Nice .... Years ago I use to have NUNZI'S automotive in Brooklyn do my Ram Air IV heads over .... Still have em bagged up sitting in my shop. No longer have my 69 Judge though .... We used to slow down to 5 mph three cars side by side on the Belt Parkway in Brooklyn, the South Conduit by Kennedy Airport and street race .... Ah to be young again. No more tricked out car, motorcycles now I drive MY OLE LADIES NISSAN ....:jimlad:Well I sold my 93 Firebird project/race car today after being in the Garage for 8 years I just lost interest in it but I do have a back up plan. I took my 1969 Pontiac GTO motor and trans out of the 93 and now I am putting it into my 82 Firebird I got for a few hundred bucks, need paint and wheels but other than that the car clean and is ready to be built into a bad ass hot rod over the next few months.

I'll trade you the RAM AIR IV heads for holy grail of Pontiac heads ..... that is if you have a set of 1970 RAM AIR V'S. .......:D

The cylinder heads are 1969 2.11 /1.77 and should be 72 cc's in volume unless someone milled them.
Is the build date on the engine block B o78 or B 079, reason I am asking is you date them February 07, 1969
If its a 1968 Block then it's a 1968 motor the heads don't dictate the year of the motor.
It would definetly be a 1968 GTO motor based on what you have ..... Now we all know GM and that block could of been used in building a 1969 due to a defective block taken off the line and replaced with another.... but with out the full V.I.N. number of the vehicle it came out of .... Well it's a 68 unless of course if you have a copy of the old reg/title laying around showing the full V.I.N. then you would know based on the last six characters of that V.I.N. and if you have it don't loose it because you loose your proof.
Save your money and buy a Richmond 5 speed put a set of 3.08 gears in the rear and with that trans you come out of the hole like you have 4.56 gears but on the highway your in 5 th gear turning 2500 rpms and going 70 mph. Friend of mine had one in his 1976 fire chicken real sweet.Yeh no proof no vin:( bought this motor with my 66 Lemans, but regardless of the facts, I still love this beast she is running a 268 grind Comp cam matched to a 2800 10" Coan stall converter the trans is built with a shift kit and redline clutches, ran her about 3 months sold the Lemans kept the motor been with me since the early 90's she never stops smoking the tires...Peace Bro!
I had a 1966 Chevy II Nova w/383 stroker, 450 horse (dyno-tested), lunati cam & crank, heads were done up, the block was magnaflux, shotpeened, blueprinted, balanced, etc. had the ol' school cragar star-lites w/ Mickey t slicks. I loved that car but it also almost got me killed racing it. Not a bad car, very light. Memory lane ahh!
Gotta find someone close by who's old lady is getting ready to divorce him .... They usually sell their stuff cheap just to piss them off .....LOLOh yeh now your talking like those 421 Blocks are so easy to find now that a keeper engine in my book, I know where one at with the 64 GTO/lemans car that goes with it, a good friend of mines own it thats his baby!
A 5 speed sounds great but the money is limited these days,I have to work with what I have aint like the old days, Where I used have these parts just laying around my garage wish I would have kept most of them:arghh:
