza in Pictou County is known for its signature brown sauce. The style of pizza has become so popular it is now sold by major grocery chains such as Sobeys. The sauce is also sold in the grocery stores. Pictou County businesses also ship the frozen product throughout Canada.
Pictou County has in recent years held a competition for pizza makers in the county to taste test who makes the best slice.

Man Alice's was the OG along side Sam's and Acropole. The folks were all related. Alice's was so good, sloppy and spicy, greasy goodness. Oh man I miss PCP...

I saw that in the Chronicle this AM. and thought of you. You've talked about Pizza from there as special, now you have me wanting to take the 2+ hr drive just for their Pizza. I googled Alice's,Acropole & Sam's They look more suited for take out than sit down beer and Pizza places. I don't think they'll deliver so unless I can talk my wife into a long drive for take out pizza I'll have to wait until the next trip through there to P.E.I. by ferry.

I think you can buy Sam's pizza frozen at Sobeys now, might be an option. But yeah they're all greasy take out joints... nothing fancy about it. Well worth the road trip imho. And if you do, get acropole from Westville. Absolutely amazing pizza.

I was picturing a wood fired oven with an ocean or river view pub for a famous Pictou Pizza & a beer, frozen a Sobey's is just not the same experience. We haven't been up that way in a few years, might be worth an overnight somewhere then pizza take out in our Motel with beer. lol

Yeah there is nothing classy about their pizza. It's a delicious greasy mess. Best served with donair sauce for dipping.

I would no recommend an overnight in westville lol... Its a cardboard town.

If you were going to overnight somewhere I'd suggest the Pictou lodge. There are a few attractions around there, the New Glasgow riverfront jubilee in the summer is always a really good time. But get the Pizza in westville on the way haha.

Mr Dirtbag I have a question, after seeing your amazing lawns and fairways I know you have this answer!

something is digging sround my outdoor tomatoes and I want to know what will make them stop?

It's likely a raccoon or rabbit digging for grubs

I'm hoping human urine will work but I'm not sure?

Other things that come to my mind are mothballs, & maybe a product like this..?

Hoping you can tell me if urine will work, or recommend something else I could use, thank you in advance

Unfortunately my training in turf would have me kill whatever they're digging for. Likely using something like Imid for grubs.

Blood or urine based deterrents are only marginally effective in my experience. Alternately you could maybe use something like a stainless steel mesh on the ground as a physical barrier.

Pictures dont do it justice.. Even the violator is packing on size, which is unusual. The cheese, platinum cookies and Lavanda cream are becoming giants.

Violator Kush has officially collapsed under its weight, despite 2 layers of trellis lol. This strain hasnt done this before. Thankfully I was too lazy to remove my drying twine so I just tied them up to that haha. The buds are small, but they're soaked in resin. It's a super resinous strain, and that makes it unusually heavy for its stature.
