The two males were in the downstairs bathroom until they were finally culled tonight. Hmmm, the LED's are interesting and I will save judgement until harvest, but will make certain observations as soon as I get an exhaust on the tent... Right now there isn't any and this is a problem with heat. :speechless

I am stoked for you to get that LED from Garden of Dreams. You will provide unbiased results I am certain and I know everyone here will appreciate your reports.

There are few farmers here who work as, "Smart" and hard as you Shady! I am doing way too many things to become any kind of expert in this regard and also count on your reports as my indicators for how to proceed in my grows.

I am trying to get a sick LED setup together also and anticipate getting started with my LED adventures near the close of next weekend... Now I don't have the cash to do this, but I will try to pull some strings! I would love to get my LED grow going parallel to yours as another comparison!

You should try to make it out to the Spring Gathering, I need a tan and will be soaking up the sun. I am gonna talk with Swerve about getting me some CaliConnection materials to spread around the venue in my spare time. I basically have to setup a booth in the morning and wait for the show to finish at 11PM when I can begin to tear down my part of the booth. I am a sound/stage/lighting guy in the evenings, so I should have a lot of networking opportunities at this show. The Chronic Candy Booth is gonna look like candy this show!

I’ll start this post with some soil veg and hydro bloom feedings I’ve been doing in the last week… trying to delay the transplant on the Shady Mother Tent and the huge res change for the Shady Bloom Room.

First, here’s a quick shot of the Shady Veg Station, where I’ve raised the lights nearly every day and will need to top most of the plants and take more clones for potential mothers…

Summary of Tuesday’s Soil Section Feedings... 5/4/10
The resulting teas are as follows in ml/gal:

On Saturday only, I watered all of Round 5 with the following mix, which was the first time for Hammerhead and Bud Candy in hydro this round:

Summary of Saturday’s Hydro Res Change... 5/1/10
The following amounts are as follows in ml/gal and based upon a 2 gal res (filled w/3 gal of R/O):
Drain to Waste - CM:6/Grow:0/Micro:7/Bloom:10/FB:10/Hammerhead:3/Bud Candy:3 = 689 PPM, 5.79 pH

And on Sunday and Monday, I watered with the following mix:

Summary of Sunday and Monday’s Hydro Res Change... 5/2/10 & 5/3/10
The following amounts are as follows in ml/gal and based upon a 3 gal res (filled w/5 gal of R/O):
Drain to Waste - CM:6/Grow:0/Micro:7/Bloom:11/FB:5/Hydroplex:3 = 784 PPM, 5.78 pH

Last night I sprayed all of my plants with Zone and Penetrator, and I will prob hit them all including the bloom room one more time with BioNeem in the next couple days.

Today I finally began use of my 50 gal res with the following mix, and tomorrow the drip manifold will be installed:

Summary of Tuesday’s Hydro Res Change... 5/4/10
The following amounts are as follows in ml/gal and based upon a 25 gal res (filled w/40 gal of R/O):
Drain to Waste - CM:6/Grow:0/Micro:8/Bloom:10/FB:0/Hydroplex:1 = 830 PPM, 5.72 pH

* I’ll go into further detail as I checked each nutrient’s PPM’s. I start with a 50 gal res that can only be filled with about 40 gal of R/O water. I act as though only 25 gal of water is in the res. Therefore I multiply the 25 gal times the ml/gal numbers above. For example, CalMag at 6 ml/gal times 25 gal, equals 150 ml of CalMag. I mix the CM first and then check the PPM’s which register right at 200 PPM (my R/O starts at 10 PPM). I do the same procedure for each nutrient added. So Micro registers at 400 PPM, Bloom at 200 PPM, Hydroplex at 20 PPM, and 25 ml of Base to raise the pH from 5.0 to 5.72 equals 10 PPM, all for a total of 830 PPM. Simple…

As for the LED's, I'm still trying to adapt to their output, coverage area, and distance from the canopy. I also need to get an exhaust on the tent very soon... :icon_dizzy:

I will need to repot all the mothers before flipping the lights on the LED test. Normally I use Fox Farms Happy Frog and Light Warrior in a 1:1 ratio. This time I will substitute Light Warrior with B’Cuzz Coco and chunky perlite. I’m planning on using 50% Happy Frog, 40% Coco, and 10% chunky perlite. I’m not sure if I should also lower the pH of my tea since I’m mixing soil and coco…
