Could freeze the buds, then break up with fingers.
Great job @str8smokn good color!!! Glad i could help. If you scrape it all into parchment paper and work it into a patty then freeze it makes it easier to handle for some. Here's my first run ever doing this.
Turned out better then I thought it would.

Thanks for this thread @GT21 ,I'm about to wash 2 more jars in a bit. Now that my pan is done from the first run.

Sometimes itll be stable at room temp but i do this with all of it and store it in the freezer anyway... ill work it into a nice thin patty then freeze it then hit the paper with the spoon or lighter and itll shatter into a bunch of smokable slabs.Sweet ,that's what I was needing. The finale step.
I will do it this afternoon, after it dries out alittle bit more.
I was trying to figure out how you all kept the slab look?

It helps if you put it on a warm surface too. Here's what I got so far from smashing it.

I would flatten the dark spot out a bit more. But the sides look goodOk, so I turned my stove on LOW and placed on it and worked with a spoon to flatten it out. Here's what I got now.
