And your thoughts are exactly right... Complete overkill! But growing weed to smoke is my goal. Water chemistry and gpw are my hobby. And all hobbies costs. I dont even want to comment on how much ive spent on fishing, hunting, and off roading.... and we wont even count the drinking and chasing women with Hank, Waylon, and Willi in my younger days... we spend it on something, and at least this gives back :)

Thanks bro. I pieced my setup together over the course of a year, still adding and planning on expanding. Tbh our grows are almost the exact same age. Yours are looking good btw

I have one. It is of the same brand as his. Just not sure if it's the same model. It works wonderfully. I set it up when I set the tent up and I never fussed with it since. Takes all the hassle out of fiddling with your fan speed controller everyday.

You pick your day/night fan idle speed+type. Set your max temp.

Then run your temp probe to canopy height.

Now the sensor has feedback via temp sensor & the photocell. It can now control the climate.

It works great. Fan speed increases when furnace kicks on. While decreasing when temps drop.

The low temp setting shuts the fan off if temperature of environment is °10 below max temp setpoint.

I would imagine that the setting just makes the fan on night setting go as low as it can. And it's just pulling the same cold air in from the room. Now he could probably use that with an intake fan but then he would have to run his exhaust fan full blast or get another controller. I think I remember now. It's a titan controller

Sorry fellas, not sure why I didn't get alerts that you replied but yea, titan controls spartan series. Does exactly what @rmoltis controller does. My problem is mostly that the fan I have is 750 cfm 8" in a 4x4. Also I'm in the basement and don't have a duct in that room yet. Combine that with the fact that I'm using the fan to cool the fixture and vent the tent so it pulls heat out of the tent. I think once I hook up the filter it will slow the fan down some more and raise temps a touch. Air is drawn in through a passive intake with a filter on it.

I got 3 clones to root so far, kinda a small victory for me after the start I had. 2 Spliffs Strawberry and 1 cannalope haze. Got them into solo cups tonight and you can see the 2 DJ's Gold (DNA) peeking out in the background. It looks like I should have some Starfighter x Longbottom leaf above ground tomorrow too. Those will be the first reg beans I've ran so it should be fun to learn regs too. 3 weeks until I flip so I need to get off my ass and build my 5'x10'x8' grow box so I can veg in my tent and flower in the box

Partially true. Then again I know ppl that run a bozooka when drywall in that couldn't do it old school to save their life. I run a five axis mill in the machine shop that uses trigonometry to figure out set points and angles... I don't know their first thing about trig. But I know how to run this machine good enough to spit out parts for Cat..... so sometimes knowing your equipment can get u a long way....

Yes they do! The only reason I use the spa is, I'm lazy and I don't want to water them every day and no bugs!

Yea I'd say those are rooted lol. You called it on that grow box haha, hoping to take advantage of having the day off tomorrow. Its gotten happen soon as I need a separate veg and flower area before I flip in a few weeks. I have a new round of seeds sprouted and ready for round 2. I'll keep clones of my first run also in case there's some fire in there. Your ladies are looking good bro. Gotta find your log again, not sure why but I stopped getting notifications for it

I think I am going to try one of these on my next grow. Beauty roots on those plants. I went to a hempy bucket this time around because i drowned every seed i have put in DWC. I kill them with overwatering love :)

See GH I'm really not a green thumb. But I am an engineer and I can follow directions pretty well. So over watering and under watering and all that is not in my wheel house. But duplicating things I see is. So I took all that knowledge and decided that water chemistry is much more enjoyable that DIRT! LOL

So if your talking about building a root spa for getting your seedling/clones ready for RDWC/DWC, then I know what I had to change. So if you want I will expkain. Just got to make sure that's what you meant.

If you have never tried coco its the step between dirt and hydro. You water it like hydro and it grows like hydro but without the hassle of learning everything about hydro.
