yeah that is what i ment do your rockwool sits on your water? how do you place it and water it if you had to. i just have some trouble getting them to produce rootmass rather they are slowly showing but it takes days to grow.

It is all relative to the water level in your system... Fill your system until it is at your desired operating level, then place an empty net pot in the lid and take note of how far your net pot sits into the water. Then fill your net pot with hydroton to the level of where the water went to. Next set the net pot in the system again to make sure the amount of hydroton you used is allowing your soulution to just barley bubble to the top of the hydroton. You want to see only bubbles, not flowing water. The idea is to just let those bubbles kiss the bottom of your rockwool so to coax those roots down into the solution. Anything more will water log your rockwool and cause slow root development. Another thing to consider is your EC or ppm (which ever you use). Your EC should be around .5 which is between 250 to 350 ppm considering the calibration of your meter. PPM meters are either calibrated at a .5 or .7 factor. The .7 factor is referred to as the 442 conversion factor and is basically 700 multiplied by EC. The .5 factor is referred to as the NaCl conversion factor and is basically 500 multiplied by EC. EXAMPLE : 1 EC on the 442 conversion factor is equal to 700 ppm. 1 EC on the NaCl conversion factor is equal to 500 ppm. Once those roots settle into the Under Current then you can start to ramp up your EC/ppm. follow that advice and you should be money :cash:cash:cash:cash:cash:cash:cash

Pictures, Pictures, Pictures...

here are some pics of my equipment room and A/C's... They are from Excel Air. They are both 5 ton units... The first one is their Stealth model which has the compressor in a sound proof box. The second is their XL model which does not.

Nice Job

WOW!Very Nice settup BD.A+!!Cant wait to see it in action.Happy Growing, peace, fuzzy

wow!! fairplay mate. that room is truely pimped out. you must of spent alot of time and effort to get it looking that good. can't wait to see some trees.

I am blown away by this room! I like how you used the rigid conduit for hanging your lights. I forgot to ask in my other post what size are your rez's? You can see that you have a passion for this by the way you set up the room and that you pre-planned everything! I wish you much success with your plants!!

Its all there.. take some time to read guys.. please. It is very time consuming answering the same question time and time again...

Both flower rooms have two (2) 115 Gal. inductor tanks. Veg. room has two (2) 60 Gal. inductor tanks. My holding tanks for my R/O water are each 400 Gal. and there are two (2) of those as well.

pullin up a chair bro to take sum notes while lurking. happy growing.

Man that is one awesome start, dont mind if I do pull up a front row seat for this one:smiley_joint:

That video is some funny shit... The only thing I like about Advanced is their PH Up and PH Down.. That shit is concentrated and just a few mL's will go a very long way!

That video straight had me rolling on the floor that was some of the funniest shit ever! Thanks for the link i will make sure it gets posted to there website!! :rofl

Let me Clarify: A few mL's will go a long way in a 40gal. Res!

Yes, their pH adjusters are very concentrated... If you are using it in the Under Current be sure to add it at very small doses, like 1 drop at a time. The reason being that both the up and down are extremely corrosive in this high concentration, especially pH down being that it is an acid. Adding to much to fast can do damage to the roots as the concentrate dissipates through the system. These concentrates were designed to be mixed in a reservoir first and then applied to your plants, not applied directly in a system with and open root system like the Under Current. I remember when GH made their pH about that concentrated as well. Now theirs is so watered down its ridiculous and I'm pretty sure that the price has gone up over the years. A pH That I prefer and use is Mad Farmer:yes. It is cheaper than GH and and more concentrate but, not as concentrate as advanced.
