Yes it called “bolting” it’s getting heady to pollinate. When you start to see bolting, I will let the seeds mature a little then harvest. Once they start to bolt the will turn bitter.

I planted the seeds around the end of may so it’s probably right around 90 days.
I think the pack said 75-90 days from seed to harvest but my dumbass didn’t know what to look for

Right? One of these two plants is not the same!!!! I grew a bunch of mammoth basil and bolted the fuck out of all of them. Got a ton of seeds, but man, that stuff went in the compost.

I’m hoping with tonight’s harvest the taste is still good.

I’m planning on removing the entire top node to ward off flowering, then harvest all the mature leaves. Maybe I can get a couple harvests outta it
