Good idea setting back up the automation. Way too much work watering that many by hand. Good Idea on the solo cup calibration technique too. One more in my mental bank of good ideas. lol Plants are looking great.
Thanks bro... I wont lie, im not that high on the drip system... But i will use it. I have to go out of town for a few days and I got to have some automation during that time plus they are gonna be needing multiple feeding very soon, Actually i already been giving 2 feedings...Good idea setting back up the automation. Nice, its good to get away from time to time. I got a whole week at the end of this month. Gonna be spending some time at the river for sure. I hope my automation (my friend down the street lol) is up to the task. Would suck to come home to everything dead. I'm probably going to buy a lot of buckets and drill little holes in the bottom for each plant to make watering easier for him. Thanks bro... I wont lie, im not that high on the drip system... Very sexy group there. So sweet 16 today...and her 13 day old siblings... They are looking better!
So i am watering them when lights come on, and 9 hrs into the light cycle for a second watering...
The drip emitters I have are a "bubbler" and they thread down to different levels allowing different rate of flow. Mine actually run the same and it wasn't much work for me. I got lucky. But if need be I could adjust each dripper to let more or less in.Thanks bro... I wont lie, im not that high on the drip system... But i will use it. They were like 6$ a ten pack at Home Depot.
hell no... I wouldnt waste my time!Is it possible to switch some over? Maybe do half and half coco vs rdwc? Would be a cool little grow off.
relax brotherWell got it hooked up, and it gave 350% run off... :(
Unfreaking believable... how did it just change?
That or the whole solo cup of fluid just raced right thru the coco ....
Look this is stupid. I dont even want to be in my grow room...
All the things i envisioned would suck about this, SUCKS about this...
This shit is meant for a lil 6 pot set up, or on an industrial size set up with dosers and shit..
That is why they do this commercially, because as they auto top off, they dose it with nutes and ph it so its handsfree pretty much the whole grow.. I get it! But im not spending $$$ like that...
I would of much rather took a kids swimming pool, hooked an epicenter to it, laid a piece of Styrofoam board over it, and put 16 netpots in it!
And i promise you i would of knocked out the park!
with no problems, ...
Here is the thing, with my rdwc unit, except for changeout, i dont have to spend 10 mins a day with them, this shit unbelievable, not to mention the humidity spike that comes with watering coco..
this is not meant for tents either, esp this short piece of shit...
I could of just bought a 4x4 flood table and been done with this shit..
This was an epic fuck up on my part! Trying to save money this time costed me..
I prob wasted a 150....
Just admitting i dont always come out on top!
O btw,, the plants are fine, im just not happy with my control of the automation. or how its setup of anything.. I got 71 inches to work with and that just makes most drain systems impossible for me to work with...
Im not knocking coco, im just knocking my setup...
While sucking up the run off, u know the 350%relax brother
take a breath
control the flow with the ball valve
have it come on for 1 min at lights on
and one min 8 hours later since you are in veg
I know you are frustrated
let me help man
this style is what I do....and have been doing
I have had larger gardens with same setup
how many feet of head room do you havebut that isnt my problem,,, the coco
my problem is i dont care for drip systems! Nor the drain part of it, because i dont have head room for a table... its just not a good setup for me.. plain and simple..
what size pump are tou using? While sucking up the run off, u know the 350%
I sucked a couple big fan leaves off too...
its retarded and I cant wait till this over!
I did turn down the ball valve. turned up, turned it down,
hell i even did the hokey pokey and spun it all the way around :(
Well im at 500 ppm co2what size pump are tou using?
either you dont have the stakes in right
the coco is to dry
or the coco is completely saturated
either way let my temp stay around 82
drop the CO2 to 700ppm
and drop humidity to 60%
I have a 550gph pump and it take 53sec exactly to see runoff from the plants
in the same pots as you
if your stakes arent closer to the stem and rootball it is probably just draining down the sides
one of the problems is you got to put that table backHere is the pics of the pcs of shit.....
hahhaah you are reminding me of my brother in lawWell im at 500 ppm co2
im at 60%rh
I have a danner mag 500 gph pump
And im tired of playing the are you wet enough game..
I JUST CANT WAIT TILL THIS IS OVER!
the table wouldnt hold all the plants, that is why 5 fell off. The light was only 24 inches above them, and that is as high as it goes. By now they would be 18 inches away from the bulb, and 2 weeks from now they would be burnt to a crisp.. I understand this would be simple if i could just put a table in.. but that doesnt work.. See when m,a and you ran the table when i first started we were upstairs in my bedroom with an 8 foot tent. now we are in a 6 foot tent and its not happening..one of the problems is you got to put that table back
and that bin at the end
dude you should only have like 2 more weeks till flip
there is no reason to waste any more electricity than needed on a pheno hunt
dont let the plants sit in the runoff for any amount of time
you are making way more work than needed
brother
if I was there I would toss you out and re-set it up for full automation
the only thing you would need to do is
say hellow every morning
oh and refill the res and drain the waste..........once a week
that was the look i was trying for ! :)hahhaah you are reminding me of my brother in law
he is from NY
think of a thick Irish Brooklyn Accent
saying
"This is fuckin Garbage.....im rippin this shit out and throw everything in the trash"
I love him to death but when he gets worked up
it is hard for him to keep his vision straight and step back for a minute
