Why am I not getting alerts or whatever? This is a thread I'm "watching," haven't seen any of those recent posts until I was like,"I wonder if there's been any action on @hiiipower 's thread...." just now.

Anyway, nice job. Sucks about the herms, but I guess if nothing got pollinated, it's not a big deal. Smoke report/dry weight/finished product report soon?

5x Larry Lotus and SSDD, 6x Tree of Life been above ground for about two weeks, gonna start a log soon.
Get that shit posted on happy b,s bodhi seeds thread bro.great selection of bodhi genetics.wats your favorite bodhi strain?

Man that happens to me all the time on here, doesn't alert me and I've missed days and days of post and it's like AHHHHHHHHH WTF!!! haha

Smoke report dry weights/pics coming coon.

As for TGA's stuff you nailed it actually. They have amazing flavors, probably as good as it gets in the weed world. Problem is with those really fruity candy flavors they're known for, the crop has to be grown perfectly from start to finish. If not, what comes out is literally the worst looking/tasting/burning crap ever that is occasionally potent.

I will say that JC2 is by far the strongest bud I've personally burned(only time I've ever had to throw out hundreds of gallons of water because I was too fucked up to remember what I had just put into the water tank while doing a reservoir change haha). Couldn't drive anywhere after smoking it, or it took 5x as long because you forgot what you were doing every 10 seconds.

Larry Lotus, SSDD, and Tree of Life?!?! DAMMMMMNNN. 2 wks? What are you trying to be sneaky or something? Start that log brotha! Been updating my Eclipse in this thread too so I'll keep it going.

Good call on the eggplant color, that's what I said at first too.

Haha, nah, not trying to be sneaky, I just wanted to wait until they had at least a few nodes. Which they do now. They seem to growing a lot quicker than the plants in my last round, maybe just because I have a sliiiiiiightly better idea of what I'm doing now haha. I'll probably take some pics tonight when I water.

Haha, it's cool, I do that all the time. Reply to the wrong person or think I'm replying to someone and it turns out it's someone other than who I thought it was. It'd probably help if I got an avatar. Maybe I'll pick one in the next few days....

And for the record, my favorite Bodhi strain right now is a tie between the Goldstar I just finished growing and Stevie Wonder, which I still have a few fat nugs from. I hadn't hit that one in a whiiiiile, but spent all day yesterday blazing it, made me remember why I like it so much.

I like the first hour or so of the Apollo 11, but the second hour.... I dunno, it makes me crash out really hard, which I was not expecting. Still real good, though.

And Goji, of course. Kinda feel like that goes without saying haha.

Anyway, back to @hiiipower 's thread haha. I'll start my own real soon and be sure to post pics on your B thread, too.

Here's Sugar Dog 2-3wks in, ended up with 9 good ones to search through, should be fun...
Below that is Eclipse about 1wk from being planted in uc.

Below: Agent Orange getting really purple as well. Don't know if she'll finish in time. This one I have might be a 70+ day finisher...
View attachment 585193

My buddy and I agree Agent Orange stinks over everything else in the room, and everything is really stinky.

Was contemplating running Querkle again cause she is a small yielder, but she smells even better than she looks above. Very very dense grape smell with bubblegum background and the tiniest bit of musky in there, which was my original goal when selecting a querkle female. Grape without the musk that querkle usually has. Will be keeping this one in rotation.

Enjoy the weekend everyone!

Man, just took a closer look at that Eclipse, definitely looks like it's got the zig-zag going on. Sweet!

Hey everyone, long time no see. Hate to take long breaks like that from the Farm but I've been working my butt off. I switched from a garden with 1000w lamps w/ reflective hoods to 600w vertical.

New veg room:
2 10 site + controller bucket under current systems
8g buckets, 3" pvc
80g water each system, Eco-plus chillers
Ec: 0.1-0.25
Water Temp: 68F Day Temp: 78F

New bloom room:
12 600w vertical hps bulbs(bulbs are lightspeed, had to go cheap to start. Ballasts are in pics)
8 site + controller bucket under current system, 3" pvc
27g buckets, 17g water/bucket, 153g water total system, Chilled water
Water Temp: 68F Day Temp: 75F

Here's how I built them, apologies if it's too many photos, but I wanted to be thorough...

And here are the plants, almost ready to bloom. Also pics of new rooms.
Here's the sugar dog. 8 of them vegging. 1 looks weak, others are very healthy. Mostly normal growth, with exception of 2 short stout plants that are half as tall as the others. Starting to show sex. Saw 2 males and 2 females this morning, will see what else happens shortly.

Eclipse below, Apollo 13 pheno on left, taller and topped. Apollo 11 Genius pheno on right, very short untopped

Also I switched nutes from cc to botanicare and hydroponic research products, trying to incorporate organics into this run, maybe even some teas. Trying to increase flavor.

Alright, things are coming along, I don't post much during veg, obviously more boring than bloom. Room looks great, will post the specs and pics of it next post, just wanna update on the plants right now.

Sugar Dog(Sugar x Chemdog 91)
3/8 females. Started 11 seeds. 2 runts and 1 semi-runt culled at beginning of veg.
Females:
Plants were all over in terms of veg growth. Very vigorous
Sugar Dog #10 was female and went into the bloom room a week ago because she was growing 2x as fast as some phenos. Very leggy, this might be the Sugar pheno, breeder told me it grows like wildfire, and I know chem is known to be slow vegging and smaller.
Sugar Dog #4 & #9 are female also, least vigorous of all the phenos, still good growers. Will be flipping these in 3 days, making them 10 days behind #10.

