Hahaha! Story of my life!Pulling up a chair.....better late then never right?
your in same area as bass captian,he had a hell of a bought with hie water, might ask him what he done, think a ro sytem, not sure, why do you have 2 cups ?if it to catch water ,dont do it,let it drain lack of drainage can raise your ph also, but the reading you had other day i thought you had flushed all the cups out to get what you put in or close in your runoffI forgot to post pictures yesterday. If any of y'all could help me figure out this water situation, that would be great. I thought I posted about the issues I was having, but I see I didn't. Yay brain! I've had a rough couple of days, but I'm good today. This is my problem:
Yesterday, my pH was at freakin' 7.93. It's been in a bucket, it shouldn't be that high, and my ppm was at something stupid, too. I want to say 800+, but I will have to get better at writing stuff down. I don't want to burn my plants up. Can y'all tell me what it is I need to do to get the water right? I boil it, cool it, let it sit in a bucket, which should be fine (it's what I used to do for aquarium water). Please talk to me like I'm a toddler, because my brain is sometimes. Especially when it comes to calculations, then add in this disease process and I'm lucky to add 1 + 1.
My one lonely Blue Gelato is giving me concern. Humidity in my tent and room seems alright, but I'm new to this, so maybe not? Temp is at 72 F, humidity at 42%. I appreciate y'all!
So, basically, water everybody, let it drain out, test it, put 20% into bucket water, flush again, right? Until it reaches those levels?also you need to water to about 20% runoff out those cups or pots, washing salts out for ya ,thats what you will be doing when you flush, but flush your cups with ph water to you get the same ph and ppm going in coming out or close, then once acheived you will finish with a ph and ppm feed, coco has to be feed every time, those babies should be 200 ppm right now and 6.9 to 6.2 ph what i would run
no water the cup to you have about 20% runoff of what you put in,so if you feed a cup, when 1/3rd comes back out the cup thats your runoff precentage, or water it to you have 15 to 20% of what you think you just put in cup, test the runoff if it no close to what you put in ,flush it some more, you want the ppm and ph close to what you put in ,when you have a good flush when you feed it the last time your gonna put the feed ph and ppm feed in last and then you washed all salts out ,that finish batch should be close to what you put inSo, basically, water everybody, let it drain out, test it, put 20% into bucket water, flush again, right? Until it reaches those levels?
i be back in a while to help you out ,dont give up,grand baby comes first, little shitSo, basically, water everybody, let it drain out, test it, put 20% into bucket water, flush again, right? Until it reaches those levels?
Hi Jecedjrrr!Hi Kim,
what are your low temps? How cold does it get with lights off?
What Nutrients are you using?
What coco brand are you using?
Test the ppm of you tap water. Most people just leave their tap water out for 24 hours.
I am still amazed that these plants seem like they talk to us. Well, I know they do, but I think you understand what I'm trying to say. I hope my girls can look as great as yours!!! How beautiful, I feel like that should be framed.View attachment 932664View attachment 932665
Peyote Critical
These pics were taken last week. Day 21 flower. She smells great an starts getting frosty almost immediately. I think she looks s bit yellow up top. It may be light burn due to the fact that I’m using LED’s for the first time. I raised them just in case. Then again she’s a colorful strain an I’ve never grown her before. Not sure what to expect. She has not been fussy. Seems like a great strain. Easy grow.
hell ya they do look a lot better, and i see them holes in the cups now,let them drain ,but see if you can get a fan on l;ow and bouncing off a wall now, lets get them stems siffened up,what was your ending ph and ppm?I am still amazed that these plants seem like they talk to us. I have all of the above, minus the Rhizotonic. I just flushed everyone out and they already seem like they are a bit happier. I know mine look okay on screen, but when I as in there with them, some of them looked slightly unhappy, hence the panic about the water. A friend of mine told me to go get a couple of Brita water filters and put them in my bucket, so I'm ordering that now. Not sure if you saw what I was growing? I've got 4 x Super Silver Sour Diesel, 3 x Peyote Critical, and 1 lonely Blue Gelato, who seems the unhappiest. She's all droopy. See updated pictures below:
Out of the tap pH is 8.03.What's your water readings when it comes out of the tap?
