I think they need more nute than any soil can give. I'd set up flood tables, use a mother plant and clones and go for 8lbs every 2 months.

Im doing a legal medical grow. Im not sure if im allowed to sell my leftover weed. I may have to toss whats left over. Do you or anybody know the law in honolulu hawaii? I can grow up to 10 plants for myself and grow for others. I beleive it says i can posses up to 4oz at a time. Am i allowed to sell or donate it?

COB LEDs are just as good as HPS nowadays, especially now with generation 7 COB LEDs. I can put 620 watts of 3500k COB LEDs (6 of them) on a 4 x 4 grow area and get same final dried and cured weight as 1,000 watt HPS all day long. Even better than that, is that I can also add two additional 1750k red Gen 7 COB LEDs hammering the same grow area for just the last 4 weeks of flowering and have tight as f*ck crazy nugs from the added reds and still come in 170 watts less than a 1,000 watt HPS with indoor nugs as good looking and as tight as I've ever done with even the best 1,000 watt HPS lights. Add the fact that there is 80% less heat and saving on AC/fan costs over time and its a no brainer. This really boils down to knowing which "LEDs" work the best and not just buying random junk off Amazon.

I gotta disagree with you @Aqua Man. Yes, LED beats HID on paper but anyone I've ever known to run DE-HPS beside any LED out there, will tell you the DE-HPS outproduces. It just does.

If they were forced to choose just one, it would be DE-HPS for flower. Ideally a mix of DE and LED.
That's because they're using garbage LEDs off Amazon and not the good stuff like gen 7 COB arrays. One LED is as effective as a Coors light beer and another LED is 180% proof Moonshine. Big difference there. And it's all in the knowing of what actually works, and what is just overhyped garbage that makes the difference.

I was reading that you can’t dim a gavita light without some controller and you can only get it to 50% then, 1900 for a light that you need to get all this ala cart stuff in order to use it is bs. I got the spider farmer se3000 and it offers every spectrum that gavita does and you can dim it! I’m not hocking spider farmer but I only paid 400 for it and it is about the same kind of light. I don’t get why they need to charge so much when you can get a better product cheaper. I don’t care where or who made it, I only care if it works and is affordable and spider farmer wins hands down.

I've got one of these in a tent for testing but this is why I'm leery of these lights for the long term (as many others are as well around the forums)... If I've got a gigantic spider array with a bazillion tiny LEDs in it, and several LEDs start going bad over time, this is just a solder gun massive headache and absolute nightmare for performance. The company I use started making these 300 tiny LED nightmare arrays as well and I'm just like f*ck that. https://timbergrowlights.com/cypress-6/ It's just not logical in my opinion to make these things and totally goes against the KISS principle altogether.. This type of thing they make however that uses only 6 gen 7 COBs > https://timbergrowlights.com/redwood-vs/ I can have 5 - 10 little yellow half dollar sized replacement backup COB 7 LEDs in a garage drawer along with a back-up power supply and know I'll be set FOR YEARS without massive headaches while adhering to KISS.

I just went through 10 pages of charts, and graphs. The only picture I saw was Ibezeys HPS grow.
Anyway, lots of graphs, numbers, and people who haven't looked back.
There was one thing missing. Pictures to support the #'s.
Anyone?

Under 2 gavita 1700e and still 8 more plants to pull down at that point. There are loads of examples all over many forums, IG and the likes of the garbage social media. Its hard to debate anymore… LED out produces HID by a huge margin gram per watt.

The thread in the link is a total of about 6.5 lbs in a 4x8 from about 1200 watts of LED just over tge wattage of a 1000w HPS which is the highest yielding HID. Cant say i have ever seen a grow that pulls over 6 lb from a 1k HPS or even close for that matter

Not many commercial guys that arent getting 3 lb per light under LED these days

Wonder if I get out the LED lights during flower here outside if it can throw it over the top. Maybe a few of the last weeks

I noticed a big difference in internodes and stretch end weights depending on the spectrum with lm301h 3500k & 660+IR being optimal and creating the biggest yield. Seems like a challenge with some getting massive in the extreme

If it does any justice I use a photontek sq300w in a 3.3by3.3 and got 487grams but if I put in all the same pheno that average of 3 plants yielded 66.6 if I filled it out with 9×3 gallon pots I'd get 599 ball park can anyone do me the gram per watt 😉
