Just mist the helmet when its real dry they stick some times here in co its dry as a mofo so I mist alot of stuck shells

you might find though if a seed breaks it still has what I call ectoplasm still stopping seedling emerging from broken shell scalpel or clean new stanly blade can be handy.

Yeah, I would try the mist. I tried de-helmeting one once and messed it up bad. Plant died.

never had one like that before but had some experience. first the misting seems like good idea. keep looking for week parts in shell cracks and see delicaly if theres any play. but it normaly is a little bit of protective cocoon sort of stuff that hasent broken. like the said wait but if you see the stem wilt to one side or other or look yellow try just putting a really sharp blade through the bit that was stopping it should be opaque this is what I call a salvage job, once you they can be from deficiante yellow to almost white. but have had winners stong ectoplasm can meen strong seed just cant get out strong shell. or could be shit fuck I'm high

ok, so what is the deal.. this jalapeno seedling is fucking with my head.. it goes to a positive phototropism, to more neutral ( i doubt there is a such thing, but it what makes scene ) position during the day.



it has done this 4 times today..

Is only last resort if you gonna lose it anyway. Have lost few but saved more. Although it's not common it's normally litte bit of ecto stopping opening widening which is when I just cut ambilical cord let it do rest. I have encountered it now and then over years

update:

i had to make room for the new kids. so i culled the two larger kush plants in the back.. such a shame they were healthy as fuck.. oh well.

the aliens are doing good. they were watered yesterday for the first time since sprouting.

dome head still rocking his helmet but i think its losing up some.. iv sprayed it again, and put bag back on after photos.

well just my luck, every single pepper seed is probably gonna sprout, hah.. will cull some of them by end of the day.

one minds goes to it happening because of heat but the tent door is open so its not hot in there.. 70s.

ill keep investigating, i want to know why the pepper is acting so fucking different to the herb seeds.

For the stuck on helmet I always get a corner of a paper towel and wet it then place on top of helmet/ shell for about 1 min , then the shell just slides right off of plant.
I know I'm late to this convo ,but maybe next time it will help.

the lemon aliens #1, and #2 are healthy and growing quick, to there counterpart Afghani plants hah.
#1 i think maybe something special.. its horse shoe tap root, was impressive and she has such uniform growth structure going on so far.

thanks @str8smokn it worked.. shell was so hard.
no clue if i did it in time to save it, but i put the plastic bag back on.. figure it still could use some humid. instead of my dry ass air. go desert! hah.
