Male Or Female?

I have re read this post. The problem starts with a low germ rate, before ever hitting the soil. I think this is a simple learning curve, iron out the final little details like the humidity dome, gently moistening soil after sprinkling fine soil on top of barely buried seed, etc.
If the soil was too hot, the seedling would germinate, get an inch or so long and then just quit growing as their young roots grow just long enough to get burned and you will wonder why your seedling quit growing and just sits there. But I'm thinking, they have to sprout in order for the roots to get burned, so you probably don't have that problem.

Are you just throwing them out in the sun asap????? Killing em hotly.

I think it might be because the soil gets too hot from the lights. I'm not 100% sure tho

I let them germinate until they have a nice looking tail, then I put them in the soil. Sometimes I will put them on my window sill, other times I'll put it straight into the lights of my grow room.

Definite possibility. Yes, under hot lights might do it. How close, what lights, can you leave your hand on top off the leaf canopy for length without feeling too hot, etc. hot light dry soil, you don't have a dome, I think that's it!

What's soil that will work tho? I'm tired of wasting my money on stuff that just ends up killing my plants.
Simple get up early morning hold your pp go out in field pick up one cow pie preferably old one , Use your finger poke 12 holes 1/2 " deep drop seeds into cow pie place straw or grass clippings on top , pee on pie come back couple weeks later and your golden ;)

I actually did find a store that sells fox farm. They have the ocean one and happy frog. Which one is better? I think the reason for the small growth in my plants is my soil.

I'm confused. Other than the probable male plant and the two seeds you were germinating I was unaware you had any additional plants growing, much less having issues with them.
But to answer your question, I have never used either product. I grow in an orchard and build my own dirt up. I've also never seen or used ecoscraps but I lead a pretty sheltered life, lol.

Only one plant is growing right now, but my first grow only got to 4 inches after 7 weeks old. Later today around 3 or so eastern time I am going to plant them and get the fox farm tomorrow and switch out soils when it's time to transplant the two little ones.

Fox farm can be a hit or miss for how "hot" their mix is. Lucky dog is their mildest, and pre inoculated with fungi and bacterial strains.

I've heard that seedlings will die because the soil is way too hot for them. So I was going to plant them in ecoscraps then change the soil when I transplant them. Fox farm claims to be ph balanced so it shouldn't be too hot for when they get a little older.

I've never seen any problems with fox farm products. The staple for soil. Ocean forest will take you from beginning to end. It's really up to the consumer....

Ocean forest has a lot of nutes in it. Will I need to add any extra or could I just go without it? I don't want to spend so much on it because I have bag seed and not many seeds left either. Maybe 2 that will be female.

Just the bag o soil. Just be patient and the plant will let you know by what it looks like. It'll grow with no nute. The stuff in fox farm is used down the line when you soil becomes alive. Water little. Keep trying.

Awesome. Will transplanting into different soil hurt plants?

No. Unless the plant isn't strong.... and even transplanting can kill a plant. Careful so no shock, which will slow them down. Slowing down plant will make you think it needs water. Nope.

Transplanting is hard for me so no matter what I think it's gonna have some shock.

Can you get things set up before transplant?? Sometimes cutting your container down the sides than just lift your soil packed with roots into new bucket is best. Fill in. Give little water. 24 hours later you should be able to give it a great watering. Low on nutes. A rooting hormone helps.

Yeah I can do that. Sadly this plant is male so time to throw it. I just planted my blue dream, my other seed didn't sprout yet. I put the plant in my grow room, but far away from the light so it won't burn it up.
