you are actually confusing me

Pro Mix says it has Mycorrhizae but not really
and none of your EJ has any micro life (soil microbe/fungi)

promix is not soil
pro mix is a sterile medium

what do u mean it says it does but don't should I get my money back then sounds like a rip off

super lost so there is no life in the soil but I need to feed the life in the soil

pulls out a clump of hair
Here @tinderthumbs lets get right to the point. You should go to Amazon and purchase the book by
Jeff Lowenfals Called "Teaming with Microbes". This is a good place to start if your into "living soil" and organic growing. Read the book and come back , there will be a test at the end of the book. :D

It is hard for folks to help you when you appear to not even have a basic understanding of organic growing. Once you learn the basics it will be easier to help you out as your questions will be posed in a more direct informative way, allowing us to better serve you.

Macro nutrients are the triad the basic 3 N.P. & K Micronutrients are the other essential minerals. That is EJ microblast. Dont confuse micro nutes with microherd. Your microherd are the fungi and bacteria that handle feeding your plant thru a complex chemical proess of exudates from the roots into the surrounding rhizosphere.

I compiled a index with a lot of soil based words and definitions that will help you along your journey. I found it very helpful as I was learning organics and soil science as it hard to learn without understanding some of the terms and wording used in literature . Again, I highly recommend you spend 20 bucks and get that book.

Here is the link to that index I was talking about it is a sticky in the Advanced Techniques forum
https://www.thcfarmer.com/community/threads/soil-terminology-and-definitions.68856/

I hope this helps

Promix and organic soil are worlds apart. You can add all the microbes you want to promix, coco coir, rockwool, etc and they won't do half the job they do in soil. Hell probably not even a 1/4 of the job.

Promix is just peat moss, perlite, a little dolomite lime, and a pinch of mycorrhizae. It's pretty much an inert medium with no nutritional value whatsoever. Some powdered mycorrhizae can never match up to a diverse population of microbiology in soil and who knows if the spores are still viable or not.

Although you may find the ingredients in promix within soil it will have much more to it. Earthworm castings, Compost, Bat guano, kelp meal, bone meal, blood meal, fish meal, crab meal etc. Microbes are only useful if you have organic inputs that you want them to break down into food for plants. If they don't have those organic inputs to live on they won't do a whole lot.

Read that book that was just recommended. I learned A LOT by reading it and it's not a long read at all. It's good stuff.

I understand not ordering online. I'm just tryin to help you out. So with that said, is what Im hearing is you would rather not get the book and continue to struggle with your grows??? It takes all the fun out of it. The problem with forums and information seeking is it can get confusing cause you get 19 different answers to your question and then you dont know who has the right answer for you and your grow. This book will give you a level of knowledge that when you get 19 answers, it will be easier for you to see bullshit when you see it.
