thanks, those pics are a week old and this last week she really filled out.

Please take a look at the pictures I post tonight and let me know what you think. I checked the trichomes, and she is in the window now, but I could push maybe one more week. I generally take the plants down in sections, so it will take me about a week to cut and trim this plant entirely. So we may be closer to thesame lines of thinking than it seems.

@Joe Fresh - I want to start off by saying you are definitely correct. I checked the trichomes again in multiple different areas and we have almost entirely cloudy. There is the start of ambering, but it is pretty minimal. She definitely has another week of baking time to go. I thank you, very much, for your wise candor.

looking like you got about 2 weeks left judging from those last pics...the white hairs will shrink, and the calyxes will swell, filling out the bud and adding more weight...personally if you can i would wait the next 2 weeks or so...but if you can wait and need to amoke now, then by all means do what ya gotta do....we all want perfect buds but sometimes due to circumstances, we gotta cut early

That is pretty much it in a nut shell. And I think finding it was worth all that trouble. But there is a down side... I lost the mother to this one. But there is an upside, too... I have seeds growing on two of the lower branches, so I made some crosses and didn't lose out on the genetics entirely! AK-47 x Chemdog 91 sk va and the other is AK-47 x mango tango. Both I expect to be at least decent given the mom. The male mango tango I'm using had a very peachy smell to us stem. And the chem male I used has wonderful structure, and nice hollow stems.

I will be taking you up on your advice. Though I will take one main downin a week just for test sake ... Lol, and I am running low on personal smoke. Been focusing on finding good phenos to repopulate my stable, so I've been culling more than I've been finishing. But it is a all forthe sake of the end game. Sacrifice now for a great benefit later.

Plus with my latest allergies to smoking male pollen by means of bananas/hermies, I am culling things some would normally save.

Very sad I don't have a clone for this one, but I am VERY happy I got two lower branches to set seed. So, I now have a fun project to try next year. If those turn out well, and I can find a good pair, I will make a bunch of seeds in a subsequent run.

I got a buddy who did ak by ss for quite a few years and he sed he went 10 or 11 wks.

you can always reveg her....if you cut her early then throw some 24/7 light on her for 2-3 weeks, and then back to 18-6 lighting...they will reveg and grow new shoots from the buds...but it only works if you dont let your plant fully mature.....but if you cut your plant early you risk the seeds you made not be ready also...

Def worth a shot if its a winner but w ak from ss its such a true breeder imo it wouldn't be a long shot to try to find one just like it in another pack.

I have two seeds left from the pack as Insurance.

I'm really easy going, so I think I'm going to choose to keep my eyes on the future. I'm looking forward to both of those crosses.

The chem male I used seems to be much better structured when compared to all the rest from the pack. I had a choice of so few males and I think I chose correct, but we will see for sure, later this year.

The mango tango male looks better, in general, than the chem male, so really it's anyone's game. By 2016 we will know for sure. And THIS is what is fun for me. I just get to smoke the results of my fun. I love cannabis!

Damn thats too bad you didn't keep cuts bud. I do that too sometimes. Out of 24 years you'd think I'd know by know, lol. But I usually cut off the production material. The solid chunky buds. I will leave for or 5 branches and I will leave the buds alone, except for tearing off the pistols. Seems to help the reveg conversion. REPOT IT asap and flush it really good. Then give it a moderate nitrogen fertilization. Should reveg for you no problem. I am actually about to do it to 2 Ghost Og s1's I found. I already have legit Og cuts but these are too good to pass up. I need to run them again, lol!
But the AK has always been a favorite of mine. The infamous cherry pheno is amazing. I've never ran it but have smoked it. My cut was a very fruity tasting smoke with great potency and yields.
Simon at Serious Seeds is a true breeder. A mentor for for people like me. I very highly respect him. Many people release f1's and call themselves breeders. You have a vision and breed for it, for generations by selective breeding and a good eye! Great breeder who deserves MAD respect!

AK-47 has always been one of my favorite genetics used in crosses. I can'tresult remember smoking it straight. Can't wait. I don't plan to reveg this one though. I did take a clone that rooted, but it started to Auto flower so I got rid of the clone. I'm very happy with how this one turned out, and that's the only reason I'm going to enjoy sprouting the seeds I made. She really is a very nice plant. Hopefully the progeny are off similar quality (and don't Auto) .

I totally agree with you about true breeding.
I've had a few people hit me up already for the seeds in the making (mainly the AK-47 x Chemdog 91) but I want to go through them and find a good pair. If there even is some to be had. The male is not proven yet. These will be my first run with a male that I chose. So... Can only hope for the best :)
