tight set up bro, everything is spot on.

co2 is heavier than air so it will leak anywhere possible

and like DD said, maybe space them farther apart next run at least....all else is killer bro!

antimatter-
-They were 3 feet tall when I put them into flower..That first day I also trained them by spreading them out into the fence...Agreed maybe they need to be taller but i have my plants only 40" away from each other and they might be to wide for the lighting footprint..These mpb's should have 4k around each plant which I will have when I add 8 more lights..
I am hoping most of my weight comes from the 22 gallons of root ball most of these plants have developed..
-The reason I chose this method is because of the plant count...When I start my second room I will have a total of 30 plants and 48k..I will probably give up some grams per watt but will sleep very well knowing I only have 30 plants in flower..Which is far less than I had in my flat gardens..
-Running pre 98 bubba and would be happy with 1.25lb per plant this first run

My next coco run im going to be doing just 1 plant per 1k, but I know for me if im going to be doing 1 plant per 1k I want 4x4 plants and 5-6 feet tall after stretch if I want to pull good numbers but thats coco I have to veg for a long time.

That was really nice of DD to stop by and give ya props on your grow.

I'm venting my outside room due to heat buildup from the chillers/ballasts and didn't even think about it sucking air out of the grow room through the drains till you brought up the question and DD's response. Thanks for asking! It helps us all :) It also made me think about the air pump pulling in outside air into the room. That air has to go somewhere and probably goes right back out the drains. Gotta love learning about all the little stuff!

I hope that means he is back...Anyone that decides to invest in these buckets is probably going to spend alot of $..I know I have...Having someone like dd around who has already made the mistakes makes me feel a whole lot better...

I hope so, too. Every single time DD posts something, I learn something new.

Hey mcattak did you use the cns17 grow for veg? I've been wondering about Botanicare's new product. It's just a one part fertilizer correct. Looks like it works and must be pretty easy to use.

Have been using cns17 veg and bloom for a while..Let you in on a secret..The reason why I use cns 17 is because I use hardwater about 440 ppm...Because I use hardwater i am probably not optimizing my system, but this is my first run with the buckets so I chose to stick with what I know..Next run I will clean up the water and add cal/mag to my regime..

Earlier I posted a partial nute schedule here is my full lineup-

All the additives I use at 1/4 strength and my base nutes at about 1/2 strength

Wk1 I started at about 900 ppm
and will raise those to 1500 ppm by week 5

Veg-
Cns17 veg
Liquid Karma
Silicone
Roots Excellurator

Bloom-
CNS17 Grow-Wk1
CNS17 Bloom-Wk2-6
Sweet-Wk 3-8
Roots excellurator-Wk1-3
Liquid Karma-Wk1-5
Silicone-Wk 1-4
AN Big Bud-Wk 4 and 5
Overdrive-Wk 6 and 7
PBP Soil-Wk 7 and 8-(Less N and partial organic for taste)

Let me know what you think..

Im pretty sure you need 50 posts to PM. Room looks slick man, I saw in the pictures you're using the net pots with slots all the way up the sides and three smaller sized drains per bucket. It also looks like you have some serious roots, any problems with the drains clogging? I've also been trying to think through this co2 thing. It makes sense that if you have 15 4 inch holes with the flow of water tending to create negative pressure in the pipes, it could definitly suck the co2 out in a hurry. Especially if you have positive pressure in the grow room and you're exhausting the outside room under neg. pressure. Something that's not clear to me tho is how can your room be puffed up (positive pressure) if its sealed (no intake) and if anything, air is being sucked out through the pipes. Do you think the air from the air pumps going through the stones is really enough to pressurize the room?

just a heads up - I' not quite sure what size your room is, but if it was 20' x 20' x 12' with that ecoplus 7 (200 litre/min airflow or about 7 cfm) you would completely exchange the air in the entire room with outside air, if the drains are not sealed, every 11 hours.

Intake1/2" and I have 3 3/4" returns out of each bucket..Every week I go through each bucket and pull any roots in the 3/4" tubes back through so no clogging yet...I figured the room was puffed up because of the air movement inside...4 fans that say 5800 cfm and the 5 ton air con which might be 3-5000 cfm...Hadn't though about the air pump bringing in outside air, I will turn it off and see what happens...Drains get fixed tomorrow..

Thanks for the math turboz

You're girl's look like they are very happy with it also.

I haven't used co2 before, but it is kinda weird that the co2 ppm would go from 1100 to 0. I would think if the air pump was your problem, your co2 meter would read 300-400 ppm - unless your plants really are using all the available co2.

that root mass is incredible. How did you veg? in the buckets or do you have another system to get them bigger and move them over?

dd-

-No real changes stretch has stopped and the flowers are starting to get bigger...I will get you pictures next week at the end of the 4th week when we see some more frostiness...

-Again nice to see you and cant wait to see the 10lb plant project..

-Been thinking about running a plant outdoor in a 55 gallon drum using your methods..Anyone have any ideas?????

Brookstone-

Cloned in rockwool and transferred to 3x3 rckwl for a couple days then into the 10" netpots on maybe 3 gallon buckets for 3 weeks dripped 24/7...Easy...I do have a chiller in the veg room which probably helps with 24/7 drip...

pharmaseed-

I have had no problem with this timer, but will probably go through dd's guy (http://www.nowirenuts.ca/) for any other major electrical hardware...IE flip-box....The only difficult part was dealing with the 1 gauge wiring that is required, it doesn't turn or flex very much..

Everyone here has heard of root-porn...I would like to start stump-porn and invite all tree growers to post pictures of there tree-stumps with a reference in the pic and how many weeks into flower the plant is...

My pics are with the standard 4oz Pyrethrum total release can at 3 weeks into flower...
