I finished harvesting six ladies over 6 feet tall, two Blue Dreams, a UK Cheese Head Berry Kush BX'd, a Super Blueberry X Medicine Man, a Vietnamese X Chocolate Thai, and a Lemon Sour Diesel... worked till 4am the last three nights in a row doing so de-fanning and some light wet trimming, and now all are curing in the cure room and today starts a weekend of jamming Blues in my studio on a new piece of gear I purchased from a Pawn Shop on the cheap. I got myself a rare Orange model AD5, a 5 watt all tube(one EL84,one ECCC83/12AX7, hand wired and built in the UK for just a couple of years in the early 2000's. Orange no longer makes this model and replaced with the 'Tiny Terror" models which I feel are greatly inferior to this amp I picked up for just 300 bucks at EZPawn in Lakewood. These orange AD5's are listed in Aspen Pittman's Groove Tube's book/catalog on rare and collectable tube guitar amplifiers. This thing just screams out fat gorgeous tube orange tone and crunch....love this little amp.....going to play the hell out of this great fat sounding little amp today is the plan....till my fingers bleed literally.....rockjing roadhouse Blues the Bluzboy way today.....You can't find the Bluz, the Bluz finds you......but you will have to scream loud over this little amp for me to hear anything you're saying today...

@Bluzboy Nice find!
@waayne-man, I feel like I got real lucky on this Orange AD5 find bro at that price......been lucking out on gear deals lately...recently picked up a all tube, hand wired/built Marshall 1989 JCM900 combo amp, switchable from 50 to 100 watts, with the original 12 inch Vintage Celestion greenback in it for 350 dollars over in Fort Collins from a cash strapped student headed home for Christmas to the Midwest somewhere...needed Christmas money....He was asking 350 and I just went "here dude, no arguments over your price, have a great Christmas cause this just made my Christmas great"...never seen one of these go less than 8 or 9 hundred on EBay....

I bet she screams when cranked up, you gotta love that Orange overdrive/distortion!
Bend a string for me today boss!
I'm running an old Alesis Quadrverb GT into it, just using the compressor, gate, a little slap back delay, with a nice touch of reverb for icing on the cake in a EFX patch I built on the unit and it just SCREAMS FAT BLUZY or ROCK CRUNCH to the nth degree bro.....play till my fingers bleed today....tomorrow and Sunday too...got my end of month full moon harvest and chores done....time for lots of J's, jamming, and bad grindhouse movies in between! have a great levitated weekend brother waayne!

Awesome finds damn! I love hunting pawn shops. I just picked up an orange matamp slave unit for 400 been looking forever it hass 6550 instead of kt88 i dont think thatll make a difference anyway coupled with my green 180w ep180kt88 it freaking rips. You can hear me a mile away. So how big of a difference can you tell between the tiny terror and ad5.

I think the AD5 has a richer fatter tone than the "Tiny Terror" heads that switch from 7-15-30 watts as I thought most of the "Tiny Terror" models are now built in China, have solid state rectifier/power amp and just the pre-amp is actual tubes, I may be wrong...Orange makes a "Tiny Terror" combo with 10 inch speaker also that switches from 7 to 15 watts, but I get mixed reviews on those when I research what other guitar players are saying about them. Being a Blues/Blues Rock guy, mostly Influenced by Johnny Winter, Lonnie Mack, Lonnie Brooks when I was younger and SRV later on in the 70's/80's in my sound and style of play, all tube hand wired amps offer the best sound, tone, response, frequency response in whatever kind of music you're trying to play with your guitar.....I have a couple of Fender Hot Rods, one a 40 watt Deluxe , the other a 60 watt DeVille, all tube tweeds but I rarely play them since getting both of these vintage British tube amps. I am just usually playing the Marshall since getting it and now this 5 watt Orange too....may just sell the Fenders now.... can't make up my mind about it...that's a great unit the Orange you picked up as well... someone has a all tube Orange 100 watt head for sale for 850 on the Fort Collins craiglist which ain't a bad price for the unit...I think its a AD100 MK II model which I think run over 1800 new.....just the head..I scrounge craigslist and EBay all the time for vintage gear deals....obsessively and compulsively....like most "gear" heads of a different sort as we guitar players are...

