Weight for Perfect Drying time?

I don't think those variables will make much difference as a percentage. A fluffy bud on the stalk will be a fluffy bud in the jar.

11 to 12% moisture in the bud is approximately 62% rh in the jar regardless of any variable.
A fluffy bud on the stalk gets blasted or decarbed, its all the pine cones i’m trying to get just right.

Need some volunteers with gram scales to weigh a 20-30g, fresh cut bud or stem and then weight after 24 hours drying at say, 60%rH and 65-70°f.
1 day? You need 6 more then trim and 7 more days of drying before you know the real weight. You can get a descent food scale( in grams) for about $30

One day at a time 4.19, got a plant to cut or just a box of popcorn?

I'll let you know when I'm done weighing everything bro. Is there a point to that question?
Trying to determine the shrink and when it slows down as it approaches finished dryed weight

Take one top and weigh it today. Weigh it again 24 hrs later. Then another 24 etc until dry to cure

Nah, i’ve enjoyed 8 pages of static, use paper bags, use grove bags, put a piece of fruit in the bag, 10-14 days then a week in a paper bag, snap branches, 60/60….all helpful bro science tips from “growers” who really need to learn when their grows are dry enough to cure. I’ve got pounds too, some bags too dry from error on the side of caution to prevent mold but lately i’ve been hitting the sweet spot by determining when the buds are nearly done drying, by weighing them. It seems so obvious to me, when they are nearly done losing weight, jar them to cure with that last little bit of moisture. Rant over

Glad it works for you. I manage to get mine perfect without a scale. 🤷‍♀️

Mine hardly ever get a perfect cure. I can't keep my house cool enough in the summer and winter is usually low rh. But they always turn out better than anything at the store.

All my stuff is already curing or I would oblige... I meant was there a point to asking how many of my lbs are popcorn... or did you just wanna throw a jab? Lol

Madbud on post 131 commented on the popcorn.

His comment to me asks " if your hanging a whole plant, how much difference in the total weight really make?"

At least thats what I think he ment.

Up in 130 you were worried that the little buds would dry quicker than the colas, you are correct. The popcorn gets wicked dry which is good for decarb or freezing to blast, which is all i do with the small popcorn buds.

Yes. I make edibles. Just was saying one bud's reading can't tell you the dryness of the whole plant.
