what's the difference between always being negative and just sometimes being negative..... Anyhow it I think the frustration is coming from peoples plateau in skills or results.....although it may read as though people are reinventing the wheel I'll speak for myself... I'm not reinventing the wheel just using it differently and if you do the math 3$ a day can turn into a major savings for a major budget....lol everything goes in cycles pretty soon growers will start saying putting buds in freezer will make buds hermy ....no matter how much I read or talk or experiment I'll never stop learning and I'll never stop applying what I know and I appreciate people sharing their experiment pretty soon this also will cycle around and no-one will share shit and make people learn off there own mistakes for years.....I got 99 problems but curing ain't one

I'm trying to figure out what the meaning of crazy light I is. I run 20 on 4 off in veg and 12/12 in bud. Don't understand what the problem is. Whatever.

Whats the reasoning of taking out of freezer a hour everyday? ON Day 3

Hey Medusa I do believe squiggly gave an answer a few pages ago. If your are looking for some science in the answer. I can say this seeing I only hang for 48 hours there is obviously still moisture in the buds. On the first day u take them out and they come to room temperature you will see they are still very sticky. After being in the air for an hour they are noticeably drier. After doing this for five days you will see that your bud is significantly drier than it was on the first day. So do I think it has to be an hour a day for five days period. No I don't. I think this is an area that could still be tinkered with. It's just how the method was brought to me and what I have been doing. Hope that helps you. Give it a try. I've yet to be disappointed.

the same reason you can turn your lights off for 4 hours in veg and save 3$ a month. LOL

sorry guys, i know im just giving you a hard time. i imagine freezer burned buds and cracked heads all over the base of the freezer... puff what you puff dont let anyone stop ya! i'll leave my opinions outta it though, seems GRASSROOTS ORG has a little pitchfork line for anyone not doing crazy light schedules, calling keepers before smoked, and freeze drying my weed. god i feel like im back in the 90s again. haha. sorry guys just ignore me, i'll never intend to be negative just open and honest.

can i see some of these majestic freezer "cured" nugs?

AL there are no broken heads on the freezer base. The weed sits there undisturbed. No question if you start moving things around and stuff obviously u would do some damage. What I don't understand is the tone in ur posts. I don't do any crazy light schedule and I could care less who tries this method or not. I didn't start the thread. Left a post one day and this is how it turned out. I don't care how people treat their bud. I've already stated that. What's the problem bro? Consistently looming for confrontation. You can say ur not but seriously smart ass comments are confrontational. As a mod u should be held to a higher standard. Or do something else. It's annoying bro. Sorry we are a few dudes who met on this forum got to know and like each other. So what's the problem. U have a personal? Why? It's all good either way. I guess ed Rosenthal is a dope. So is everyone else who has tried this. We get it u don't agree. But ur a g from what I understand humor me and put a couple grams in the freezer. Leave it alone. Then smoke it. Then come back with an opinion. I'll have some respect for it then. Until u do that why not just keep opinions and pot shots to ur self.

Also flash dried? Read the posts. They are in the freezer for a month. Maybe a tutorial on "the inner workings of a frost less freezer" would help u. A month in the freezer then a minimum of 14 days in a jar is far from flash dried. Stop being a dick head bro. U having slow sales on the beans or something. U must be bored.

Hate with a PLANT, IS TOTAL NONSENSE.. no matter your belief system or whatever. This plant is soo diverse its retarded, literally thats how we get mutant plants. Egos with a plant is like COME ON REALLY? We spread LOVE not WAR, but we not gonna lay down for the sake of just being a door mat. We are NOT spreading any FALSE info or FALSE opinions. IF YOU DO YOUR RESEARCH, you can find out that MAJOR AG companies use the GLR. And alot of UNDERGROUND legends use it with MUCH SUCCESS. Just keep it CIVIL, THERES NO REASON to bicker and battle of a plant that you can LITERALLY leave in the woods and come back to buds. It grows itself. And the ways to get it growing is vast, just READ AND DO THE KNOWLEDGE. Logic thanks for making a forum where like minds can connect or disconnect. Agreed not EVERYBODY WILL SEE EYE TO EYE. Just nature. but PLEASE lets keep it CIVIL, alot of us here are just looking to TRULY PRESERVE these genetics before the gov pigs run down like a sweep ona hot block. So lets keep this with no egos and tight pants please.
RESPECT.

I hope you grow all of your weed outside, because that's what this logic would suggest you do.

In fact I hope you randomly find it growing in a field somewhere and don't cultivate it at all.

The point is that there's a first time for everything--and it's pioneers of new methods who have brought us to the point we are now at.

There was a time when HPS was not the standard. Your posts read to me as being change-averse rather than critical.

Also, I can't find where anyone suggested you should dunk nug in water before freezing it. I think you're calling that up from a previous "tek" that had circulated on the web years ago. I don't find any reference to that here (but maybe I'm missing it in skimming through).

FWIW, using a frostless freezer should limit breakage of terpenes relative to tossing them in a normal freezer (where you'll get quite a lot of this going on).

They will still be brittle and should be handled carefully upon removal until they are at room temp, but I don't see any reason why--without frost--there should be an inordinate amount of trichome breakage. This seems to me a misunderstanding of why and how trichomes break in the deep freeze in the first place (it is linked to the formation of ice crystals--which a frostless freezer will mostly avoid)

Hey cave sorry it took a second to get back to u. Yes I have checked with a loop. I haven't forund any significant signs of damage to the trichs. I have dropped a bud fresh from the freezer though and did get some obvious Trich breakage. However it was only in the spot that hit the floor. Lol. Hope that shines some light for u.

You know some people just don't get the concept of a forum. Its for discussion...for knowledge sharing...Ideas abound... if you read something and you don't totally agree with it, that is your right. But please moderate your reply, be polite and respectful of others opinions. And remember its their opinion and their experience..so don't walk all over them for posting it.
Sublimation/freeze drying....hang drying...curing... there is many ways/styles of doing every step of this plant. From cracking seeds to curing the finished bud. Even processing the trichomes ie hash. What the point is, is that what works for one person, may not work for the other. and during these steps, if any details in your process is off, your not going to have perfect results. The more ideas thrown out there the more peeps are going to be enjoying Mother MaryJane.

And I once had a Big Bud of Mango that I shove into a large pill bottle. I put that baby in the freezer (dried of course) and forgot about it. a month later, hey look what I found!!!! I came out of that bottle smelling neutral, until I start breaking it up...wow!
Its was smelly...dense... tasted more than awesome, and burnt awesome as well. Me likey!!!
Well I tried it again, with different bud from a friend... it turned out ,,, not so good and not sure why. We thinks it might not of been fully dry. Don't know...But that's my point. so many things come into play.

Gamrstwin36 said it good....
