I just had a breeder tell me it's possible for fem seeds to make males. He said it's very rare but happens 1-1000 times. I think I've heard that before, but no one has explained the science behind the claim. I guess I'm just unlucky- only planted 2 seeds and got that 1-1000.
Better go buy lotto tickets. Keep it rolling lol

Lol, your a lucky man.

my understanding is they are mustached females. Gals that have strong male expression. Much like you find in a human population.

so you would think that using the burly female, on the other gals would produce you some fem seed, but in my experience the resulting population was a normal regs population. 50/50 M/F ratio.

Maybe its not even the same strain or fem seed. No way I'd use it to make seeds.

My understanding is the same. I have even heard people claim it is because of environmental stress. Something akin to herms. Just not true.

9 generations with it, does fairly well. Not recommending its tech, I just did it to see the outcome.

if I come across something that makes a bit of sense, I’ll give it a go.
had read sometime ago when making a Haze hybrid, to do the outcross both ways, then combine those two lines. Took a bit of time, but did it and turned out great for me. Combining ability of parent plants has a lot to do with it, and what I chose worked.

doing another project currently, to see how the above outcross work would do with hybrids. Always try and have something going on in a grow other then just growing for bud.

Every now and then, I buy seeds just to see if I can get something better than what I already have. Out of 32 store bought seeds, so far I found one thats just as potent and has a nice smoke.
I've found some good gems with dungeon vault. Be been running the slush it's a purple jellato cross that's killer heavy yielding . Im currently doing a pheno hunt on the slush , Denver delight , banana buttercup , and oogb

Hey guys is it possible to buy seeds from this site?

There's a page showing all the strains..but how to like purchase them?

Or is it simply a reference page for us to go elsewhere?

I've decided to grow Grand Daddy Purple for my next show.
I've tried Purple Erkel and Big Bud before, so having them combined...oooh la la!!!

I predict massive disappointment with the GDP. Like Gorilla Glue. There's so many bullshit breeders out there just lying. My buddy here is on his third attempt to find genuine GDP. And same with GG4. He's got these little shrubs that look nothing like real GG4 at week 6 of flower.

Trust nothing from Seedsman. I don't know why he did.

If your looking in selfed seeds you will never find it.

Hey-just jumping in here. I, too, just had an issue with a “feminized” seed that was a true male. From a grower I have traded with for years, he said this is the first time this has ever happened to his knowledge. It happened at an unfortunate time, as we were just a few days on 12/12 when my father passed. Our good friends, bless their hearts, babysat our grow for two weeks while we were gone. And they did excellent except they did not notice/realize that one plant “stage center” was a male intruding on our slumber party. Our shock and horror when we returned! Needless to say the run is ruined but we are letting the seeds mature.
As an aside, is it only me (40 years inside grower) that notices reduced vigor on the feminized strains? I’ve been breaking both M/F and feminized strains and I’m just wondering if the feminization of everything is also hurting our stocks….

I grew out some LD95 seeds (Top dawg) which were selling for $208 on SHN -- I only used half the seeds and found a keeper pheno that is the some of the loudest most unique smoke I've tasted.

If you're going to be keeping clones and/or breeding with the seeds the price tag is a tiny tiny percentage of the value they can generate

The seeds i mentioned are from Sensi not Seedsman..or are they the same company do you think?
Sensi is good. I just question any that never show any purple and I'm not buying that it's because the grow environment wasn't cold enough. The last few grows friends have done and that I could actually see none had purple. I just think too many are selling strains diluted or created that aren't the real deal. It's just Durban X Purple Urkle. Don't know about PU anymore either. Not saying all are counterfeits or weak copies. Just wondering.

Went to check out my buddy's latest GDP attempt and saw his "Gorilla Glue" that sure looked nothing like GG.

lately have seen packs of seeds for $500.00 a pack (regs) and $1.500.00 a pack (fems) and have even seen a clone for $10,000.00 (Chimers#3) (white truffle x the creation) and a Plantmum Kush Breath Remix for $1,500.00
help me understand the cost of seeds ? - understand that it takes some years before one gets a stable seed ------------- have spent $125.00 a pack --------- What is the most you have ever spent ?
They must be really high lol

I only have ordered seeds from ILGM and they were ALL female and grew fucking fantastic...but recently people have been saying they haven't been receiving seeds from them so I've been hesitant ordering again.

I really want to try OMFG which is from Runtz and Red Pop..but $170 for a bag of 6...arrrgh i will grow it but not till summer has gone, weather here atm is all over the place.

But i want to try Sensi once my set up is 100% finished..but might contact ILGM regarding their GDP.

Well said i was just thinking the same thing and told myself to get over the prices.

End of the day we have to be thankful for the breeders out there.

I paid $106 shipping and tax included for these seeds. I ordered 5 gods gift and 3 Bruce banner autos and they sent 5 god's gift for free for paying in cash. 13 seeds total. That's reasonableView attachment 1205200..Bruce
Thats awesome would love to grow BB one day, will you be doing a grow diary for Mr.Banner by any chance this year?

I dont like paying alot for seeds. I also dont like wacky niche markets, on any level. Am I missing out on the greatest highs ever, maybe ? Somehow I doubt it.. I like to pay, $3-5 for a regular photo seed, and 5-10 for a feminized seed of reputable genetics.
Bingo! I don't like all the bullshit games people play either. Never have, never will.

When people start charging astronomical prices for genetics; from seeds descending from medical cultivars given to the general public "for free" over the past 30 so years. It pisses me off for the average grower who's utterly clueless about it all. Genetics are important; don't get me wrong; but growing prowess matters just as much. That's where the disconnect occurs. We should always be aspiring to improving both; and dispense with the pie in the sky crap.

Outstanding genetics abound on these forums for little of nothing; At the root of it is simply greed and hype; games people play.
At the end of the day; you make honest connections; or let the dishonest carry you away with promises of the legends in their own mind.

I always put my hopes on the philosophy; what you see is what you get.
