all popped up within 72 hours of planting....I just plant direct into the soil...no soaking,paper towels,scuffing,etc....

I'll transplant 9 of these today..one mutant seedling is getting culled out.....

ideally those seedlings would have been transplanted a day or two ago....allowing plants to get root bound in organic soil is never good.....
Growing seedlings for any length of time in a keg cup just causes them to stress......
Ya I'm not one of those guys either I just wait a little longer than you but only because I'd be scared to damage that tap root...I'm guessing lots of water gets that thing as solid as possible for the transplant. Just because you can grow a large plant in a keg cup,it sure doesn't mean it's going to achieve it's full potential.......
My gardening style is all about getting the full potential out of all phenos.....not seeing how long I can keep something alive in a keg cup

Looks like you got the Chem 91 leaning pheno in that #2 . I hope she reeks up a storm for you. It must be quite a hodgepodge of smells in your room .

soser you gotta transplant them when they need it,to keep them healthy and happy,and yeah,it take space,time ,and resources.....@waayne - copy clones for the strains your running sir , how are they kept ? thou your statement makes perfect sense i sense a big space issue on most parts trying to do this thou I do despise when a cup is root bound and needs watering frequently you can kinda tell its not good and def can't be anything but stressful to the plant

what medium do u use to germ seeds?

Someone should make 16oz smart pots...with velcro..for easy removal and reuse :)
Edit too add; I found some 24oz "Blue" party cups...Gonna use those for my next batch of beans
