So when drying I want to keep the temperature between 60 and 65 and the humidity between 50 and 60. I'm going to try to hang them in my tent and close it up and if there's not enough room in there I have a closet behind it that is staying in that temperature range. I got to get the plants hung up before I know what the humidity is going to be. I have a question though, while drying my plans will be in the dark but is it okay do have a little bit of light in the room because my AC went out and I'm going to have to leave a window open? Also wanna get this auto under the ts 1000

Gonna have a lot of sugar leaves and larf. That I have no idea what to do with and don't wanna toss. I tried to make cannabutter last time with it and it wasn't edible LOL. I wanted to see if I even made it to have any type of high so I choked down a huge dose of it on toast and no effects that I could tell. I really wanna learn to make edibles dabs hash rosin etc.

So I made a couple mistakes nearing the end. So I had all my small buds at the bottom pretty solid not larfy. Today all the small ones at the bottom exploded into larf. Probably because of the extra 6 hours I left that light on a couple nights ago. Looks like reveg. They were popcorn buds anyways. I'll end up keeping them and either smoking it in with the bud or making something. It's going to hurt my yields a little bit not much. Any advice?

You can get some bubble bags and make hash out of the trim and larf. Lots of videos how to do it. I have made butter in the past and the cookies destroyed people. Those magic butter machines work well too. If i were making butter again i would decarb it first, then about an 2-3 of trim per pound of butter/coconut oil, in a large stock pot. Then cover the mixture in water, plenty of water. Bring to a boil and simmer for 2-4 hours. For the next part you need large bowls, i used old 1 gallon icecream buckets. Pour the liquid onto the buckets, straining it through double layer cheese cloth. Then ball up the mixture in the cheese cloth and sqeeze out the butter. It has to still be very hot so you need to wear 2 layers of thick rubber dishwashing gloves, it will still feel very hot. Then place thr buckets in the fridge. The butter will harden up on top of the water. Remove the butter ans store indefinitely in you freezer, dump the water.

The 6 hours of light didnt cause reveg. Its more about light penatration in your canopy. On larger plants i remove alot of the bottom budding sites to encourage growth to the top and to decrease larf that i dont want to trim. Your tent being open, during lights on, removes one of the reflective surfaces that helps get light to lower branches

Yup. I rotate em 45° everyday but that only helps so much. Ya I'm learning that j should remove all the little sucker branches. Any opinions on taking the top layer of but that's finished and hanging it up and waiting maybe a few more days see if the bottom ones start to harden up or should I just consider it larf and harvest the whole thing. The larf is covered in trichomes. So if I do harvest and have alot of it. I gotta put it to good use.

I dry in my tent so the partial harvest doesnt work for me but plenty of people do it. if you look up my first grow you can see where i cleaned up the bottom portion, i also used bamboo stakes to spread out the buds to get more light deep into the plants

Yes...bubble hash is the way to go for the larfy buds. Use the sugar leaves from trimming too....plenty of trichomes on those. Save it all up in your freezer until you have 4-6 ounces then process it 2-3 times through the bubble bags. You can even make cannabutter or coconut oil out of the leftovers. I get strong butter even after pulling out all that hash.

Is there a cheap bubble hash bag kit

I may need some guidance making bubble hash or edibles. I have a simple slow cooker crock pot. To make butter.

Amazon sells cheap bags but if are going to use them frequently then spend a little more on good ones. Lots of videos on bubble hash, here and YouTube. My first time i used all the bags, like 8 and it was too much. Just use the 3 best ones with a good work bag. I over mixed mine, i used a power drilll with paint mixer paddle. I think i ended up with more plant material but it is killer hash. It just doesn't roll up into nice temple balls. Dry sift is another way to go. Some one just posted a whole series on making dry sift hash

These machines are not terribly expensive and they take all the guess work out. Just put in your trim/bud with butter or oil and sit back and wait.

I use the Bubble Bag Dude bags. The 5 bag set was around $30 when I bought it. I've been using them for years and they're holding up well so far.
that is the same brand i use, got them off amazon years ago on sale for 19, just used them recently though

I mean they're $40 on Amazon right now how much do I need to get product out of it. I was thinking trim larf maybe a little bit of bud to go into it. I was planning on dry trimming. I was just going to take all the fans off and big leaves and hang them in my tent until I get the stems to snap. Then cut the buds off the branches and jar them with the sugar leaves still on wrapped around the bud. And cure them this way slowly.

I also just purchased a box of these to go in the jars. So with that process how long would you guys leave them in the jars? How would you burp them? Also what RH% and temp would you guys want the jars at? I want to know what you guys do. I'm most likely going to chop false plants at the same time and hang them in my 3 by 3 they probably won't fit so I may have to hang some in my closet I don't know if it's a good idea cramming them all in there like that or it may be because it's really dry right now it may keep it nice and humid in there for a slow dry. I know I really don't want them touching so they get a little air flow around them. If you were me how would you guys dry and cure?

I would run about 100g of material at a time in the bags, you can definitely do less but any more and its hard to mix.
I like my jar humidity to be around 60, the range is 58-62 so if the meters are a little off you have some wiggle room.
When i dry i hang the branches from clothes hangers in my tent. I tried hanging the whole plant the first time and it dried unevenly. In the small space the branches worked great. Try to keep the humidity as close to 60 as possible. Its impossible to over dry your buds if you keep the air at 60. Some folks will do 55 for first day then bring it up to 60 for the rest of the time. I feel that if branches are snapping then the bud it to dry

This is from my last bubble run - the big one is 8.5g. Not a big haul but I was a little lazy and only processed twice.

For drying and curing, I've become distrustful of the humidity meters and go more by sense of touch. I can pretty much tell when they're done or when they need to continue being burped and at what frequency. Not scientific, but when you put two meters into a jar and get two completely different readings, it's hard to trust that. I probably just need to buy better meters.

I posted this picture before of my last one. You guys think this is cool. I probably won't fit it all in there but I'll use the closet. We'll see. I like using the carbon filter and dehumidifier because it makes nice clean airflow and can just set the dehumidifier. This may sound odd but It's pretty dry and I might run the humidifiers just so I can run my dehumidifier to filter the air. Also regardless of where it's at will a small amount of dim light in the room bother it or do I need to keep it like in flowering in pitch black at all times I have green lights If need em.

Let em chill in the dark at 65° most of the day. Had the green light on and cleaned up and completely wiped the tent down and got all the lights and fans put away. Gonna chop em and hang em tomorrow. I don't think it'll all fit in the tent I have my closet that stays cold though. It's pretty dry here maybe it's a good idea to cram my tent to try to keep humidity up. Air in the room is 25%. Also have humidifiers.
