Will keep you in prayer brother... God, my wife, kids and friends keep me going.

the VFW while i dont agree with all there political possitions, they made a night and day difference in getting my claims processed, and calling to check on them constantly helped to get them through, and i wasnt even a member...i am now just to pay back there help but, the VFW or DAV can help alot and have offices in major VA's...i was %80 before they gave me my unemployable %100 but they screw you anyway, my %80 shoulda been like 230% or some shit lol, they start subtracting percentage if you have other claims, it doesnt make sense to me...my PTSD has been giving me a hard time lately, one of my dogs just died and im trying to plan a reunion with the guys in my platoon, thats going good but bringing in alot of bad memory's...bitter-sweet
heres a pic of my companion dog, (they wanted my to be in the dogtag program but with house inspections i opted out and got her as a rescue) and some plants im working with some are my own crosses, some are breeders beans, there not sexed yet but some are female seeds, will be on the tables soon...and its good to see this thread back up, its good to have support thank you brothers

Thought I'd pop a question to you guys...have any of you ever gone back into the VA years after separating to get an issue checked out? I got out in Oct. '03 and didn't have any physical problems at the time, in '05 my back started to kill me. Been dealing with it since. I was on a Search and Seizure team and would spend 8 hour shifts out in the water on a RHIB basically rodeo riding the whole time. I know that my back pain stems from the impacts each time the boat crested a wave. Not looking for disability necessarily but I don't have medical ins. so was wondering if they would still see me?

yes get it checked out, tell them about it and get it service connected, that way in a few years if you need a cane it'll be covered because its service connected....and yes the pics were to large :mad0229: but here they are

Hey lazarus va will see you but will means test you until you get service connected!
Crom if your 70% is for one thing you can go for unemployability if your not working which will give you that 30%I for the 100%.
VFW helped me out also the DAV!

Thanks guys, been meaning to get around to it but wasn't sure if it would be just a waste of time or not. I started smoking two years ago after I almost rolled my truck because of my back pain that day, couldn't concentrate on anything. My wife convinced me to try smoking weed so I did and at first I noticed even more pain but once my body got used to the feeling (a week) I just have take some tokes before bed each night and I don't have the same pain. Guess that's what has kept me away from the docs office, don't like them and haven't been to one since my separation physical in '03.

Start up brother as soon as you can... get everything documented both on the civilian side and on the VA side. I have about 3 years worth of medical to bring to them now and I have been out of work because of it. From a DAV seminar I went to... I may qualify for 100% as my back and other ailments keep me from working or holding down a job... also this is done regardless of what my % is... though it is my goal of 100% as everything I am suffering now can be related one way or another to my military service... knee's, ankles, back, slight hearing loss and PTSD. So as you can see I am fucked up...LOL.

Fucking sucks as I am only middle aged.

Military broke my ass. I'm disabled 100% already, and my rating for he 70%->100% is upon decision. I'll be square soon. As for everyone else, go get your money! It's all there waiting, don't get discouraged. We are patient people lol look at our passion, shit takes forever compared to instant gratification. At least 4 months start to finish, a crop. Just saying, and the Vietnam Vets have nice back pay checks! My boy told me about a WWII Vet that came and cleared over $200k! Hell, imagine $10/day since '45! Cha Ching! And I'm not talking about Fox Farm additives! Just sayin.

also if you had to burn tires and piles of trash that includes bio-hazardous waste, try to find the burn pit registry and sign it...if you get a rare form of cancer in the next decade or so, youll know why...my endo says we will have more health problems than agent orange caused, hes been an endo since vietnam vets were coming home and just feels bad for our service men and women

Very good point johnursery made^^! Bottom line is you need to go get checked out asap if you haven't. Traumatic brain injuries, depleted uranium exposure, as well as any waste/grey water/shit puddles you had to enter or trudge through! Just get it taken care of and start collecting the check that will fuel your grow rooms lol. Free money!

Cheers,
Crom

Wow, johnnursery, that's just awful. Not unexpected, but still.

I saw this thread bumped and just want to send a shout out of support to all of you here, and all those vets elsewhere. I had the pleasure last week to make myself better acquainted with a disabled veteran and his wife, along with two of their three sons. GREAT people, and they're making me feel a lot better about stepping out into the spotlight to try to represent them to the best of my ability.

God bless all of you, and if you don't believe in that sort of thing, then I simply wish you well.

Having a rough day today guys, trying to keep it together. Keep me in your thoughts today. Thanks. I think once I can get my garden up and running... it should be a little easier to deal when I have days like this... hate being stuck in limbo.

Thank you Seamaiden.
