How do ya like them apples…. Lmao great movie. But if we’re being truthful i don’t remember a crayon eating window licker casting as would be more fitting to my role.
Well you aren’t the one who jacks if in the baseball mitt I know that. Not sure about slg…

OK, so I left my 3 bottle comfort zone and mixed up some Epsom salt water, 12g (a little light) which raised the ppm by about 110. I had previously amended the res up to 1230ppm because she appeared so hungry.....not leaf tip burn yet. So I diluted everything back down to that 1230 mark and gonna see how she responds. I have to work at the bar tonight so will check her out when I get home if the lights are still on. Thanks guys!

Besides without one you can’t watch porn and Jack off into a baseball mitt. You win.

I don't need porn to achieve that wonderful leather smell afterglow experience bro 🤣

OK guys, didn't get a look last night, didn't get off work till 3am, but this morning from what I can tell there is a slight bit of improvement. It's hard to tell if there is progress or my wishful thinking, lol. If there is improvement, it's very slight. Also, in one of the photos I see a slight bit of leaf tip burn so seems I finally found her upper limits right around 1200ppm.

Anyhow, I'm wondering how long after adding that Epsom should I expect to see marked improvement? I want to flip this gal soon and want her in tip top shape at that time.

I did a major defoliation and LST yesterday, getting her spread out and ready to flip. I am still seeing a sulfur deficiency so I added six more grams of Epson salt to the res, PPMs riding at 1250, a very slight bit of leaf tip burn but not enough to dilute things at this time.

This is one finicky bitch from what I can tell. I had added more Epsom salt and did not seem to help, I was wondering if I was adding too much so I decided to go ahead and change out the res for the first time on this grow. She has been sulfur hungry and I haven't seemed to be able to get a grasp on that.

I went ahead and changed out the res for first week bloom ratios for the added sulfur. I'm going to be flipping, my guess would be within a weeks time so I'll look at this as a transition. When I finished, she's sitting at 1220 ppm, 6.1 ph and letting her ride down through the acceptable range.

It's kind of hard to tell in the photos but the light pale green is still a problem and hoping to see that resolved in the next day or two.

Getting this girl ready to flip, I installed my metal trellis and did another major defoliation and trying to train her to the outside. I’m going to try to continue tucking branches. Hoping to flip within a week and I think I have the deficiencies solved.

Getting her spread out and boy, is she really taking off. Roots are massive for this stage, she's got a great foundation.

I did the res change out and added week 1 bloom ratios and she seemed to like it, think I am still seeing a bit of sulfur deficiency and may need to amend with Epsom salt again, what do you think @Aqua Man, normal new growth or sulfur hungry still?

She is drinking a lot right now and ppm has gone down from the 1250 range to 1100, she is eating, a very slight bit of leaf tip burn so Imma lettin her ride, see how she does at 1100+.

I'm giving her a chance to recover from a pretty intense LST, then I'm going to remove everything below the trellis and get her ready to flip this weekend.

@Moe.Red what do you think of my LST this time? Taking what I learned from you and trying for the grand slam this time!

👊

Looking good man. Curious what Aqua has to say about sulfur here. To me, 3rd pic, new growth - I'm seeing something there but I'll wait to hear from the master.

Same here bro, Aqua had advised me previously about a sulfur def and it was spot on. When I changed out the res I did not add any Epsom back and I am thinking I need to do that again. Seems she is a sulfur hog from what I can tell. I'm with you on waiting for Aqua to chime in but I do think that is the solution here.

All the new growth sites look the same as that closeup.

Yes, magnesium sulfate (epsom) for the win if it is mag or sulfur.

Sulfur is partially mobile, and generally does not show up on new growth first, more in the middle of the plant.

Sulfur

Magnesium deficiency shows on older leaves first.

Personally, I do not think it is either of these, but I got my popcorn out and my answer written on a scrap of paper waiting to compare against the expert.

After A-man suggested sulfur, I did a bit of reading on the subject. From what I read, it's a fairly rare def. Also some of the photos I looked at did not speak sulfer def to me, some kinda did. I also trust Aman a lot and so I went with his recommendation, worst case scenerio, I have to change out the res if things did not bode well. From what I could tell, she improved and at the very least, did no damage.

I have read that sulfur is an uncommon problem because of burning coal dumping it into the atmosphere. Not sure how well that relates to indoor grows tho.

You are right to trust aqua and I am not trying to second guess anything here. This could be something different.

That appears to be your apical meristem. Correct me if I am wrong.

That should be about the most healthy part on the plant. It looks light green and tiger striped to me, but some of that could be in the camera. Regardless, If this is the newest highest growth on the plant, it should not be suffering any sort of mobile nutrient deficiency while those bottom fan leaves are nice and green and perfect. Boron (B), Calcium (Ca), Copper (Cu), Iron (Fe), Manganese (Mn), Molybdenum (Mb), Sulfur (S) and Zinc (Zn) are the immobile, or partly immobile nutes.

This is the label for Flora Micro

Brown

It's basically the immobile nutrients plus some N and Potash.

I suppose one way to look at this is the ratio of Micro to Grow should be adjusted based on the symptoms and amount of N needed, and if the symptoms seem to be immobile, Micro is your best friend. But if you are in danger of N tox, you need to take Grow out at the rate you up Micro.

Also, adding epsom will not hurt, and may help! Sulfur is not in Micro, so, OK I'm babbling.

Again not telling you what to do, but since you are not in flower yet you could easily back down the light and slow things down a bit to give you time to react and figure this out.

You could also do a foliar application of epsom to a bad spot to observe the impact.

One more thing I just thought of, since you are now using epsom and you have quite a bit of calcium (5%) in micro, you should NOT be using cal-mag any more. Too much of a good thing and all.

Hey Sweetleaf I obviously have limited experience but my current grow one of my plants was more sensitive to my light than the others and that is how she would start showing it.

If the sulphur doesn’t clear it up then its a high PH or micro deficiency… are you running lean on the micro portion of GH?
