Grow particulars;

ENVIORNMENT

4 foot X 4 foot square growing area in a 48" total height crawl space. I built a 4' x 4' frame out of 2x3's that I will be using in conjunction with heavy plastic garden fencing in a SCROG format.

PLANTS

I have acquired 5 plants that have been vegging outdoors up until now, they have been wired down and have started to spread out already and stand about 7-10 inches.

***note all 5 are infested with fungus gnats.

NUTRIENTS

Pretty sure I am going to run with general hydroponics organic lineup.

GROWING MEDIUM

3 gallon plastic standard pots with sunshine mix #4.

LIGHTING

G2-800w PARmaxx parabolic refraction integrated full spectrum LED grow light.

Nice clean space new, look forward to seeing the girls do their thing.
Is the LED unit 800watts at the wall or the output from the diodes? If its from the wall we should be running about the same amount of watts, except I run multiple units over an area of about the same size just slightly different dimensions.

Thanks, the unit is 800w from the wall (well that is what is advertised anyways, I can check it with a meter.... give me a day or 2). The light can run at 400w or 800w, I'm assuming the 400w is for veg and the 800w is for flower. I'm running it balls to the wall full power ;) see what this sucker can do!

Today I fed the plants and started running calmag as recommended by the manufacturer. I also wired the plants down to bush them out a bit more before I put up the screen.

noticeable new growth happening. some leaf cupping, not sure if its magnesium / light related or just that the plants are trying to release some moisture. I cut the power in half and now I am only running the light at 400w to see if the problem gets corrected. I also added in a high volume fan to dry up some of the excess soil moisture. See if this works.

Looks like the problem has been solved :)

Going to town today to pick up a bomb for my fungus gnat issue and everything should be smooth sailing from here on out!

Nice new2led! I'm interested in the leds & how your farm progresses with those lights. Nothing better than witness it in front of your own eyes. That's why I love these sites! I have a Haight Solid State PPF-400 I used for clones and veg. It's good, but I only use CFLs becuz of power or lack of.
I'm starting to like this/that SCROG format. Maybe give it a go myself.
Are your 5 plants you have started? They look quite healthy with new growth too! Thanks for the thread and all your information. Salute:D

These plants are from seed, 5 femmed fruit punch seeds to be exact from herbies. I had them outside for a couple of weeks until my light arrived then moved them into the new enviornment. The bulk of the new growth has happend over the past 5 days since they have been under the led light source.

Things are going pretty smooth, plants are ready for another tie down session today. I'm going to take all the wires off and put the plants back into the original arrangement from day one so you can see the amount of growth that has happened. One note for anyone growing under leds is that you obviously dont need to water the plants nearly as much as you would under hps. I'm actually kind of worried about the amount of water still in the pots, don't want root rot!
Here are the plants from this morning.

may have messed up the 24 and 48 hour growth photos as pointed out by a fellow grower on another forum. Just to be sure here are the pics again in their correct format.

figured I'd take an overhead (as overhead as it gets anyways) pic to use for the baseline for the growth. I will take a pic from the same angle every couple of days so the new growth can be determined. Way easier this way.

all untied and put back to their original position. So this would be a 5 day growth comparison.

pretty unreal so far! I've only fed them ONE time (they are due for a feed tomorrow judging by the pot weight which is crazy!).

Here is a comparison photo, day one on the left and day 9 (today) on the right.

9days

Here are a few randoms from today as well.