I'm hoping they will mature at the same time. I'm expecting they will. I've never staggered plants before like this but I've run lots of seed packs and every single time I've put all the females into bloom it's because the fastest pheno was getting big and I didn't want it to over grow. Well this always has caused at least 1 or 2 phenos that were the slow growers to not perform or yield as well just because they simply needed an extra week of veg time. Then you whine that it's poor yielder when all it really needed was more veg time. On top of that, the slower grower/smaller yielders seem to always mature faster than the pheno that was vegging like a maniac. So hopefully it pans out like this and they all get to grow equally and mature at the same time. That means I will harvest everything on the same date, but nearly each plant will have been in the bloom room for a slightly different amount of days(70, 65, 60, 56, and 50 days to be exact).

Eclipse(Apollo 13 x Apollo 11)
3/8 females. Started 10 seeds. 2 runts culled.
Eclipse #2: Taller very bushy pheno, topped once and put into bloom 2 days ago.
Eclipse # 3: Middle of the road pheno, Not the shortest or tallest, topped once, will bloom in 3 days.
Eclipse #5: Very short, very slow growing and bushy. Not topping this plant because I don't think it will double in size even being untopped. Super slow grower will bloom in 2 weeks, expecting this one to be a very short maturing plant so only going to allow it 50 days to mature.

Can some experienced Chem growers help me out here... Here's 2 different male phenos of Sugar Dog. Does one of these look more Chem than the other. Might be passing these back to the breeder, jw and I'm very unfamiliar with Chem hybrids. I notice in the second pic the leaves of that plant curled up on the outside, looking like heat stress. But these plants haven't seen higher temps than 78F and none of the others did this so I doubt it's heat stress. Is that the leaf crinkle everyone talks about on Chem plants?

Gettin' crazy with it! Here's some homemade "super soil." Letting this sit and cook for 2 months, then going to take a nylon, fill it with the a cup or two of compost, and let it sit in the controller bucket of my bloom tank for about 3 days before each reservoir change. I think with the amount of air I'm running in dwc(1.3lpm/g of water) I can pull it off without having gunk or rot issues. Last run I was very disappointed with the current culture line in the flavor dept. It's a great line if your into production, you will not run into problems with root rot probably. But if your a connoisseur the flavor is really not acceptable imo. Trying to get more depth to my flavors like organically grown bud has, let's see if this helps. Btw I am running a beneficial fungi/bacteria line called +life. The company only selects strains of fungi/bacteria that are highly resistant to fertilizers to put in +life. Don't think this will be a problem as the highest Ec my plants ever see is 0.8, but still pretty cool.

Check out the spores growing in the pic of my super soil. The mix is Clackamas Cootz' mix that is listed on buildasoil mixed into a 1:1:1 ratio of coco coir, perlite, and pure worm castings. I cut it in half, don't need very high nutrient amounts in my super aerated dwc. I'm hoping this will feed the fungi/bacteria that I'm adding and will give me more organic flavors. Still using botanicare pure blend pro bloom as my main nute line, just supplementing for flavor. And yes the lid is on the bucket to let it cook, just took it off to snap a quick pic. Smells good, like a forest after a hard rain.

Thanks Gong, been trying pretty hard. Never grown vertically like this, nervous that the plants won't all stretch to the size I'm hoping for. Last piece of the puzzle is just some 3' tall square cages for support of each plant.

Steep price, but would be nice to have the peace of mind these would give me. No way would anything ever break or leak. Gotta say if this was the only system I was gonna build I would likely spend the extra couple hundred for them. But this is the smallest of more systems to come in the future, I'll have to look for a cheaper price to consider it for those.

I would guess I payed around $3-$5 per uniseal all said and done including price of glue. Rough guesstimate...

Thanks Str8, good to know other options

They have some cheaper but it depends on size.
I know they are high ,but as you said peace of mind.
My thoughts were the glue might not hold long ,after months of pressure.
Or you could just try 3" make adapters on the outside and female adapters on inside. Just thread them together with silicone.
I'm just brain storming... Sorry.

Man, you know I don't know shit about DWC/hydro or aeroponics, but if you're looking to cultivate fungi/bacteria, maybe you should check out OG Biowar. I know, I know, I've suggested this before and honestly, I don't know how the fuck it works (kind of I do, but not really haha). All I know is: it works. And it works for any grow method (as far as I've read).

Things're looking great, though. I couldn't really see the crinkle in those Chem hybrids you got going, but they look pretty healthy nonetheless. If they're males and you ain't looking to breed, toss them (obviously). But they look pretty healthy to me. Maybe you wanna keep them around? Just for shits and giggles, if nothing else.

In the middle of up-potting right now. Hate it hahaha!!!! Started like three hours ago. I always think,"Yeah, this'll only take an hour or two....." Five hours later, I'm like,"Next run, I'm planting straight into big-ass pots...." haha!!! Still got like three hours to go, sooooo tired blahblahblah. Can't complain, but I will admit that I'm hoping to find a few more males to trash. I don't wanna transplant anymore haha. I just wanna go to bed.... Between filling pots, mixing in a little kelp globally, cutting up mulch, top-dressing with EWC and neem meal..... Jesus.... This shit takes forever hahaha!!!!

Not to mention, of course, all three packs of OG Biowar right underneath the rootball. Swear I don't work for them haha. Mostly writing this to remind me to do it, cuz every second or third plant I keep forgetting and have to top dress with it instead.

Five more plants to go..... Then Sleep.... Blessed sleep... Haha.

You been up all night doin that? Damn guess you had a lot of females to t plant haha not that that's a bad thing! Hands down best part of hydro is no t planting like that, just life the lid and put onto new bucket that has a whole on top.

Should've done og biowar to at least cook the compost, that's a great idea bro. Will have to remember it for next time. Will even try to put right into reservoir if I can. I bet Caps bennies year it up(and I mean that in a good way)
