trainwreck

looking good, whos tw is that? GH? can u get seeds from the cut anyware?

Strapped in for this.

Great show!

Time for a much needed update.

Quick summary:

Date started (from seed): 2/8/08
Date seedlings broke surface: 5/8/08
(about 48 days from today)

I think there were 7 seeds germed. I gave one TW away because I had no more room, and have 3 females here. Two are still in veg and I plan to use them for mothers/cuttings and one has been put into flower on 9/9/08 (9 days ago). I think there were 2 males killed...my maths and memory are legendarily shite... :)

(EDIT: I took cuttings from the plant I donated and the clones have rooted)

Have just switched over from Boost to CX's Headmasta (cheaper), otherwise nutes are same as they ever were.

First shots are of the two vegging mothers, last are of the very stretchy, very male looking female (pistil shots as proof!) in flower. The vegging moms are deliberately in smallish pots to keep them a manageable size for the time being. Am likely to top them to restrict growth vertically and to keep them small.

hi fast forward how tall were your plants when you put them in to flower,i am currently growing trainwreck my plants are growing like muther fuckers,i was thinking about topping my plants what knowd do you think i could top at,i am currently 3 weeks into bloom.had to repot into my 11 ltr pots yesterday cause of the roots at the bottom of my pots, also do you think i need to go another pot size?

Hi wambam - when I put the TW into flower it was about a 12" high, and it stretched well over a metre, bouncing off my reflector! It's a stretchy one for sure...

I wouldn't repot now...they're blooming. I've got both 6.5 and 11l pots flowering atm and they both have roots coming out the bottom...I think they just do that...

Also topping them 3 weeks into flower probably isn't a good move either...if I were you i'd bend the tops over (I did that with my violators) without breaking them...then sit tight and hang on for the ride :)

thanks for the quick reply ff i am having a problem with the feeding of my plants aswell i am using coco and about 10% perlite i am feeding by hand (pain in the arse). i am looking for how much you feed your pplants in your 11 ltr pots and how often. thanks mate

I water everything daily, irrespective of the pot size. Some days I might leave the 11l pots alone if I don't have the time, but it's rare. I also make sure there's a couple of cm of water in the saucers so that there's a little extra to suck up so that they don't dry out at the base before the next watering.

As for how much, I've no idea...until it starts dripping out of the bottom! I use a watering wand and a waterpump, and generally each 11l pot needs about 60-90 seconds of watering in order to saturate it and drip out the bottom. I then keep going until there's a couple of cm of runoff in the saucers, which stays there.

For smaller plants I put them on a bucket with a garden sieve on top of it, and then water until they drip into the bucket. Small pots definitely need daily watering...

But remember - coco is essentially a hydro medium - you should feed them daily...maybe more if they get really thirsty in flower...

just feed untill u get a 30% runoff . and remember to flush every 2 weeks with ph water

at the end of flower my cheese were getting 3500ml a day

thanks ff think ill sort my feeding situation next time i grow but for now is it ok to hand feed coco? and are the canna products good for nutrients? i am using a and b rhyzotonic and cannazym at the moment is that ok?

Chill bro - it's all good :) Handwatering coco is great, especially if you don't have a lot of plants. Canna nutes are great, just go with their recommended dosages (or use the canna grow calc on their website). Use pH 5.8 for everything (flushing, nute feed).

will it be ok to top my plants im in the 3rd week of 18/6????

No idea...probably :) Check out the growfaq...it's all in there...

Wow...I dunno how I didn't see this thread around sooner.

Im definitely gonna be following along for the ride. Your TWs look healthy as can be man. Cant wait to watch them develop!

Bring on the pics:D

Stay Safe and Be Well
:cool

I was holding off on posting veg pics, but seeing as she's in full flower I'll post some photos later on when the lights go on. Also got two more that were cuttings from the one in flower (when it was in veg) in the coco dripper setup. Very stretchy tall leggy lady so far :)
