Ya I want to scrog....
Really what I want to do is let them grow 2 feet, supercrop everything down to 10", put the scrog on asap, dead on them at 10", veg and tuck till 85% of canopy is filled...
Here is my question. If at day 10 I have a couple renegade tops, do I then clip those top fans, to slow it down while the rest of them stretch and catch up? Am I on the right track?
Just growing a plant is one thing, but manipulating it do what you want,
I think is what you skilled growers understand from trial and error,
that maybe a person has to witness to completely understand...
That will be year 2 :)
so in one of his videos he has his full canopy finishing
no scrogging
3+# per light
the reason is
when you scrog
you are bending down a main and for ing all those nodes that would have packed on heavy production
you are forcing them to be mains
growing stems to hold themselves
the plant knows how much to regulate per growth node
minimizing your final weight
when you allow main branches to come all the way up to the apical/center branch
the plant has now shifted its hormones to distribute to all those mains
it also knows how strong those mains are and then pack on the weight
that is why
he and other industrial growers "
Sea of Green"
which dosnt necessarily mean a shit tons of plants
you can run fewer plants as long as you run it high enough to get enough lower and then manipulate to get those lowers level with apical
then you have a true canopy
scrogging is redistributing all those hormones into a bunch of weak puny branches and telling them "grow big buds"
it just wont
that is my theory anyways
that is why to never see high production gardens running scrog
they do use nets
but never to lay down and tuck
just to support the weight they produce
you should be able to pull.....with CO2
2 1k's
8 buckets
4+#'s easy
but I say if you scrog
you will cut that down to about
1-1.5# per light
