For just a little more, there is this light but I don’t know anything about it other than what I’ve read here.I just bought that mars 2.3x2.3 for my mom, Amy. It came with the mars ts1000 light which is definitely worth the upgrade from the 600 from what I’ve read.
I’ve become rather diligent about checking for regularity in the buds after my last plant had a bud worm in a really nice cola. This morning, I noticed this discoloration. I poked gently around it with a pin as a probe to see if any of the leaves were loose, and nothing. Everything is solid. Is this something I should be considered about or just keep an eye on? The rest of the plant looks great. View attachment 1048444View attachment 1048445View attachment 1048446
Nope. Nothing comes loose at all. What happens if you tug on one of the leaves in the area of discolouration? Does it pull easy?

I know. Do you think it would still be of benefit to keep her inside for another week or two, kicking her out for some sunshine on days where it’s 40 F or higher, but otherwise keeping her inside, sans decent light? Assuming I can also keep my cats from eating any more of her leaves when inside.
That’s what I did. Couldn’t even budge any of it loose. Just kind of got sticky to the needle I was using as a probe.I don’t know enough about bud rot to diagnose but I’d inspect and prod that area of the flower a bit. See if it’s brown or mushy in the center.
^^^Any thing you can do to extend flowering would help.
That's a shame, I only grow under lights indoors and I've never seen anything like that ( brown) on any of my plants.Checked that bud site on the main cola again today. It wasn’t any larger or worse, but I basically excavated the bud/calyces there. No worm, no poop, just brown. It’s gone now but the stalk at the base remains brown. The light would be to go with the tent I haven’t yet bought either to grow inside with. That's a shame, I only grow under lights indoors and I've never seen anything like that ( brown) on any of my plants.
A fan is constantly on, 3 of them plus the extraction system so there's no chance of a condensation on the leaves even with 60+% humidity. I believe youve managed very well so far just on your balcony, impressive but I noticed in the thread above you're looking at LED's? I don't know very much about lights but there's Migro on YouTube and he has reviewed and tested a lot of LED's, he builds his own brand as well but he is in Dublin Ireland and probably not your nearest supplier. Check out his channel if you haven't already bought a light, or even if you have. I use Lumatek, they are Photontek in the US and Canada. They build pretty neat lights from 100 watt light bars to 1000 watt pro arrays, I am biased, I've a couple of their lights and I think they are the business. They come with a 5 year warranty, and no I don't work for them LOL!
Good air circulation is vital, especially in the dark when there is a rise in humidity.
Well then you have a blank slate and can shop around. I know the " Quantum boards" are very good and reasonable price but the newest design seems to been these " light bars". I can only tell you about those I have, a little large for a tent, although you can get some pretty big tents too lol. Ive grown under all sorts of indoor lights and these LED's I have now are growing buds on buds! Honestly I haven't seen results like this from just 1200 ( 2 x 600) watts before. They do make a really good 465 watt I believe but they have a 200 or 300 watt as well. My flower room sits at 25 C with the lights on. Obviously, every room, light and situation is different and you might, most likely, will get different results.Did I mention how sticky these buds are??? The other plant never smelled and was never sticky like this one is.

Yes, I found two seeds in some bubba kush from one of our dispensaries. I planted them both 7/29 and they both popped through the soil 8/1. By 9/3, this one identified clearly as female. I gave the other plant another week to display pistils and when that didn’t happen, he was culled.Well then you have a blank slate and can shop around. Is that plant from seed?

Seeds are like a box of chocolates, you just never know what youre going to get. I like clones, fewer surprises. But even all those bubble gum started out as 5 seeds. Similar to these Biker Kush and I too am growing some bag seed, Sundae Driver, that I was given with the cannabis. There are also 5 of them. I try and clone everything and then if I find really good or rubbish genetics I sort them accordingly. I get my clones from my own plants just before I switch them over to 12/12, saves space. Ive only got one room and a ferrets hutch to work from LOLYes, I found two seeds in some bubba kush from one of our dispensaries. I planted them both 7/29 and they both popped through the soil 8/1. I have yet to get a clone to root and I’ve never been given one to work with.Seeds are like a box of chocolates, you just never know what youre going to get. I like clones, fewer surprises. I can certainly help with advice so you might improve your chances. The weather is probably turning where you are but if you had a tent and light then the time of year is not so relevant as you create your own climate. Beachwalker on here has had great success rooting cuttings in a simple potting soil mix and a small tray/propagation unit with a heat mat. We were chatting about clones and bugs over there on his beach house thread. I check in here everyday and I am more tgan happy to help so if there's anything about taking cuttings and rooting them you are not sure about just ask. Its simple stuff. Clean tools and careful cuts, the right temperatures are the key to success.I have yet to get a clone to root and I’ve never been given one to work with.
I think I didn’t really have a well controlled enough environment or enough patience for them to succeed before. But I will be trying again. Thank you!I can certainly help with advice so you might improve your chances.
