Hi Cosmo, some lights you listed above, I'm afraid that they can't cover a 2'x4' area. if 2'x4', you need at least 250w, I'd like to recommend you , the actual power is 250w, coverage is 2'x4' at bloom, and 3'x5' at veg, we can ship from the local warehouse directly, it will take about 3 working days. You can check the details on the official website, and some feedback photos on my photo wall.
Our forwarders informed us some express delivery companies already shut down, because of the bad situations, if you need lights, please kindly order them soon.

Spider farmer offered me a discount code. Thanks for the reply tho. Maybe in the future.

Current battle is spider farmer vs kingbrite. Kingbrite is better just the shipping is getting me. 15 days. I don't have time.

HLG has good reputation. i was looking at something like that for myself - i do have my new LED from January, but looking at upgrading already, even before my first grow is done! not sure about the 225w model you mentioned above...

I'm just so clueless what to get now. I don't want a cheapy.. this light didn't even last one grow cycle. But I don't have much cash at the moment, and I need something. Could maybe swing like 180 at most. On hlgs website. It's a bitch when you don't really know much about the lights lol.

Do you need a square light to completely replace the old blurple light?

Yes, I'm an OCD grower and I won't use half a light. This light is half blown and the whole thing needs to be replaced. I was thinking the Mars sp150. But that only covers 2x2 and I need 2x4. I can't afford your 259 dollar sp250. Hlg puts me in the same boat. The lights I can afford don't cover enough.
This light I had in here didn't even cover the full space.

You can see how small it is in the tent in the picture. I think it covered a 2x2 or 2x3 or something idk. (Tent to the left)

just a thought bubble, okay, i haven't thought it through, either - 2 LEDS to cover that 2x4 area? i know, BUDGET!

you could always buy LED which covers a wider area, and use it on your smaller 2x4 area, perhaps?

BTW, I was also looking at SF models. MARS also considered. pissed myself looking at California Lightworks!!!

so, you need lights quickly, huh.

yes, i was looking at that SF1000 and SF2000. the SF2000 covers 2' x 4'.

i know you need these lights ASAP, but do take you're time in making this decision, it'll save you heartache later.

I was writing that post as u posted this one lol. Anyways, I even looked into the Cali lightworks and fuck all that. Hahaha.

You know, I have options too I could pull the meizhi 900w out of the flower tent, and put it in veg, and get a new flower light that covers a smaller area because my flower tent already has two lights.

I can only have 3 lights roughly (depends on wattage obviously) before I start blowing breakers in my apartment. With all the extra equipment and a/c etc I started blowing breakers when running all 4 lights I have. So I currently do have backups. But the backups are a cheap generic 60 dollar light, and then a Kingled 1000w which I can just visibly see it doesn't cover the tent. So for now I'm running the backups but I'm on the edge becauSe I have to run two lights now in each tent. Instead of one in the veg and two in flower.

I could maybe swing this

I think the SP150 is best for you now, the actual power is 150w, the coverage is not 2'x2'. SP150 is a rectangle ship light, the coverage is 1.5'x3' at bloom. And let the bluple lights as a supply light now, when the budget is enough, then get a other full-spectrum light(maybe the TS600), then perfect match your tent.
If you wanna get a new light for 2'x4', you must higher you budget, for any brand quality lights.
The SF1000 coverage is 2'x2' not enough, you need at least 2 pcs

there you go, you have to think it through a little more.

you've quickly expanded in your operations, and that was rather organic in itself. so, you need to consolidate and get the grows back under control, first by making the purchase of new lights which are suitable for you. i know you're keen to replace this essential hardware, but you're doing the right thing by mulling over it (so to speak!, just wanted to say that, yeah!).

it also depends on how you use your lights and grow area. you might be using the same light for both vegetative and flowering phases - or you could use a set of lights in one grow area for vegetative growth with one light, and another light to flower in another area....that would make different purchasing decision. i guess you're trying to create a rotation system, with one area vegetative and another area flowering.

but you've set your budget and those SF, HLG and maybe MARS is on your short list, yeah?

Yes! So my grow space is really just my bedroom lol. I have two tents. An air conditioner outside the tents in my bedroom which controls the temperature of both tents. and humdifers in each tent. Ac infinity exhaust in the flower, and a cheap vivosun exhaust in the 2x4 Mars hydro veg tent. 4x4 ohuhuu flower tent.

So there's some specs. 2 lights in the flower(pic one below)

And then one light in the veg. Plants go obviously seedling/veg to flower to harvest and the rotation cycles. Everytime a plant changes tent I plan to germ a new seed.. I haven't done that yet as I have alot going I need to slow it down a bit. Anyways, some background for you.

I know HLG, and Spider farmer sell quality lights that's why I was looking into them. Exactly what you mean by shortlist? Like, my go to lights?

Thank you for a fairly quality answer. You're right. I was looking into the sp150. It's on the maybe list also. I won't make a purchase probably until tomorrow, get some thought into this.
I like the idea of a bar light for the 2x4.

I like the idea of a kingbrite QB in the flower tent.

Not to sure where to go right now.

short list, as in you got those products that you're considering - yes, 'go to'.

i'm leaning towards SF, over both HLG and MARS for different reasons, myself for my second lights - SF2000, that is. But wondering how those HLG goes, too. saw that HLG225W and it's on my 'short-list', now.

when i purchased my first LED in January - i always had this second light that i am now considering in mind.

if you need to, maybe hold off until your budget is a little larger, to get the right light.

you're happy with that meizhi 900w, in both vegetative and flowering phase? and that 900w covers 4' x 4', right?

also, if you're not sure, don't pull the trigger, yet.
