Thanks bro... I wont lie, im not that high on the drip system... But i will use it. I have to go out of town for a few days and I got to have some automation during that time plus they are gonna be needing multiple feeding very soon, Actually i already been giving 2 feedings...

Nice, its good to get away from time to time. I got a whole week at the end of this month. Gonna be spending some time at the river for sure. I hope my automation (my friend down the street lol) is up to the task. Would suck to come home to everything dead. I'm probably going to buy a lot of buckets and drill little holes in the bottom for each plant to make watering easier for him.

So i am watering them when lights come on, and 9 hrs into the light cycle for a second watering...

The drip emitters I have are a "bubbler" and they thread down to different levels allowing different rate of flow. Mine actually run the same and it wasn't much work for me. I got lucky. But if need be I could adjust each dripper to let more or less in.
They were like 6$ a ten pack at Home Depot.

That or the whole solo cup of fluid just raced right thru the coco ....

All the things i envisioned would suck about this, SUCKS about this...
This shit is meant for a lil 6 pot set up, or on an industrial size set up with dosers and shit..
That is why they do this commercially, because as they auto top off, they dose it with nutes and ph it so its handsfree pretty much the whole grow.. I get it! But im not spending $$$ like that...

I would of much rather took a kids swimming pool, hooked an epicenter to it, laid a piece of Styrofoam board over it, and put 16 netpots in it!
And i promise you i would of knocked out the park!
with no problems, ...
Here is the thing, with my rdwc unit, except for changeout, i dont have to spend 10 mins a day with them, this shit unbelievable, not to mention the humidity spike that comes with watering coco..
this is not meant for tents either, esp this short piece of shit...

I could of just bought a 4x4 flood table and been done with this shit..
This was an epic fuck up on my part! Trying to save money this time costed me..
I prob wasted a 150....
Just admitting i dont always come out on top!

O btw,, the plants are fine, im just not happy with my control of the automation. or how its setup of anything.. I got 71 inches to work with and that just makes most drain systems impossible for me to work with...
Im not knocking coco, im just knocking my setup...

hell no... I wouldnt waste my time!
The only reason i even did this was because i was pheno hunting and looking for a good male, and i didnt want to run 18 plants in a rdwc when half would turn male and be huge waste of electric/bulbs but at this point im over what it would of costed! Serious miscalculation on my part!

As for doing a side by side, I did my very first grow, coco in a flood table and a dwc bucket... Dwc creamed it and that was after stunting the seed for 2 weeks in rockwool, AND IT WAS AN AUTO!

how many feet of head room do you have
with that table you made how much then

to me you have planty
keep your plants short and flower earlier than you would have
less colas....but remember this is a pheno hunt with end product

just shorten everything up
once you dial in a drip system
it makes F&D look like a joke

no ph checking
no adding back
none of the bs
fill the res and go
get a 35gal trash can or if you have a lerge res use that
mix the nutes and pump it into the feed res
when the main res is dry fill it back up

this is literally the most simple and productive hydro system you can do

as long as you can get you feed right it is literally smooth sailing

either you dont have the stakes in right
the coco is to dry
or the coco is completely saturated

either way let my temp stay around 82
drop the CO2 to 700ppm
and drop humidity to 60%

I have a 550gph pump and it take 53sec exactly to see runoff from the plants
in the same pots as you

if your stakes arent closer to the stem and rootball it is probably just draining down the sides

the table wouldnt hold all the plants, that is why 5 fell off. The light was only 24 inches above them, and that is as high as it goes. By now they would be 18 inches away from the bulb, and 2 weeks from now they would be burnt to a crisp.. I understand this would be simple if i could just put a table in.. but that doesnt work.. See when m,a and you ran the table when i first started we were upstairs in my bedroom with an 8 foot tent. now we are in a 6 foot tent and its not happening..

shit that is pretty small

but you can always remove your lights and throw in the t-5 for you pheno
use even less electricity


do you know how much fluid you need to give your plants if you were hand watering

at your stage I give them about 8oz a day
when when they dry 8oz every 4 hours

this is what I suggest

1.shut the ball valve all the way
2. Get a measure cup
3. pull a stake and put it in the cup
4. turn on the pump
4. crack the valve ever so slightly so as the feed is just a slow stream
5. time it

how ever long it takes with the valve just cracked
is what you set your timer for

table probably only needs another 2x4 for support

but in any case that should fix you water problems

it is just that if there is no "waste"
and you have to come in every time and soak waste up