@putembk- Thanks for the heads up on The Thin Ice band! I will make sure to catch them out and about soon...I been honing my chops so I can go out and tread the boards myself again here soon....I have not live gigged since December of 2006. My last show was a guest guitarist for Rick Lewis from The FOX 103.5 and his Groov Hawgs band for a charity event they were putting on....surgeries, illness and the poverty that came with it kept me sidelined for 8 years.... hope to sit in as a guest performer with a couple of local long time front Range Blues bands here in the near future. I will surely make a trip to see "The Thin Ice" here in the near future too. I will tell them you sent me down to see them if I get the chance too..

@ Bluzboy.....their home base is the Lakewood Grille. The bass player played with Gary Morris in his heyday. He now lives in Grand County, my neighbor, at my cabin. We have been fishen buddies for over 30 years and retired the same year. All he does is play music...all I do is grow pot. ha ha!

I will do that. I got a great bunch of grow brothers that actually live nearer to you than me. I'll make sure you get invited to one of their next smoke outs and seed swaps... a lot of them are breeders as well and all members of the Farmer here...you will have a great time with us all...just had one on the Thornton/Boulder edge of the city recently at a fellow growers house there...I live up in north east fracking Weld County....."we don't need no stinking CO2 generators in Weld for our grow sites...." in fact, its good idea to a inhale a lot or do most of your breathing around plants in Weld County if you want something with oxygen in the mix...anybody want to buy a 'frack drill tower"?.....I'll sell you one, they are all around me.....need to get some of them out of here....hopefully all of them..

Lol, you are gonna hate this.....my daughter lives and works in Weld County. As a matter of fact she is in charge of air compliance and pump down times for Anardaco. So she is the one to bitch to. She tries to keep the air breathable for you guys but the field workers don't give a fuck. To funny....small world.

I would not mind the drilling so much if they attempted to regulate where and how much of it here in this County but they don't... I had drill towers 200 to 300 feet from my residence...that's crazy...County commissioners here are so much in oil and gas' pocket that they will let them drill on elementary scholl grounds and offer to move the playground recess equipment so they can. That's just fucking nuts...and then they try to regulate cannabis to the point that's there is 300 pages of regulations if you want to start up even the smallest of enterprises in the Mj industry ..fucking crazy bro... thats insane hypocrisy to the nth degree..

Yup.....and the shitty thing is because of a medical condition she can't drink ANY alcohol and they hair test so she can't smoke at all. Poor girl wants to smoke one and relax at night but can't. I wish she would look into another job but it pays so well she won't.

The money is too good to find anything that even comes close to competing for the wages she is making here in Colorado which plays into the way she has to play her career cards right now too, which is logic and reason, even though the drug testing thing is and has always been just a violation of your personal civil rights to the nth....I always wonder what Jefferson, Adams, Franklyn, Washington, and other Constitution and Bill of Rights signers would say to a HR person or company CEO when applying for a job when they would be asked take a pee or hair pluck test for that job to test what they had imbibed recently and if they imbibed anything that has been decided by the company or others that they should not inbibe and disqualified them from employment.....I'd love to write a SNL skit on that or see one done on it...Jefferson, and Lincoln smoked cannabis too, Lincoln even wrote about it in his memoirs and stated his favorite time of the day was when all the generals and cabinet members left for the day and he could enjoy a good pipe of relaxing "sweet hemp"(what they called all/any weed then in the 1860's) on his porch in his favorite chair...so I wonder what Lincoln or Jefferson would say if they were turned down for employment for drug test fail or what they said when they were asked to give up bodily fluids for the drug test for employment in the first place...

Back in the day at United airline's their were very few days we did not toke up. worked there 21 years, till fired for the 7th time..In the later years in Denver we would raid the liquor off the plane and open a full bar.
Am amazed we got away with what we did.
Drunk every night.. crash vehicles and run off....
One night my friend drove under the terminal with those service lift trucks and the truck did not clear.
We got out front tires were flat building and truck damaged, off we went still a mystery to this day.
Never once really endangered flight operations, as far as we know...

Another time I was driving the lavatory service truck. When you turned off the ignition key and count to 3, turn it on KABOOM!!!!
Huge backfire.
One day a VIP, ex president Gerald Ford was arriving. The escort him down air star on jet way to limo on ramp.
As I drove by 20 feet or so away I let them have it. Huge boom.
They had him on the ground, guns pulled, panicked.
got a call on the radio few minutes later asking what was the malfunction on that truck..
Dunno I replied, been doing that all day.
They said take it to shop immediately...
I once was a baaaaad boy....
