I just finshed up a flick on cable called "Double" W/ Richard Gere. It is based on sort of a Cold War double agent schtick with lots of twists and turns thruout. Type of flick that really keeps you re-figuring what you think is up and not knowing the real deal till the end....... Not too bad.
My only con for this movie was,
I for a bit could not get the vision of hamsters out of my head. :p

Peace

I watched THIS...

So you didn't have to..

IM GOING TO SPOIL THE SHIT OUT OF THIS NOW STOP READING IF YOU DON'T WANT TO HEAR IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Ok so this move had a GREAT plot, But it was so fucking drawn out you wanna skip right to the end to find out what happened... So i'll save you the time and spoil it.

Starts out Girl mom and dad living the typical life much like american beauty starts out.. Girl meets neighbor boy ends up in lvoe i guess.. Mom is a little off, tired of her life kinda ready to go postal at any min.. The one day she vanishes without a trace, Dad suspects she just walked out on them, Girl accepts this and moves on with her life.. few sex scenes while the plot draws out, she screws the lead detective who reveals he suspects her dad killed her mom whe he caught her having an affair cop claims neighbors mom confirmed wife was having an affair but never said who.. Fast forward girl comes home from college for whatever reason she needs closer on her moms death so she asks her bf about that day since he was MIA was supposed to pick her up from school that day but never showed... Well turns out The bf' was having an affair with the DAD!!! Mom came home early caught dad and girls bf fucking, BF ran out mom stood there laughing, Dad freaked told her to stop laughing she just kept laughing so he killed her and stuffed her body in the freezer.. Girl goes back to college few weeks go by dad gets shit faced drunk at a bar and confesses to killing his wife ect ect ect....
Like i said GREAT plot.. but soooooooooo Drawn out...

Totally have a crush on Shailene Woodley..this will tide me over till Insurgent comes out.

bout to take my wife out for a movie night, torn between Interstellar or Exodus Gods and Kings. Is Interstellar good on the big screen or should i see something more action packed like Exodus?
Exodus got really bad rating wanted to see it. Fury was outstanding. !

Exodus I have heard is just as bad as Noah was. Noah was TERRIBLE!!! Weird Hollywood doesn't even know the story of Noah, and inserted rock people into the movie due to their lack of knowledge. Sad.

Thanks for that input .... Kat has been after me to see it at the theatre. Now I have an excuse!!!!

Finally watched Nebraska last night.

WOW. And by that, I mean WOW!!

Where do I start? The filming itself? I loved the harshness and starkness to the reality of the land and people that was conveyed. Do I start with the dialog..? Fucking classic! I started out hating "Mom" (now I forget her name), then I ended up loving her and her hutzpah.

No, I need to start with the main character, Woody. To say that this character was channeling my father-in-law is very much understating the matter. Now, Grampies didn't drink, I don't think I ever saw a drop of alcohol pass his lips in all the years he lived with us. But replace that with coffee and we've got a match! The physical affect, the appearance, the reactions, the manners and mannerism--ALL my father-in-law, may he now rest in peace.

This, for obvious reasons, made watching the movie difficult for my husband. But I think we both enjoyed it, and I know that we both reacted to the same scenes in very much the same way because every few minutes I would turn to him and say, "Oh my God! That's SO your dad!"

I used to have SUCH a crush on Bruce Dern when I was young, too! And to think that he was, for a period of time, my husband's neighbor when he had a place up at Fallen Leaf Lake.

I'm headtrippin'.

I've tried to watch it a couple of times now..I'm definitley putting it on the queue after your review..just have to be in the right mood I guess.

A Serious Man was a life changing movie for me....and still my favorite movie. Good movie to watch if ur stressed over small problems.
Nice slice..loved the soundtrack.

Your mood must be "old man." I've known a lotta old men in my day, and this was fucking CLASSIC.

For example, what I call "old man sweat," which is when an old man just stares at you, which makes some people sweat (I had an ex who could not STAND it when the old mechanics in his garage would just stare at him, totally unsettled him). Also, old man stubborn, and old man observations.

The movie is actually a comedy to my eyes, but then I'm fond of the black shit.

lmao..that's a riot!
It's not like I have a fervent pervasive "old man" mood. It's just simply the b&w..haven't seen a full 2 min.s yet. I can watch a wide array of film noir or obscurity. I can't wait to watch Bruce Dern's old man impression. ;)

This is on the chopping block tomorrow night.. Looks really good.

Well it wasn't too bad... Starts off pretty good but then it slows down 1/2 way thru :\ But over all a decent flick, I cant help but think tho if Ethan hawk had taken lead instead of rener this movie may have gone wide release instead of limited.. ?

Just seems like Rener got the role only to stay relevant long enough for another avengers film to come out..
