I get my wife to remember things for me & that sucks cuz her memory is as bad as mine.........both heading out, we'll stop by the mail box on the way by........zip right past the mail box and out onto the highway......5 miles later.....mail??

Hey granny im new to forum but I think this is the right spot to ask since its new post.
Nutrient company i use (GHSC)
has a spreadsheet to use with their mineral line
And I was following it without measuring EC and encountered problems.
When you mix nutrient solution for plants and the desired amount EC for this particular stage/week is lets say 1.5
And your tap water is 0.5 EC
You should add 1.0 EC equal amount of mineral nutrients at the right balance ?
Then measure once a week or so the runoff and see where the EC in relation to EC of solution im currently giving them is?
If its the same amount or 0.1 greater than its fed appropriately if its lower its hungry and if its higher than i should ease off on the nutrients?
Ive never measured EC/PPM is my understanding correct?

Don’t worry about the EC that runs off, I’m sure I’m goi g to ruffle a few feathers with that information 😂. If the EC is the same as it was going in then what did the plant use??? Most of the time it will be a little higher coming out, but don’t worry yourself with that. When new to any fertilizer always use half the amount they recommend on the bottle or bag. Ease your plant into it and go up or down according to what u see the plants respond is. 1.5 EC tells me u should be deep in your flowering weeks somewhere towards the last weeks of flower. Keep it simple

Writing it down helps. Then when I’ve covered the 20 feet out onto the back porch and standing there, scratching my head wondering, I can look at the paper. Oh yeah, a beer and a Twinkie!

What’s your medium? I see where you are going with this, just want to make sure. You are trying to combine the natural EC of your water source, supplementing the balance with nutes?
What are the problems you have ran in to? Pics?
The ranges completely depend on your grow method.
A great source for these answers on this forum is @Aqua Man, he is the number one water guru 🙂
As for me, I grow organically in soil and never encounter these probs.
BTW, welcome to the corner! Many fantastic folks here!

Hi PAL. Busy day? 🤣

I’m off to dentist again later so no smoking yet. Cleaning this time.

It was a damp chill 7* this AM but up to 13 now. Still a damp chill.

I had to remove SCROG. Plants to tall and sick to bother. Came off pretty easy. Hope I can fix up but this weekend either good or gone.

At least the last harvest was good. Hope it lasts...😝

Actually, yes! Feed and water day too! I can tell you that I am very awake and alert 🔔 ‼️

Do you have any idea how cold a spring fed well is at 7 am?
Yesterday, my hubby installed a motion activated water device in my English garden to keep the cats from pooping in it.
Guess who got that this morn? Yup. Me. Bent over.. soaked!
What a way to start the day! Whoooooooooopeeeeee!
