curing nug the right way?

maybe you should re read both our post, and see who is being negative and complaining. this is a discussion board. what if i dont suck your asshole and techniques i cant join in on ideas? relax dude and take a breath.
the fact is putting your weed in anything lower than 50 degrees IS BAD as far as i have known and learned. you fracture all the outside trichomes, leaving it smelling a lot better cause they are open (see "dry ice hash" or "bubble hash" and tech behind it... freeze=fractured heads falling off=concentrates) but are now degraded and stale.

why fix something if it isnt broken? same could be said for LEDs, water cooled lights, dry trim vs wet, gas lantern technique... i just think there are a crew of like 5 of you spitting "research" as strict knowledge. read through how you deviate your posts. you make them seem fact. then two posts ago you said still developing and shit. how many people in this thread have you convinced to throw weed in the freezer without real research? thats my only problem here. I'm always open to new ideas but.... well you dont make it sound like and end all, but a must try....

for you newer people... i suggest trying to dry it the NORMAL way first.... then see what happens. but most people are so impatient they start sweating too early or just fuck up and end up with hay so.... whatever makes it easy for you. no disrespect intended nor taken @Tnelz , im here for discussion and knowledge not drama. i just dont have a filter and will ask what i think, which is a hell of a handy tool to have and not be ashamed of.
i'll happily eat my foot when someone drops proof and knowledge that im wrong, thats why im here i love info.

and as far as the paper bags its a humidity regulator and works more perfect that any other product ive found... that is free.... on every corner at every store.... lol

Ok. Listen. I am all for traditional dry cure. I agree with u a thousand percent. 1000% that anyone new to growing should learn how to dry and cure traditionally. No doubt. Your wrong here though bro. I apologize if I misread ur post but it's confrontational to suggest I or anyone else here can't do things like hang and dry. So I've read all the same things u did. When this was brought to me I thought it was nuts. But said fuck it and tried it. It works. That's a fact. Believe or don't. I don't do it because it doesn't. Sorry it's an on going learning process that I continue to try ways to make it better. Ask someone like sea maiden if hanging in a 40 degree room to dry is bad. It isn't. This isn't a 40 degree room I know but it just shows u that that under 50 stuff isn't true. There is nothing wrong with my trichomes or the quality of my bud. If someone wants to try it what's the harm. Ur just plain wrong here bro. So others on this thread tried it and it worked for them. Another person didn't like it. Did I swoop in and attack. No. It's cool to each their own. But for u to just outright say this doesn't work or is stupid isn't right. No place have I espoused science in this. I can use the word fact because it works for me fact. Even the dude that didn't particularly like it didn't smash it like u are bro. Give it a shot with a couple buds. If it doesn't work like I say it does or u just don't like it then come back and say that. U just don't have a leg to stand on in till u do. I apologize for my tone. Earlier. After rereading ur post. What exactly is real research bro. Isn't putting my weed into the freezer real research. Isn't changing up the process every time I do it to ultimately find the best way to do it research. Jesus bro. U asked a question how many people have I convinced to do this. I don't know nor do I care. How many people have come back to the thread and said it sux. None. One dude who never tried it did and loved it. Another not so much. If I was pushing this stupid weed ruining process on people which I'm not but if I was and it totally sucked don't u think we would have herd by now. So I don't know. I'm trying to be cool with it. I have no problem with debate but ur initial post was claiming we were looking for another way to do things Cuz we were unsuccessful at ur way. By the way I know why one would use a paper bag. I've tried it. Don't see any reason to need it if ur environment was right in the first place. But u don't hear me stomping on it. Just annoys me bro not going to lie. Also if u notice there are plenty of seasoned growers on this thread who were excited to try it. They must be crazy as well. It's an easier way to do things. Fact. Ur weed comes out better or at least as good as traditional. Fact. Why does it work. I don't have a clue. Only know that it does. Just curious what is unscientific about experiment. Lol. I'm totally done with this. Hope there are no hard feelings. Put some bud in the freezer. A gram or two. I'm sure u have many pounds. Follow the directions laid out for u. Let me know what u think. If u hate it I'd love to hear it. If ur objective in the very least u will c that it works and keeps it so simple. And isn't that the name of the game keeping it simple. Peace bro.

tried this with a cola of stardawg. maybe it is strain dependent, but I didn't notice any improvement over the whole-plants that hung in the dark for 3 weeks. I actually preferred it less. Might try agin with another strain down the road a bit.

well...the bud closed up somewhat..looked more clumpy than having bulbous calyx..that part I didn't like so much. This pheno of stardawg didn't get run for it's flavor (mildly sweet pine) but after a month cure it gets really skunky smelling with a chem funk..the freezing kept it closer to a sweet soy/mushroom that it has in early drying, although the skunkiness smell was there too. The high seemed similar no real jump in potency or anything. The smoke is smooth already with major expansion..about the same. The pheno I ran is getting the back burner while I concentrate on some other seeds..going on a flavor kick. So, the things I didn't seem to care for might change with a more flavorful smoke.
I'll report back when I do. Also note that I went with a 3 week freeze after 4 days of hanging with the last 4 -5 days of getting it out for an hour.

i'd venture to say a few of the people here just havent been able to pull a decent harvest and sweat/cure. looking for easier ways out. nothing beats darkness a little circulation and good ol eye/hand work. you can chop shit 3 days or 15 days and toss it in a paper bag, it will regulate moisture killer..... why make things harder?? i dont get it. hydrometer - science/sweating - releasing of gasses - storage for full breakdown. you dont need to make FPOG popsicles to be smokin herb...

Meaning it has a built in evaporator that draws out all moisture! The bud dries slowly without loosing the potency you would if you are drying in above 65 degree temps.

my official guess (that aint worth much lol) is to thaw some to evaporate some moisture out. then back in as to not lose turps? idk if thats right but damn i tried. lol @Power OG you know an answer to this? surly someone does.
