I just tried to order 3 packs, but somebody cleaned out SVOC. I am on back order at the moment. I have heard nothing but good things about the sky lotus, and Screws over at EYE SEE mag recommends it. He is a strait shooter, with mad grow skills. So I trust him, but I have not grown out the sky lotus.

Dude.... I'm so dumb some times (most of the time). I googled "Eye See Mag" to see about that recommendation re: the Skylotus, couldn't find anything and then realized what website you were talking about. Smacking my forehead right now. If I was the type of person to use emojis, I'd post a "Doh!" emoji right now haha.

I'm only just now growing four Bodhi strains, but they're all doing well. The Clusterfunks are pretty impressive, but I got two males out of three seeds so far. The Apollo 11 f4's are very, very impressive, but I'm not sure those seeds are available right now. If they are, I'd grab some of those ASAP.

Goji, I think, would be my choice if I could only grow one strain. I haven't grown it yet (got two packs of it, though), but I've smoked plenty of it and it's pretty much replaced Sour Diesel as my favorite strain. The Green Lotus was very good, too, if you like Green Crack. The White Lotus I had wasn't really my cup of tea, as it started out a little too racy for me.

One thing I've noticed with the three Snow Lotus crosses that I've smoked is that they all kind of have the same bud structure and smell/taste. Like I said in an earlier post re: an observation that @Bulldog11 made, it seems like the Snow Lotus male dominates whatever cross it was used for. Maybe something to keep in mind.
how do u veg your plants?what type of lights and liht schedule?

how do u veg your plants?what type of lights and liht schedule?

Seeds straight into equal ratios of composted peat/EWC/pumice with added amendments (rock dust, oyster shell, crab shell, neem meal, gypsum, kelp etc etc, I'm sure you've seen that mix haha). The mix I have my plants in right now are a 2:1 ratio of a four month old batch and a six week old batch.

Light is an Apache AT600. 16/8 lights on/off. Love that light. Waaaayyyy easier to keep temps at a reasonable level. At least right now. We'll see what happens once summer rolls around haha.

Sprouted everything right under that light, which is basically the equivalent of a 1000 watt HID. Even if I was using an HID, I'd sprout under the light I intended to flower under. It's super-obvious to me that there's no reason to start off with less intense light and in a "starter soil mix" (sorry @Bulldog11 I know we've discussed this ad nauseum, I'll try the 60/40 peat/EWC mix to start seeds in at some point, but right now I like the idea of starting seeds in the mix they'll be growing full-term in haha). Obviously, I had the light about four feet above the pots when I sowed the seeds, but as they've grown, I've lowered the light. As of right now, the Apache's about 30 inches above the canopy, which is the ideal height, according to Apache tech.

Why do you ask? You fucking with me, @happy b ? Questioning my gardening skills and shit???

I kid, I kid.... I don't know shit, just doing what all of my brothers and sisters here at the farm tell me to do. Kind of..... Haha!

Also gotta say, I just went and picked up a bag of Bu's compost earlier today, along with 80 pounds of Agrowin EWC (which I've been using all along). Can't fucking wait to see what the Bu's compost adds to the mix. Gonna brew an ACT with it tomorrow and also mix up a new batch of soil with a 50/50 ratio of EWC/Bu's. Let that ferment for a few weeks and throw my plants in that mix. Should be stellar.

No im not questioning your abilities i was just wondering if you did anything that ups the chances of more females.
According to dj short if you incorporate these techniques into the first 4/5 weeks of a seeds life(or until pre flowers show)youl get more females...
More blue spectrum light, shorter light schedules ie 16/8(i go 14-4&half-1-4&ahalf.that gives 15 hours of light and 9 hours of dark but the hour in the middle of the dark period stops the longer dark hours from unducing any sensitive plants),less nitrogen, lower temps and not letting your pots dry out
all the things mentioned above are said to give more females.i incorporate all these techniques and i swear by them.wen i was vegging my seeds under hps lights sometimes i was getting like 2 fems out of 12 seeds,1 female out 5 plants and so on but wen i startrd useing the techniques i mention above i was popping beans and the vast majority were females.out the last 20 or so seeds i popped and used those techniques i only got about 4/5 males.

WHAT IS UP BODHI FANS !! ! ! ! ! !
OK nuff caps Just wanted to do the Fly By and drop a pic or two of the Best of the Best Girls from my Lady Bodhi gear, as I said I ended up with a few Issues All caused by me, but one lady has been rocking from the start and would not give up the Ship, She is a Apollo 11 Cross with a Fem DJ Short blueberry and she be a Rocket ship to the Starz. here is a shot of her.

Dude.... I know you weren't questioning my abilities (I have no abilities to be questioned haha, I dunno anything), I was just fucking around, talking shit, whatever haha.

16/8 light schedule seems obvious to me to veg with. Whenever I read about people doing, like, 24/0 lighting schedules during veg, I'm always like,"Huh?" That just ain't natural. Even if you were vegging outdoors in, like, Greenland during winter or something, you'd still get a few hours of darkness (I think; never been to Greenland haha).

But yeah, seems to me that one should try to keep things as close to how things work outdoors indoors. Sprouting seeds in the medium they'll finish in, light schedules that mimic seasonal light durations, sprouting and vegging under the light you intend to flower them under (with the exception of HPS, like you said). In my case, the Apache I'm using is a 3:2 red/white bulb (if I remember correctly), the whites being the equivalent of a more "blue" spectrum, like a metal halide, and the reds being equivalent to an HPS. So, close to an even ratio of "red" and "blue" light.

Or, er, something haha!

Been up since 4:30 this morning. Blazed some Cherry Pie and ate some Cuban take-out a couple hours ago, my girl just woke me up off the couch, kind of a little dazed, dunno if I'm making sense or not.

But as I said in an earlier post, all of my plants except the two Clusterfunks are showing female so far. Tossed one of the Goldstars because it was seriously lagging and to make a little more room in the tent. But even still, it's looking right now like I have fucking fifteen females out of eighteen seeds. I'm certain that that'll change as the days go by, if for no other reason than it seems impossible to me to get that kind of ratio. And also because I don't have space to flower out fifteen females haha.

Wanna take a couple off my hands? Haha!

I have to wait a couple weeks to drop the Snow crosses, but 20 for 20(5/5 SSDD,MC,DB,Goji) germ rate 100% so far!View attachment 554578 you can't see the Dream Beaver or Goji well, but they're up today!(pic taken yesterday)

Have you got a grow diary up for these?

Thanks guys. I'm blown away yet again by the help I receive on this forum. Iv got lots to think about. I'm pretty sure I will be doing a full Bodhi run. Iv got my seeds popped for my current run so I have about 4-6 weeks to plan which I'm gonna run. Is it ok if I come back on with my selection for some advice?