Fan is on low. I just remembered I was supposed to order another fan. The one I got in there isn't the one I ordered, or I did and just made a mistake, hahaha! I knew there was something.hell ya they do look a lot better, and i see them holes in the cups now,let them drain ,but see if you can get a fan on l;ow and bouncing off a wall now, lets get them stems siffened up,what was your ending ph and ppm?
120 ppm from tap aint bad ,you could use half tap water and half ro water to save a little money, that get the ppm down a little bit more too,120 is great for the babies though.
dont know what you did but go back and look at your first pics
if im not mistaken bass captians water was full of iron,he let you know ,i remember he played with it for a couple weeks before he even had good water for his dogsOut of the tap pH is 8.03.
no still got to get that 1193 ,way down way way down, sure your meter is right cause them plants look a lot better,is the tds meter starting out as zero on screen ?the ph is a little high for coco but i have gone as high as 6.8 with some hogzlla plants, feeding 5 times a day,roy walker, damn nice smoke , run about another half gallon water threw one cup ,pick your worst plant,ph the water at 6.0and run the water threw ,about the last cup or so check the ph and ppm, dont run threw all at once, run a cup threw let it drain and repeat if you digFan is on low. I just remembered I was supposed to order another fan. The one I got in there isn't the one I ordered, or I did and just made a mistake, hahaha! I knew there was something.
Ending pH from run off was 6.65, ppm 1193. Is this good?
Look at the first pictures I posted? Or the ones from this morning?
Yep, I dig. I'm letting them drain a bit more before I go back. I was starting to question the meter, too. You and about two other people I know have said the same as you. Y'all are experts, as far as I'm concerned so maybe I'll just stick with the old manual meter? Yes, meter is at 0. I didn't like digital blood pressure cuffs when I was on the truck, preferred manual unless we were running hot, as it always gave a more accurate reading and wasn't so sensitive. Maybe this meter is about the same?no still got to get that 1193 ,way down way way down, sure your meter is right cause them plants look a lot better,is the tds meter starting out as zero on screen ?the ph is a little high for coco but i have gone as high as 6.8 with some hogzlla plants, feeding 5 times a day,roy walker, damn nice smoke , run about another half gallon water threw one cup ,pick your worst plant,ph the water at 6.0and run the water threw ,about the last cup or so check the ph and ppm, dont run threw all at once, run a cup threw let it drain and repeat if you dig
run a couple cups threw it and check it ,your trying to see how much it takes for the othersno still got to get that 1193 ,way down way way down, sure your meter is right cause them plants look a lot better,is the tds meter starting out as zero on screen ?the ph is a little high for coco but i have gone as high as 6.8 with some hogzlla plants, feeding 5 times a day,roy walker, damn nice smoke , run about another half gallon water threw one cup ,pick your worst plant,ph the water at 6.0and run the water threw ,about the last cup or so check the ph and ppm, dont run threw all at once, run a cup threw let it drain and repeat if you dig
Copy that. Standby.run a couple cups threw it and check it ,your trying to see how much it takes for the others
might be,cause those plants look lot better,i buy them cheap tds and ph meter with solution off amazon 20 buck,im done buying high price ones that last just about as long hahahYep, I dig. I'm not sure what is happening right now or what has offended you or why the other person was offended either in the other post. I am not even sure what you are talking about, but sail on brother, if you are bothered. I have nothing but peace and well wishes for you.Says the dude that’s been growing for two months.
Kim,
It’s likely ur plants are not doing w
last piece of advice I have for Kim.
Stop listening to this dude. He’s been growing for less than two months. He may mean well, but he’s hurting your grow. You’re better off studying up yourself than allowing yourself to be taught bad habits.
Gl to you. This is my last post here.
