Plants In Dark For 4 Days..

I'm looking for all info on this harvesting secret. Last harvest I had to leave my grow shut down for at least 4 days. I was just about to harvest but had unexpected guest. As soon as I got to them they were real heady, and very pretty, I just grabbed the stem and they snapped nicely. It seems as if this was some secret that I've never heard of. The pot blew people away. Please try this it won't be detrimental and let me know. Get high!

I give them 24-36 hours dark when I flip. and also 24 hours dark before I snip. So final night is light on for 12 then off for 24, then start the light prune and hang escapade

The technique you use is standard. Throw one of yer girls in the dark for a few more days, then compare, let me know....

I all ways leave mine in the dark. For a day min some stay longer depends how long it takes to trim

I don't know, but if you left me in the dark for 3 days, I'd be scared shitless... Probably scares the THC out of them. ;-)

No light means the plant can build up its brix levels without having to do any of the metabolic processes or energy conversions associated with photosynthesis. Same reason you should always take your clones at night- higher brix.

These are all reports of practices and conjecture.
Nothing to demonstrate any advantage in dark (except for We Solidarity offering the brix model).
I suspect it's just an idea that's easy for stoners to believe in.

Mine are ready for the "dark" - 20 % amber - thinking just 24 hr's -- what would you guy's do "maybe 48 might be better ??????? Help !

Supposedly the ice water "purples-up" the plants,
among other things;
never done it myself--

Cold temp do bring out colors - if ice do it for one week, use just cold water no ice

At least 10 years of growing here and there. I don't even use scissors to chop em, they are so ripe they snap and my drying process is fast. Not to fast. I'd say try it and let me know.
