The mature flowering plants seem to do ok, the seedlings didn’t like the led I don’t think. Cut a couple clones every week or so.... idk. They will get root bound most likely and start eating their leaves at the end.

Ive read mimed over and over say large perlite. I bought smaller stuff cause it was a third the price. I’m going to use my bonsai technique and screen out the small stuff to mix with coco and start using that instead of ocean forest for seedlings and cutting transplants. Then the large stuff left i am mixing 50/50 ffof with a little vermiculite.
2 reasons. Need them to dry faster, I want more frequent watering, currently 3-4 days on the fabric pots and 3-5 days on the pure happy frog the candy apple and wedding cake are in. side note on the pure happy frog. I sifted all the large chunks in the happy frog and put them on the bottom of the pots. So its super loose on the bottom but fine and compact on top.
And hopefully it will be harder to over fertilize i think. Hoping to train myself on nutrients between the cloner and reducing available nutes in the soil. Hopefully it doesn’t make them dry out to fast.....
Not buying the large was a mistake, they take to long to dry just like he said. Just trying to make do, I have so much grow shit now I’ve tried and tested or not used yet, a big brick of coco, all kinds of nutes, lights, air pumps, water pumps, lol I gotta use some of this shit somehow. My money doesn’t grow on trees lol

Does it look like this romie is auto flowering?

I’ve thought about putting it in flower but not with bugs in there, if I take clones off it wonder if they will auto flower. So far the melon is nice, Looks a little heavy on nutes but it’s putting off some nice growth I’m going to cut for clones someday. Can’t wait to try it.
Yep looks like preflowering. Not sure if its auto

Probably means I need to watch for balls to, I found one ball on the lemonade plant I had. Now I know what to look for, my first male sign in person, naner naner

Seedling area will turn on soon.
I’ll take some pics of the new romie, a sad fighting clone, a slow germination and 2 seedlings that are tired of getting moved around. I noticed with the seedlings, if I move them around they stop growing, sheesh man hands off!!! I move them around and they wobble around, I spray them with water like they are clones and will try to root faster and they wobble around lol, idk to much I think.
That’s why I want to clone. I want to prune the mothers into bonsai plants I harvest clones off of. That and keeping the clones alive and transplanting will be enough I think. Also in spring I will have less time to screw with this.

I find temps and humidity are the key to fast rooting clones. Also soil very tight against the stem. Ait temps 80F and clones 100% humidity, seedling same temp and humidity around 80%. Soil temps around 70-74F

Yah i think soil temps HAVE to be in the mid 70s for any decent rooting speeds?

Struggle with cloning so much during last winter, and this winter.
Thinking thats the reason.

Got a couple seeds from my friends outdoor, he thinks it was orange kush, unknown cross, gonna check it out.
Also here’s the new romie, lst going to try to get a couple clones from it then flower.

I chipped off a few chunks of coco and tossed them in a 2 or 3 gallon smart pot. I put that in a 5 gallon bucket and filled it with warm water close to the top of the smart pot. I let it sit for a while. Then I stirred it and broke up some chunks, and let it sit more. After about half an hour total I pulled the smart pot out and let the water drain for a while, then did the whole process over again with fresh cold water. They have handles on them so I hung them in my utility sink off the handles. Going to let it dry for a while then see what I’m working with, so far I like it. See how the next seedlings like it

You are growing in soil, and are testing out some coco?

Dont make my mistake of giving it soil nutes with a higher % of ammonia nitrogen.
Otherwise. If you can manage the daily feeding aspect. Coco is da bomb.

If its a cheaper block of coco (no problems) but you MUST buffer it with calmag.

Was thinking about using it for seeds and clones, I have a bunch of finer perlite and had the coco sitting there. Idl lol just experimenting. I can’t remember the brand I’ll take a pic.

It's important though. Or your plant will never get enough cal, mag. Just part of the coco game. Gotta buffer or wonky issues can happen.

Also the calcium in my water, is it the right type to help? 150ppm calcium mostly think I read vermiculite adds mag but I can’t keep track of everything sometimes lol!

If you don't want to deal with the hydro game. Coco coir blended with soil. Like 25% coco, 25% perlite, 50% soil. Now that's one kick ass high airation mix imo.
