Anytime! If whatever I do can help others in some way, that’s all that matters.

I used my soil meter to test the wetness of the pots, and about 1.5-2.5” down is dry, but then goes to normal/wet right after. I don’t think it’s a cause for concern just yet.

It’s possible that the top part of the pot isn’t compressed enough to continually absorb moisture from below. I’ll give it a light pressing and see if that helps at all. I may need to also add some top dressing as well since the soil has settled a bit since I transplanted.

Bottom left: Strawberry Gorilla A
Removed some of the garden wires as she’s grown in those bends. Added some different lst points, trimmed a few larf and tiny fan leaf sites.

Not flowering yet.

Bottom right: Strawberry Gorilla B
More or less the same as A.

A few days into flower

Top left: Strawberry Gorilla C
Did some lst to her. She’s a beast. Thick stalk, giant leaves, some nodes developing.

Not flowering yet.

Top right: Strawberry Gorilla D
Added the 90 clip back. Has some pistils I think. Could just be preflower growth.

Flowering status: maybe?

Taking a break before jumping into the photo tent.

More or less the same. Here’s a close up of her question mark shape:

Every pot was heavy, so still zero need to top water.

I scraped away the top layer / pressed down a little bit and you could easily tell it’s moist there.

Tomorrow I’ll need to feed the autos. Since everything is still younger than 4 weeks, I won’t be adding nutrients until next weekend. I’ve been using Orca the last few watering, otherwise that’s it.

So far I’m happy with the way things are going!

Nothing done yet aside from watering them. I’ll be LST’ing them shortly.

Aside from filling the trays below, I haven’t done a watering from the top in almost a full week. I’ll check the soil saturation and weight when I do tonight’s LST’ing.

So far I’m loving this setup.

Top left: the chonker, top right: the late sow
I didn’t do anything to either of them tonight. The chonker is a little droopy and some tips are lightening up, so I left her alone. The late sow I didn’t see much of a need to do anything just yet.

Bottom left:

Did some more training and evened out her canopy. She keeps growing, which is nice.

Bottom right: snipped a fan leaf or 2, otherwise nothing. She’s already flowering and is a runt for sure. Maybe she’ll make some okay buds.

Taking a blunt break and will be resuming with the photo tent shortly.

The nightly photo tent pic:

Did some LST’ing on all but the middle.

Used my soil meter to test moistness, and in every pot it registered as normal or wet 2” or below. The pot on the bottom right I have *some* concerns as it’s reading similar on half the pot, but the other half is much further down. I’ll keep an eye on it in the meantime, but overall everything seems to be going very well.

The autos are all growing differently for being the same strain under the same conditions. Verdict is still out on how they’ll grow and finish, but I gotta say I’m not a fan of autos. The few week early harvest doesn’t really seem worth it to me.

The photos are doing great. Right now they’re drinking about 1/4 to 1/3rd of a gallon of water from the bases daily. The growth seems to be coming in well, and all are being very receptive to the LST’ing.

Did some LST’ing and because of vodka, I did some defoliation.

Strawberry Gorilla A:

I ended up removing all wires. She’s in pre-flower/flower, and is likely done growing at this point.

They likely need a watering tomorrow already. I’m having a somewhat tough time regulating the temp in this tent for this grow (peaked at 86F today!), and the humidity is kind of all over the place (between 50 and 65%).

I had plants A and B mixed up in a previous post, so bottom right is plant A, bottom left is B.

Overall thoughts so far:

Plant B seems to be doing the best so far - it has quite a few nodes (the most so far), has quite a lot of growth, and seems to be on track with the seed banks estimate.

Plant A seems to have flowered early, and could be the runt of the litter.

Plant C (the chonk) is growing very heavy on the leaves. I thought she was stunted, but she’s looking like a head of cabbage. Growth is strong tho.

Plant D seems to be growing well. Not much to say at the moment.

Overall, I mixed on this part of my grow. I don’t think I’ll ever do autos again unless I stumble upon free seeds. The inconsistency between the same strain is kind of off putting.

Photos will be next.

Tonight’s photo tent lst pics:
6AAFD704 793B 4414 83FC 41FE1CFB9F4B

Any branches / nodes from the bottom up to node 2 have been cut off all of the plants with the exception for the center (silver alert).

Every plant smells amazing so far. They’re starting to get their own distinct aroma.

Same with the autos. I didn’t mention that, and while I can’t put my finger on a distinct smell yet, they do smell very sweet where as these photos smell very earthy.

Every pot was heavy tonight still, and some of the dryer spots were more moist without any intervention.

I did order some tubs that holds up to 4 gals each off Amazon tonight. They’ll arrive on Wednesday along with some new pipe cutters (because the one I have now hurts my hand to all hell). These tubs will hold something like 3-4 gallons, but they’re sized right to fit 5 into my 4x4 without much issue.

I’ll have a few left over, so I may try to work them into the auto tent. At worst, I move the already flowering plant back into the photo tent since it’ll likely be done by the time I switch to flower on the photos.

We shall see, though!

Oh. And here’s pics of the question mark plant:

Ok, these "90 degree clips".....genius. I’ve never seen these before. Such a simple idea and design. I gotta get me like, 50 of these things....

The autos:

Didn’t do a whole lot. I did defrost the cheese Kush pollen and applied it liberally to a few buds on SG A:

6D626324 987C 44F1 AB1D 712C6BB829D3

Main stalk, buds right below the top bud. Hopefully this increases the chance of pollination.

I removed a few of the wires and red clips as some of the plants were leaning a little too much for my comfort, so I figure I’ll let them do their own thing over the next few days.

I also added some plant protectors to this tent:

Tomorrow I have some totes coming in that can hold 4 gallons of water that should fit into my photo tent and have enough room for everything still.

Going to hopefully swap that out tomorrow. I’ll likely start with 1/4 or 1/3rd dosage of nutrients starting with all of their next feedings.

I just finished watering the autos with half strength bloom nutrients (grow big and big bloom).

I also switched the risers to a smaller size so I could get the pots closer together and away from the sides of the tent.

New buckets are arriving today for the photo tent. I’m going to hold off on filling up these current bases and do the swap tonight + feed them all with nutrients.

I upgraded the buckets. They can hold way more water (2 gallons in the front buckets, need to add a gallon each to the back).

They fit way better, too. I need to adjust their positions a smidge, but I think this will be much better.

Since I had to cut new wicks, I’m going to do a light top watering for now, but other than that, I haven’t top watered in over a week.

I did add 50% nutrients tonight as well.

They seem to be enjoying their new reservoirs.

I’ll be flipping these girls on Feb 22nd, which will be about 8-9 weeks for all plants to be in veg. I may start topping this weekend to make LST easier.

they look awesome! I love those clips too! following!
Thanks!

Those clips are definitely awesome for bending. Until you don’t pay attention and can’t easily remove them 😅 oops haha
