    Problem with Titan's 8 light (220V) controller.....

Thank you smartcalyx, but I got it fixed and returned. Funny thing is, it is now upgraded to the newer model with a dedicated ground input. A wire burned out, rendering one side of the controller useless. All good now.

    Problem with Titan's 8 light (220V) controller.....

Hot (short pin), neutral (taller pin) and ground (the round one). Ballasts are 220 only. Getting nothing between the hot and neutral (both vertical slots). I spoke to the guys at Titan, and they have admitted to a defective unit, and were awesome to deal with, and the warranty is for three years...

    Problem with Titan's 8 light (220V) controller.....

Hello, I have a Titan eight light controller that is only running two lights, but it should be eight! Please excuse my lack of electrical knowledge but the two lights that are running, test at 113V between the ground and either wire and 220V between the neutral and hot wires. The other six...

28k/28plants RDWC Constuction of room and first grow....

Tables, 400 clones.... years out of date and obviously never been handed over to the DEA before.... good luck with the gold badges, let us know how that works out for you. NorCalTom.... you are going about it the right way, a professional tree farmer. Keep focused and let's see you pull some...

28k/28plants RDWC Constuction of room and first grow....

First off, if you have a sealed room with naked vert lights, you can only grow about 22-25k of light at any one time with a 200A service (with matching AC/chillers/etc.). I know, I blew the wire off my pole twice. They upgrade my supply wire seeing as it melted. I had the police, firemen out and...

Did I find the limit of a 200 Amp residential service?

Didn't blow any transformers. All the fireworks were from the bare ends of the wire swinging in the wind, occasionally contacting. None of the plastic was melted on the line, except near where it blew apart. The lineman said it definitely wasn't me. The second time they sent out one guy who...

LUNG ROOM, FLIP-FLOP, ONE A.C. Help ideas, tips.

I once ran a system exactly like this, with CO2 running 1500ppm 24/7. People told me it was bad for my plants and other BS. The only reason we put the CO2 up to 1500ppm is because that is what the earth used to be like, and plants still have the genetic blueprints to be able to consume much more...

    Compressor blankets are awesome!

Thanks for ze info, as that is what my basic logic told me too. Excel said this wasn't so much of a problem as the real heat is dictated by the liquid in the lines. If you look at Excel's stealth systems, the tall, scroll type compressor is totally sealed in a sound deadened box. The things are...

Did I find the limit of a 200 Amp residential service?

Sweet. Thanks for the info. That makes sense, but what makes the line vibrate? It's like you can feel the juice coming through, and if you touch it lightly you can feel a pulse in the line. I am stoked my new supply line is cool as a cucumber. Sad part is, I can't even expand my 'baby nursery'...

    Compressor blankets are awesome!

So I came up with this brilliant idea of making a sound deadening sock for my new 5 ton... only to find out that they have been around for ages. I called up Excel Air and asked about these compressor blankets to see if there were any issues using them. They said to buy two of them and put one...

Did I find the limit of a 200 Amp residential service?

Wobbly: There is another 20A that reads off the ground wire, although I don't quite understand how that works. Snowblind: 11am - 5pm = expensive 8am - 11am and 5pm - 8pm = moderate 8pm - 8am and all weekends = Cheap! I had to get the power company out to install smart meters that can...

Did I find the limit of a 200 Amp residential service?

Thanks everyone... Yes, I run everything at once. I used to run a flip, but with my new 'time of use' meter plan, my bill has been nearly halved. There is also the much cooler outdoor temps at night. I had one of my guys come out and assess the situation. I was pulling 145A off one pole 165A...

Did I find the limit of a 200 Amp residential service?

Electrical problem: It may have been the wind storms, but just to be sure, I thought I'd ask your opinion... I just had the service wires to my property blow off the pole in a shower of fireworks! I am running 20 lamps with two 5 ton AC's in a sealed room with associated water chiller, fans...

    Juice extraction techniques for Brix/Refracto?

Just wondering if anyone has a great technique for extracting juice from leaves to get a Brix reading on a refractometer. Unless the leaves are bigger than my Shrek sized hand, it is difficult to get enough juice from the leaf material to cover the lens. Using multiple leaves can stress a plant...

OG Raskal newborns in need of HELP

I always have some ph fluctuation. I always have to ad small amounts of ph up. When it starts to plummet down, you can have serious problems. From some of your pics the cubes seem to be almost floating. They should get pretty light, but no bone dry, before watering again. How often are they...

Veins getting brown spots and spreading quickly

Agreed.... epsom salts or Cal Mag. I've never used epsom salts but I had this problem with some babies when I forgot to ad Cal Mag once.... they slowed down so fast that I replaced them entirely. The fan leaves die from the bottom up? You are still getting some growth out of the top, but your...

Good news Horse! I love it when success overcomes adversity as a result of good people helping each other.

Does this look like Rootrot to you?

I concur with JK, the stuff works great. Just be careful to dilute it and add it slowly so you don't burn your roots.

Nearly cut my electric bill in half with new meter!!!!

I do know of one guy that spent over $6,000 at dispensaries in one year.... because he went over the limit for deductible medical costs, he wrote the whole thing off on tax (He even saved the receipts!). My point is that if these are legitimate medical expenses, I cannot see why any of these...
