Also I was reading up on trichome production and came across an article on a web site called "Leafly" and it stated this


"An easy way to tell if heat if affecting your crop is to give them a good sniff. Disturbed trichome heads and those exposed to heat will give off pungent aromas. That delicious smell is nothing more than the degradation of trichomes as a result of heat and/or agitation of some kind."


So can anyone put any merit to this? . If this is true then my common sense would tell me that I never want to smell my weed when it's growing only when I'm smoking it? Idk what do you all think?

Yea I'll have to keep an eye on it....yea I fell you on it needing to be pretty hot..but for example my tent has never gone above 84 rarely over 80 and I smell my plant all the time...like I said I don't know if the claim holds any truth tho

Leafly info is sketchy at best bro. Hell yea you want to smell them when they are growing. Its true to a point, but its like saying you're breathing in shit when you smell a fart. True but negligable. A few of mine had little wizard hats like that near the end too, I'm thinking its just a form of stress? It wasn't above 75 in my room.

My beast last round averaged tent temps of 87° and under %1rh.

It yielded %30 return on an oil extraction. And is the high is very heavy & intense.

Not only that but in Australia with the highest uv index in the world and scorching heat. They have %40+ thc content herb.

Thanks broham for the input...lol yea I feel you on it probably not being to major...yea from what I'm reading it's either from some kind of stress or genetics..but shit everything that happens to our beautiful lady boils down to those two things most times lol

Very valid point chief..but @rmoltis going by this theory I'm wondering if your content % would go up if you had a run where you didn't get any aroma from your plants at all during growth?...it has me really wanting a totally controlled environment to find out if any difference it's made

So I was thinking I'm gonna flip my plants in veg to see who's who then reveg and plant out side if some lady's show....o was thinking of just going with ffof soil and digging holes in the ground for whatever pots I use...so what would be a good size pot to use?

And a few plants off in a cut isnt gonna garner much attention... its the shroom hunters you got to hide from, but they also give you a reason to be in the woods,,, grab you a lil sack and find you a shroom or 2 and carry it with you when you are out looking at the plants:)

yes i do have a lil advice for you... I wouldnt flip the plants then reveg and put outside... Its tricky..
I would clone the tops of all your plants, and we will put them straight on 12/12 and they will show us the sex of the plants you took them from... u need to number them so you dont forget...
As for putting the plants out side, you will have to drop the light cycle from what ever you have 18/6? to what the light schedule is when you plan to put them out... for me i put my seedlings under 14 on, 4 off, 2 on, 4 off,,,,, per 24 hr period i have about 14 hrs of daylight outside right now, which is what the 14 on simulates... the extra 2 hrs at night is just to make sure they stay in veg till i put them out side, which I did last weekend... its raining to day so i will go check them tomm... it got pretty cold last night so i hope they are good!

most likely the clones wont root, because we are forcing thier energy to show sex... but its possible! And you prob grow a nice little nugget if it does which would tell you what its pheno properties are!
